Sam Newman' is a former Australian rules footballer and television personality. Today is more known for his wit, sarcasm, and not afraid to voice his opinion on life. His popular podcast "You Cannot Be Serious" has more than 11 million downloads. He played for the Geelong Football Club in the AFL from 1964 to 1980. He was known for his versatility on the field, playing in various positions including ruck-man, forward and defender, and has interviewed countless 'people of interest' from around the world on various media platforms.

I was listening to the ABC in the car on the way to town an interview with Shane Warne and enjoying his wonderful insights into the game of recent times going forward and it ended and I was smiling thinking I really do love listening to Warnie and the radio guy says "that is the last recording the ABC had of the late great Shane Warne" I turned the car around and drove 10 mins home went inside and got very emotional and reflective about what has happened as it dawned on me I wont be able to grow older listening to the most wonderful insight of modern cricket that I knew you will be very sadly missed Warnie Thanks Fossil Some Of The Most Wonderful ASMR !

My two favourite victorians ever! I have never meet both , I was in Koh Samui in October and had a beer in front of the resort where the king passed away .:-( Love to meet Sam . Game of golf with him would be a dream come true .
I met Shane & Sam at the Polo St Kilda a few years ago, Shane was such a Real Gentleman not long after he passed away, and Sammy was Sad he lost his Gorgeous Girl. I have always loved enjoyed Sammy and Shane got me through Tough Times the Footy Show. Met Sammy 3 times always a Gentleman I will love you Sammy Always. Thankyou Bless you xo

That was a good interview Sam from 25 years ago.You didnt have a love for cricket like Warney but you had other leisure activities in common with him.Like footy,golf,fast cars and poker,you must miss the great man.
