Cyberpunk was far more of a disappointment because of the pure hype surrounding it , but after all of the patches it’s decent I guess but still no where near what we were “promised” before it was launched

Rockstar is far ahead of any competition. The level of detail they put into GTA V and RDR2 is unfathomable

I don’t even know that GTA 5 was necessarily ahead of its time, (not to discredit the merits of GTA. The game was definitely in a league of its own for a while.) but rather that a lot of games have just stagnated and have refused to advance, or in the case of a Saints Row, devolved.

GTA V was ahead of it's time? It couldn't even catch up with GTA IV back then... It's not a bad game but with this instalment Rockstar went with slight evolution (although unfortunately also dropped some cool feature like euphoria engine) instead of revolution. Only graphics and scale improved really... Don't understand me wrong however, it's still a solid game regardless

It feels like gta 5 is released in 2023 and saints row in 2013😁

The only thing bad I have to say about gta 5 is I always hated hitting those concrete bushes 😂

I liked Saints Row. It wasn’t very good when compared to GTA or even their own older games but I choose to ignore everything and play it anyway and I had fun. If it wasn’t for the competition I think people would have a good time with it.

I couldn't play it, don't get me wrong, I know sr and gta are completely different types of games and I loved the older sr games, I wasn't even expecting it to be as good as them but I still got disappointed, it just felt like a soulless game to me, like it was made to please some stinky investors and not the actual players, the bugs also killed it for me, especially the bugs in character creation

No one can,t even touch Rockstar games in graphic They are absolute masterpieces

Even if GTA V made back in 2013 still it is better than new games which are launched since 2020. The physics and every details are insane and carefully made. Hope we see something extraordinary in GTA VI. Great job Rockstar the GOAT of the gaming industry

It’s still beta/alpha material, of course it doesn’t look that great or has deep details, but for a game at it’s stage, it looks really really good. It’s going to be released 2024/2025, so there is a lot of time left, to work at the graphics, lags etc

Missed opportunity with the night detail when you’re in the city light pollution prevents you from seeing stars but outside the city it’s more clear

9 years later and GTA5 still beats it! It set a standard and took gaming to incredible heights.

Like rockstar or not, Rockstar has amazing details. Gta5 is old but still amazes players to this current day. Same with Red dead redemption 2. I will compare all games to Rockstar Until a studio releases a product/ game that offers more details. It’s mind blowing how well Rockstar designed everything. It ages well and is still played by many. I had higher hopes for Cyberpunk, Saints Row and other titles but the final results were not up to par

The fact that rockstar made a game like GTA 5 that is gigantic and extremely detailed, which were on the PS3/360 is insane. Same for RDR2, that game looks a PS5/XSX game, which shows how good they are at their job if you give them time... though they're greedy.

What make rockstar a legend is the attention in detail, its unbelievable, they just work in every sector

There’s a reason why Saints Row was free for a whole month in 2023 for PS Plus users 😂😂😂 and it’s not hard to figure that reason out

Saint row are fit for people who love cartoonish art but still adding a realistic component, but GTA V is fit for people who loved the logistic and realistic gameplay. Everything has their own taste of the game

I laughed out loud when I first got hydrant flung in game a few weeks ago. Bringing laughter, even if it is goofy physics or bugs is all I need.

There is nobody who can hold up with Rockstar, they make sure that the game's feel real

Nobody can top Rockstar's Nostalgia for GTA5

This just makes me look forward to GTA6.

This is great for highlighting the amount of detail GTA put into their cars and things surrounding them but the focus of the saints row franchise at least from what I remember was never the vehicles, auto is literally in the name in GTA

GTA has a small office of 100 employees for every small effect and detail. SR has 100 for the entire game.

It remains to clarify the budget of each game. One is one of the most expensive in history and the other was made with less budget than the previous delivery that was in 2013.

This is how comparisons between Saints Row and GTA has always been, one is much more cartoonish and the other much more realistic. One doesn't really take real world physics, nuances and details into account and instead focuses on a more outlandish, over the top interaction with the world, whereas the other focuses on adding realistic physics and the smallest of details to make it feel real. for realism however, no sandbox game tops GTA IV.

Graphics got nothing to do with it. GTA has more class, attention to details not necessarily graphic power but the touch and the finesse. The game revolves into a culture that pleases any gamer, but the sophistication it has can be VERY immersive. Saint's Row is just casual. You don't play it to feel, its just a game. Fast food of fun, easy chaos galore.

