You are very correct. I'm 71 years young and have seen many fads over the years. I started riding when i was 17. I've been a loyal harley guy the whole time. I'm very sad when i look out there these days to what the biker life has become. As you guys, I've kept the same beliefs. Some of my family wants me to put down my bike but I'm going to ride until i can't get on it !!!! Keep on Truckin!!!!!

I havto say; To each their own. I get what you`re sayin' & essentially agree. I even make fun of myself being a credit card biker (really I`m not) but I am a senior female living in an apartment. I have no garage or shop to work in & my man is no mechanic. Not to mention, older folks may not be able to handle long rides like we used to. Actually, you might be more thankful to those who have left older, low mileage bikes around for you to get ahold of at lower prices! There was a time when things were simpler & it`s no (corporate) mistake that things aren`t so simple now. That`s one reason I love the older HD`s & I do love all those who ride & wrench on them too. Positive rants are where it`s at!

I catch your drift. Got a tin can Dyna or as Harley calls it: a twin cam Dyna. Maintenance and repair done by this tin can repair guy who calls himself Wolfdog. Somehow every part I clean ends up having hair on it…….. 🐺🐺🐺 You’re doing wonderful work. Thanks for sharing the joy and encouraging people to get in. There’s a lot of cheap unfinished projects out there. Shipping containers full leaving for England e.g. every month. Running seventies Ironheads with 20% outer stuff missing for $1500.

Very well put into perspective. I've owned my Shovel for nearly 30 years now and have had put downs, sideways smiles, and not complementary comments. But I soldied on with all the problems. When I get out on the road and here every breath hear each blast out of the pipes and the pulse of each ignition stroke I know why I do it. Obviously you guys understand what so many don't. Thanks. Cheers from down under 🇦🇺 Stan.

He spent loads of money but its a bad ass twin cam, not no brand new m8. But i agree with you guys 1 million%, id rather have 4 or 5 bikes instead of 1 stupid expensive one.

Your content today is so true. I currently have an 08 Dyna, but my heart has always belonged to an Ironhead. I’ve had several over the years. I still have a permanent “Sportster Limp”. I’d like to see one of those new riders that call them Chicksters try to kick start a 60’s XLCH with a magneto. As an old timer I find it so great to see some young blood that realizes the real reason to own an old Harley and is carrying that reason on. As a 69 year old with a torn up back that rode everyday I could in my 50 plus years of riding, I wish I would have riden even more. My time in the saddle is winding down and it breaks my heart. I want to slap some of the younger that just let their bikes sit in the garage while they walk around with their biker outfits on and attempt to call themselves bikers. They’re missing the whole point. My advise to everyone is ride an far and often as you can when you can. Live the real reason to own a bike.

I’m 65 years old and I’ve loved bikes since I was 5 and I remember the first one pulling up along side of our car while we were on vacation in Lake Tahoe. I always knew, I was gonna be one of those guys that rode, BUT, not everyone is the same. Let’s not trash a guy for what he rides or how he rides or that he trailers his bike. Yeah, I wouldn’t call a guy that trailers his bike to Sturgis for that once a year ride a biker, but he’s doing what he likes to do. I’ve had every kind of bike, rigid and suspension, but it seems trendy right now to bad mouth anyone who doesn’t ride a rigid frame bike. Right now I own a Dyna and I love it. It’s fast and nibble and that’s the way I like to ride. My nephew and I ride and when I get home I feel so pumped because I feel like a cheated dead 100 times in 8 hours. Live and let ride people. Not everyone is the same

Hi 👋, IronHead Sally and Husband, very true, And most bike manufactures nowadays, or building bikes, that obviously are more efficient, which is fine for the ecosystem, but they’re so expensive, that normal bikers can’t afford to buy them, and you cannot do work on them, unless you are a top class mechanic, plus thousands of pounds worth of tools and spanners and equipment, I have ridden from the UK, over into European rallies over the years, and seen quite a lot of people have trailered their bikes, I cannot see the point of having a bike if you’re going to not ride it properly, and enjoy the experience, yes, it might be a long ride 1000 Miles, probably a couple of days ride, And I must say a loyal biker, I would say nine times out of 10. Have got loyal friends , ride safe, Phil from the moulin,

