Fortunately, I live about 15 minutes from the beach. When I have bad seasonal allergies, I just walk along the sea shore and breathe deeply. Works all the time

I recently had a gum infection after a particle of food got stuck deep down in the gum. I tried mouthwash which only burnt my mouth and seemed to make my gums swell making my teeth feel loose. I stopped after a few days. I then rinsed with a mild solution of salt water (just ordinary salt) and the infection has now cleared up and everything's fine again. 40 years ago when I gave birth to my daughter, like most women I had sutures. I was given sachets of a liquid (I think it was some kind of Savlon) to put in my bath water. It didn't really help to heal things. Six years later I gave birth to my son. I didn't get offered any of the solution and asked my midwife why. She was old-school. She said to just add a handful of salt to the bathwater as salt is a natural antiseptic and soother. My sutures healed up very quickly, the wound was clean and the salt did ease the discomfort. As a lifelong asthmatic who hates using inhalers (haven't used one now for a number of years but really should), I am looking at getting one of these salt inhalers. If anyone has used one for asthma, I'd really like your input on whether they work or not.

Pink Himalayan salt has really been contaminated with heavy metals and microplastics. I would not use that salt for breathing anymore.

There is lots of stimuli that you may not expect in sensory deprivation salt baths. In my experience I can hear my heart beat, I can hear my breath, I can hear my joints crack and pop when I move. It can be strange at first. But once you give into the weighlessness and you actually allow your body to “let go” and relax fully. Also salt inhalers worked well for my allergies in the past. Remember, prevention is better than medicine!

Are you sure it comes from the Himalayans? I want to buy all the Pakistani salt.

Himalayan salt is rock salt or halite from the Punjab region of Pakistan. It is falsely marketed as being from the Himalayas. Philadelphia Cream Cheese isn't from Philadelphia either.

You do realize the Himalayas also reach into Pakistan? More specifically, the Punjab region. The Khewra Salt mines in Pakistan are right at the Himalayas.

Philadelphia cheese was founded in Philadelphia. Philly cheesesteak was founded in philly. Himalayan salt is found in the Himalayas, where’s the Himalayan ? Pakistan is not the only country the Himalayan is in, neighboring countries as well

@@Eye-it-azz True the Himalaya is located in Pakistan. However.. "Himalayan salt is mined from the Salt Range mountains, the southern edge of a fold-and-thrust belt that underlies the Pothohar Plateau south of the Himalayas in Pakistan" See "Wikipedia, Himalayan salt". "Himalayan salt doesn't actually come from the Himalayas. It's mined 186 miles away in Pakistan". For reference see: "How 800 million pounds of Himalayan salt are mined each year". Also, "Philadelphia cream cheese was invented in New York". For reference see: "Philadelphia Cream Cheese was never from Philly. So why do we call it that?"