I always found it funny that trees in GTA games are completely solid. It's like the one thing that's totally unrealistic lol

It's funny how a game from 2013 dominates a game from 2022. Still playing GTA to this day

They're like apples and oranges. Saints row has always had a cartoonist feel to their games. Which I loved and gta kept it more realistic which I loved. Every game has bugs so I get it. I will never compare the two. SR is GTA's little brother it may be annoying and irritating but it's in your family and you still love it anyway.

I think GTA excels in these smaller details, because you essentially play the game to mostly wreck shit up, destroy or drive around, and here the small details really make the game good. That being said, GTA often has an alright story and alright characters. But the new Saints Row, for me, from the very beginning felt like it never knew what it wanted to be. They tried to appeal to a larger community by changing the game to be more kid-friendly, while also wanting to keep the craziness and gangster-style to appeal to older fans. And it failed, you can't do both, cause the game will lose it's soul and become something stuck in the middle of nothingness.

GTA series is great from 3 to 5 (2001-2013) while gow needed a reboot cause it was bad and the witcher wasn't a huge saga before 3

@@dutchvanderliege2413 Are you really trying to say GTA V is better than GOW or Witcher 3? bruh no way GOW isn't even a reboot, it's just a sequel with reboot-like tendencies, mainly because the previous trilogy literally wrapped the entire story. It's hard to go anywhere when you already ended the story. They changed the idea with the 4th game not because the first 3 were bad, but to modernise it. Of course Witcher wasn't huge, cause CDPR started as a small studio. But I played all Witcher games and all 3 have better, way more relatable characters than any GTA. Don't get me wrong, GTA is a great series. But not even one of these games is better than Witcher 3 or GOW, especially when it comes to characters.

Saint row swimming is better than RDR2 and also crushes and destroying .. saints row texture is better than RDR2 and also fast travel and online

GTA5 is still around after almost a Decade for a reason. It just is that good.

I love Saints Row, the third was my favorite of them all but GTA has a special place in my heart. Memories over memories & the amount of things you can do is perfect after a long tiring day at work

se não me contassem que GTA 5 foi lançado em 2013, eu pensaria que foi lançado em 2022, a frente do tempo, os gráficos óbvio que estão envelhecendo com o tempo, porém o jogo tem detalhes que nenhum outro consegue replicar

The only thing that I don't like in GTA 5 is that Rockstar didn't do so much for the interiors unlike in GTA IV you can watch cinema, can be drunk on a bar, can drink coffee on restaurants

This is like comparing the first Brick phone with a IPhone 11 Pro

GTA5 had a million man hours put into it before Online was even a go. So yeah, if you're comparing any game to it and it's details, it doesn't mean much of anything at all.

Despite how the new Saints isn’t living to its expections there are a few details I did quite like here’s a list of a few things I actually enjoyed seeing. -When cars get crushed by a monster truck it actually squishes the car into a pancake and if you squish the front end or rear end without totaling the car, you can still drive it and it would function like a damaged car. -another thing is the V8 engine blower can actually get knocked off if you hit it hard enough although it doesn’t shut off the car which would make it a lot cooler if it did. -The night sky is actually beautiful and better than gta v’s because the moon is in actual size and gives off moonlight too and also the Milky Way galaxy actually shows up which is pretty cool and makes the game more vibrant and less dead. -The winch that you connect the wrecking ball with your car has weight and each car feels lighter or heavier depending on which vehicle you are pulling behind. -The Monster Truck, The Bulldozer, the semi truck, and other heavy machinery actually feels like it weighs tons and you can feel it when driving around corners or about to jump a hill. -the weapons have a better sound overall and the recoil feels pretty good too - Finally the car engines sound so good! Especially when I drive around my muscle cars I just love how realistic it sounds and what a true muscle car should sound like same thing goes for car horns, I love the semi truck horn Overall, Saints Row could’ve been up there alongside with gta, but it looks like it was still on beta and they decided to release it way too soon, but also they could’ve made a story that was meaningful with badass characters that look tuff not just some random scrawny people. They could’ve made a story that only consisted of the main boss only almost like MadMax the game, where he is pretty much a lone wolf and lost everything and could’ve made it very serious and sad.

Lol the motorbike makes the car fly and character is still on the bike 🤣🤣

GTA V is so Detailed game . Now imagine the GTA VI Details

Thanks for these comparisons, I think will save my 88 bucks now, the fact that the gaming mechanics of a 9 year old game outclassed saints row is beyond sad, on the other hand I cannot be more excited for gta 6 knowing the level of detail rockstar will add to try and out do themselves yet again
