my mom was a huge sade fan and I grew up listening to her music . this song was always a favorite . back in 2012 my mom passed from cancer and now that I listen to this song after some time it's like my mom is speaking to me through these lyrics . makes me cry each time . that's what's special about sade music you can interpret it anyway.

My boyfriend passed away this month October 3rd , this was our first song. I was 4 when I first heard this with my mom and dad in the car, and they were so madly in love then and I was happy. Now they have been separated for 12 years I'm 19 and my mother has kicked me out, became an alcoholic and cut me off. My father got married and left for another family. This song brings back so many happy childhood memories to me and I cant even connect it with how my life is now. It's so different now...

your mother is always with you in spirit. just close your eyes and she is by your side or holding your hand or hugging you nice and tightly. You will see her again one day so never lose hope or faith. I lost mine as well and buried her on Christmas Eve so I feel your pain.

This was one of the last two songs the love of my life texted to me before overdosing and dying 3 weeks ago. He was in sober living and doing well until he slipped and it only took once, and he's gone forever now. It took me until today to even listen to what song he had sent me. I am so heartbroken and lost without him. I truly hope he is still by my side as much as he can be, in the afterlife.

This song is for my son and I. At 4 years old he was diagnosed with leukemia. This is the hardest thing either one of us will ever have to do. This song reminds me of him because I have been by his side through everything and always will be. He is 6 now and doing great. He's in remission and is the strongest guy I know. My warrior. My hero. 🎗️
