I just replaced the shifter pawl in my 2003 Harley-Davidson FXDL last year because it wouldn’t up shift from 1st gear. Now it works perfectly. Next on my to-do list, 95” big bore kit, Andrew’s 55H cams, Fueling cam plate and oil pump and Screamin Eagle heads. Should be a lot of fun!! 😅

It seems like every time you go to do something like a tuneup, it turns into a full rebuild lol. Maybe not quite that bad but close. I want to make sure i dont have any issues down the road

Ohh i know right!! 🫣 it always ends up worth it, but we put the hurt on these bikes, and i have been known to drag race at times, so nothing surprises me when things break lol

Looking forward to seeing it ! I'm also in the beginning stages of building up a '57 sporty. Have the engine/ tranny with title and poking around for a frame, frt.end, wheels, ect... I have the advantage of being just outside of Daytona Beach Florida so parts are pretty easy to find !

Sally on that transmission I would say it wouldn't be the shift cam doing that, it's your dogs on first 1 gear rounded off they should be almost to a point! They do that when it starts popping out of ⚙️!!!

We checked those, replaced the dogs and a few of the gears recently, wear and tear and fix and ride right 🤪 lol thanks for watching!!

Ahhh right! It’s back to back orders cuz bike shops and parts stores dont stock shovel/iron parts no more, cant hardly find evo parts now without ordering online. It adds up quick!

You exude too much happy energy to leave us deprived! I remember riding in freezing weather, snow and slush, about 40 years ago, I will leave that experience for you younger people. Luck with the 85, hope she doesn't demand too much monetary tribute.

I'm glad to see you're still alive, Sally !!!! I missed you. Hope you two had a great holiday. I'm hoping 2024 is going to be a decent year. How's the trucking business going? I used to get lonesome during the holidays because it slows down a bunch, and i was always taking loads that were late because the truck that was supposed to take the load didn't show up. Then when you got to delivery, they were always short handed on the dock because everybody was home with family !!!! Lol

Hey Bruce, thanks i did, hope u had a great holiday as well! Trucking is going well, fixing stuff and trucking along. Thankfully he doesnt have to deal with bumping docks or busy yards, we have been mostly dealing with smaller companies and agricultural customers, we are lucky to have found these guys for sure! I would be raising hell if my ol man has to sit for a whole day or deal with some of the troubles i see dry van carriers deal with! lol i’m learning it takes patience!

I hate this when I`m at the point I don`t wanna spend money, even on my bike! ...But then I break down & say, okay, just these few little parts. So, then I havta pay shipping. The next day I find other parts I need & havta pay shipping AGAIN! (Plus wait even longer to get my bike rollin.) I hate that! Did I say, I HATE THAT? Oh well, long time no see you!

I dont, most of our bikes only have wires going to the headlight and minimal electrical doo-dads lol. If i film on the bike, its just a cheapo strapped to my wrist