I appreciate the older bikes, but having something new also has its perks. Wrenching is not fun for me, and the less I have to do, the happier I am. I agree that you don't need half the crap they try to sell you to take trips with. My father-in-law was an old-school biker who would throw a bedroll on the bike and go for a week. I'm glad I learned what I could from him.

I couldn't agree with you more. I have often thought the same, trailering your bikes and then riding around and then calling themselves a biker. I call them posers. But to each their own, alot want convenience and creature comforts, cruise control, heated grips, and the list goes on. Also whats funny to watch on youtube the people riding up and down the main drag at Daytona or Sturgis like look at me knowing alot trailered their bikes. Now you have got me on a rant. 😂. I get where you two are coming from. I love your guys bikes and all has a story, whether sad or happy. But Thank you for what you do and love sharing your journey. Peace and Love.

Love your talk. Your absolutely right. Way to many posers around these days that are all about the way they look or have a particular bike as a fashion statement. I don't care what brand of bike someone rides if your out there enjoying the ride and in the moment, that's what it's about. I've had all sorts bikes over the years from Harleys to fast sports bikes to dirt bikes. I enjoy them all but at the moment my favorite is an all rounder 2001 Honda XR65OR is good on road and off road and that's what i use it for, i love it and it's all about getting out there and getting into it. Don't worry about what anyone thinks and you don't have to have the latest greatest gear either. Just get any old bike you like or can afford and ride and enjoy it.

Now there are 2 things that get under my skin is, 1 brand bashing I cannot see how someone who rode brand X for a few years just to afford brand y can loudly bash on brand X just because they are now on brand y. 2 Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda, is the most irritating phrase that I have ever or will ever hear. I have old man issues now and my main long distance bike is a bagger but I have a chopper and a bobber for around town. Their ages range from 1985 to 2020. 2 Yamahas and a Honda. 100% on the ticket! "Fuck your bagger" ... "Fuck the Joneses".... People who do things based on what others may think of them are failing at life. For the record I have an M8, it's my daily. It's fast and it's reliable but it lacks the character that our older bikes have.

I hear ya, common thots n feelings here man, ride um don't hide um, the posers should try putting more miles on their bikes instead of more soap n wax, HD dealerships/boutiques, can keep their fan clubs n groupies by selling um what's it fashion n telling um what they need n want, cuz the clueless will buy it, when all you really need to do is RIDE Sally Ride...... 🍻... cheers guys

Been enjoying your channel but the gatekeeping my way is right only i understand freedom and am a real biker Bs I ve been a hippie ass biker since 1970's yes change sucks and yes we had a blast personally I refuse to go to " Rallies" just plain stupid to me but thats me and yes that rich peeps play biker Is hilarious gone are the bonfire kegerz we enjoyed we create divisions in our culture by allowing politicians to control us FTW means we cant be bothered we need as Some say to Ride more politic less... Way less show the young people our way leads to fun instead of hate and show that real freedom is allowing everybody to decide who they are lest we invite others to dictate who we are and what freedoms we can or cannot have I still remember signs in business windows no shoes no shirt no service no hippies I was all of those things told frequently to get a haircut and get a job when I had a job these people tried to decide who I could be this convinced me I should be exactly as I waswe tell his kids now they can't do or be what they want I assure you they will become set in concrete and you will not dislodge them that's what freedom is

Thank you! I long for times like that, my generation just had too many rules and laws and “u should do this”, and its so easy to go to jail now lol thank you for ur comment! I love hearing stories from people that experienced that freedom 💚🇺🇸 all we can do, is keep doing our thing, as you said sums it up! Ride more, politic less 😁
