Chorus:
If you're lost, you can look and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting
Time after time
If you're lost, you can look and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting (I will be waiting)
Time after time

This song will always remind me of my mother. I remember that I would stay up late at night hoping to catch this song on the radio to record it for weeks after hearing it in the movie theater. Then one day, getting us home from school, it was suddenly playing on my radio. I went running to my room to record it. When I got to the radio I saw there was a cassette tape playing inside. She bought the album for me as a surprise.

"Time After Time" by Cyndi Lauper is not just a song; it's a timeless journey that transcends generations. Today, as we celebrate its 40th anniversary, it's hard not to be moved by the enduring charm and emotional depth of this masterpiece. For someone who grew up in the 1990s, this song was more than just a melody from the past; it was a bridge to an era of heartfelt music. Listening to Cyndi's soulful voice, it felt like she was speaking directly to us, sharing a story of love and resilience that resonated deeply. Her unique style and genuine emotion in every note made "Time After Time" a comforting friend and a source of inspiration. It's a reminder of the power of music to connect, to heal, and to bring joy across time. Thank you, Cyndi Lauper, for gifting the world with this beautiful anthem that continues to touch hearts, decades later.
