Interesting that Orton himself was well aware that becoming world champion in 2004 was WAY too early in his career and he wasn't ready for it in any shape or form. By 2008, it was a different story. Also, it's hard to believe Orton is only 33 - same age range as more recent guys like Ziggler, Swagger, Sandow, Sheamus, Miz, Ryback, etc. 13 years in WWE have taken it's toll, and he looks 5 years older than he really is.

HHH really pushed for orton for years i think the biggest reason they gave orton the belt at that age was because lesnar was known as the youngest wwe champ so orton became the youngest world heavyweight champion that and because they saw a future in him.

Its always great to see wrestlers do interviews where they can relax and just talk about everything. Props to Randy Orton for all that he has done for the WWE.

You are the best interviewer I have ever heard. No matter the guest, you always do the research needed to conduct a productive conversation. You show the guests and the listeners that you actually care about who is there which in turn makes your guests care and your listeners care.
He's young! 33 years old and talented as hell. Despite the fact that hes had two strikes with the wellness policy they can't hold him down forever. He needs another shot at a World Title.

This interview was great, Ive always heard stories about how randy was considered to be a asshole to wrestlers backstage but this interviewed showed the real person and he even touched on it slightly saying that he was younger and felt entitled. You can tell he's really matured, great stuff

I've always liked Randy. It has been great seeing him evolve over the years since he debuted. I use to refer to him as the dropkick king in his earlier days. Then over time he kept working on his ring work becoming quite fluid.
22:39 this was in 2013 and is crazy when he said when he get in his 40s he would start wearing shorts and he’s 41 now and wearing shorts down to the ring…man time flies
Randy is such a Professionell, he’s so good at making you hate him in the ring but then you see him irl and you’re like “that’s what he’s like?”.
Respect the hell out of him for that work schedule with shooting the movie too. That’s actually insane. Love people who grind like that
It’s crazy that I’m watching this video in 2020 (7 years after it came out) and Randy mentions Edge who at the time was retired from wrestling, but now he is back and he actually wrestled against Randy at WrestleMania which aired just a couple of days ago!

Its cool to see wrestlers out of character to see what they are really like. I always took Orton as being very arrogant just like his character is. Its refreshing to see that, at least in this video, he seems to be pretty down to earth.

I grew up watching WWF/WWE. In middle school I started doing martial arts and then started watching MMA. I am a very loyal fan to MMA. I love the sport and just had to stop watching WWE because it just isn't what it was before. I am a huge fan of MMA and my Wrestling flame got lit again. I started watching it again and I'm hooked again. I love both sports for different reasons. And I liked what they said about UFC and WWE. It was true. Great interview though. I just subscribed to this channel.
I like the fact that you do seem to be a wrestling fan while at the same time not fan boying and being respectful just ran across your channel here very interesting and good to hear the wrestlers here not holding anything back in their interviews

Got to see Orton at a live show in 01 and at WM Fan Axxess for WM 18 and he was pretty good back then. You could see he would be a huge star.
Cena had some independent time under his belt. It was on a Discovery Channel show about pro wrestling school. It showed his early years as The Prototype and his work with UPW before he got signed to OVW.

I give Randy Orton and any other wrestlers wife/girlfriend props for doing what they do. Not only is it hard for a husband/boyfriend to be away all the time, but to stick by them no matter what is hard, and they are tough women for doing that.
