I'll be checking in at least once a year.

My mum died of cancer awhile back and this was her favorite song it was played at her funeral. Every time I hear it I tear up. for years I didn't listen to it as it just caused me pain. Thank you dido for making my mother happy.

The most beautiful thing about these songs of our past is the comment section, where you read the comments of so many peoples from all around the world who are here again after all those years sharing their memories, experiences. It feels like you are surrounded by lots of friends who were going through phase of their life same as you some bitter or sweet that have been etched in our hearts and minds and now we all are reminiscing those memories, some crying some laughing but altogether. One thing is for sure that era was the best compared to today.

Way to make a guy jump back to Xmas '06 in Reno. I went through my divorce in 2007 and this was what was playing. We had a 3 year daughter and I was absolutely devastated. Her voice takes me back to those moments when I didn't think I could ever get through. My daughter left for college this week and she's thriving. We made it and Dido voice feels like my inner strength now talking to me. Pretty fucking awesome ; - )

Yes. I ended up as a single dad. My daughter finished uni and has a great life now and is happy. We can do it man, and once through the storm, life can be better than it ever was . Love of our child is above all else there is.

I miss my life as an early teen in the 00’s. Life was so much easier. Dido was the soundtrack of my life even if I didn’t understand all the feelings she expressed so beautifully through her music. Oh, I if I could only turn back time and choose different paths...coulda shoulda woulda, right?! 🤷🏻‍♂️ Anyway, Dido is incredible. I love her music. The better days are gone forever

No song has ever hit me like this one has. Even before I ever experienced how powerful love is, this song made me feel the pain of a breakup in the same way I'm experiencing it today. The lyrics encapsulate the internal struggle perfectly. Dido is a brilliant artist.

This song is... A beautiful work from dido, I always feel alive with this song.

Her voice just flows effortlessly. Great to hear a singer that doesn't scream her lungs out to get the message across. Never get tired of this song.

It's not Pop, it's a genre called Trip-hop. Look for Hooverphonic, Portishead and Massive Attack if you like this music.

Stil, this year 2024... Love song

This is the song that taught me it's okay to stay in love with someone even when you've moved on from them. It might be the most valuable lesson I've learned in my entire life. Call me a stupid sap, but I don't stop loving just because a relationship has ended. And I don't want to pretend otherwise. This song made that feeling okay. There's no way to truly express how important this song is.

I had a simular realisation once, only slightly different: I realized that my feelings towards somebody where not contingent upon their feelings for me. They may hate or thoroughly dislike me. It has no consequence at all at how I feel about them. This has also been one of the most liberating thoughts about my relation towards others I ever had.

@@malgorzataswiontkowska808 I would suggest it's rather the non-acceptance of heartbreak. As long as you don't give up being in love, the heart is still intact. Sure, the one sided love thing is a coping mechanism which you could call the denial stage of grief, but that's the thought anyway.

Dido was one of my mom's favorite artists. She would sing this song every time it played on the radio. Her birthday and death anniversary is next month so lately her favorite songs have been popping up again. I really miss her.

I'm a fan of all music, mostly metal now and days, but got damn her voice can not be denied it comes off so simple yet intriguing, mesmerizing and beautiful. Can't get enough.

What a selfless song. From the video, it looks like he’s still just as in love with her as she is, or at least wishes her well. Who knows? But at the end of the day, it is true that in some cases like this, two people who do deeply love each other shouldn’t be together for their own sakes. It may not have been infidelity or something terrible that tore them apart, but whatever it was can’t be forgotten and may not be able to be mended. Or they just weren’t a good match. So she pretends to move on despite how much she loves him and is very graceful about it to keep them both from getting hurt further. Love this.
