At minute 11:30 there you can see that the sabbath is starting at sunset on Friday night for 24 hours until Saturday sunset

Jesus came to earth as a human being and came from the lineage of Isaac in Israel. His coming was for His plan of salvation and to be an example/model for us through His works. Look what day do they observe the Sabbath - Saturday. They rest on Saturday and all the shops close on that holy Sabbath day.

The Sabbath is the seventh day, according to the Bible. It is a holy day because God sanctified the 7th day after creation. It is a day of worship first, then fellowship. This documentary mingles the Sabbath, Sunday worship, or any other day you "can" choose to rest for other reasons than worshipping. In doing so, this film does not explain the true Sabbath but an "ecumenical" day of rest that suits everyone.

God set aside and Sanctified the Seventh-day as Sabbath to the Lord. The 4th Commandment is not up for God’s creation to alter dissect or change.

Jesus attended Sabbath on a Saturday. God has set that day to meet with you. Imagine you attend Sabbath on a Sunday! You missed the meeting with God! Sabbath is not own your own time. It's God's time with you. Another part of celebrating the Sabbath is in Isaiah 58:13-14 which has been forgotten by most Christians. You cannot change God's Law to serve your own ideas of rest.

I think Jesus kept the Sabbath on the 7 day of the week on the Hebrew calendar. The time Jesus was on earth, the Julian calendar was in use by the Romans. Tke calendar that was use in the bible at that time was the Hebrew calendar. On the Hebrew calendar there is no names for the days, only numbers. Only the Sabbath day was called Sabbath day In the time of Jesus the Julian calendar had an 8 day week and Saturday was the 1st day of the week at that time. Constantine made a change in the Julian calendar in about 321 AD, he change the calendar to a 7 day week and Saturday became the the 7th day of the week. From here the Saturday Sabbath keepers will tell you that Rome change the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. This is history ,so go ans surge for it and you will find a lot more. You wil also find out that Jesus wasnt crusified on a Friday and arose on a Sunday. Study the difference between Hebrew and Julian/Gregorian calendars and you will see.

The Bible sabbath and he’s on Saturday not on Sunday

As a nurse who was a clinical trial nurse 🤔, I can share there has been " White papers" > done onnthe studies on how resting from regular life duties & cares of life > 1 day a week. So they tested everyday of the week with groups of people. Only the 7th day of the week proved great psychological & mental & physical benefits. Then they tested Why & exactly how this happens > the deeper you go into it the more profound. But apparently our cells only "reset" best on the 7th day. Just like a cell phone & computer. ( Now daily our cells also reset if in obedience to the Circadian Rythm daily body clock, but the 7th day rest > IS unique. Blessings ❤️. ( I was not on these many clinical trials but research alot of trials > because I have been on many.)

This whole thing about changing the Sabbath from the 7-Day to the first day stems from the Roman papacy misusing the scriptures in Matthew16:19. They falsely believe that Peter was the first pope and that they are God's true church here on Earth with the authority to change whatever they choose here on Earth. This event is prophesied in the scriptures. All you need to know is that God never changes. He Sanctified The Seventh-Day Sabbath and that's the way it will always remain. A true documentary on the Sabbath is the one with Hal Holbrook. This is mingling truth with error, like how satan told Eve that she would surely not die ... Which is what has lead to lie about going straight to heaven or hell after death , or hanging around some place to wait to be considered good enough to go to heaven, or being reincarnated into something else or someone else. Prophecy is truly being fulfilled right before our eyes.

There is nothing more egregious than to presume that man has the authority to change what God has created, sanctified and hollowed. Beginning with the Roman Catholic Church, this heiracy that a human counsel has the authority to change God's holy Sabbath day from the seventh day, to the first day of the work week. They have passed on this heiracy to the proffessed Protestant churches. These churches aren't actually Protestant at all, because they no longer protest against the heretical teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. The worst is Sun-day worship, because pagan Roman were sun worshippers who worshipped on Sun-day. They have made a common day holy and a holy day common. People go shopping on God's Sabbath, play football, watch TV and do their own pleasure doing other things on this holy day of worship. The seventh day is Saturday, not Sunday. The Bible is clear that the Sabbath is the day between Good Friday and the first day day (Sunday). It is the last day of the week, not the first day. There is no record of any such change in the Bible, including the five misinterpreted first day of the week scriptures. The Sabbath is not Sunday and people worship God in vain in that day.

Well it's understandable that we live in a society that requires more work ethics to provide for our families,and to some that requires working on the sabbath Saturday. Which causes confusion and crossroads of decision making. But here is where our faith rises in is to Trust in God our Creator of All , The Truth is if we Ask God for a Job that does not require us to work on the Sabbath then he will Provide . Ask And U Shall Receive.

I appreciate this documentary. After watching, it has served as a tool for insight in the minds and cultures of others who have embraced the concept of Sabbath or practice something similar to it. And even though some of the practices differ from my own, I was able to gain some understanding of the “WHY” and reasoning behind their respective practices. Thank you Journey Films team for the experience and opportunity to learn.

The number 7 is mentioned many times in the bible but often overlooked by Christian believers as irrelevant but to God the number as huge significance. Apart from being his favorite number it represents completeness. Mankind is prone to thinking he knows best but God in his wisdom placed a pause to signal the end of a weekly cycle so we would remember him. God placed a special blessing over the seventh day. He knew we would need a time-out so he comes to minister to our spiritual needs. To re-energizer us build us up to face the trials of a new week. The Sabbath is celebrated universally in heaven among the angelic hosts and the scattered the unfallen worlds

The sacredness and holy of the Sabbath, is the one that, God given to us at the end of the creations. Just as He spoke and everything appeared, so is the Sabbath for from God’s mouth He blessed Hallowed sanctified and rest on the 7th day, after HE finished His magical creations on Friday sunset and ended on sunset Saturday. If man for first time and the last time ever before the end, obeying our creator. Then He “God “will forgive our sins and heal our land.

Just so you know, the first Pope was PETER... St Peter, the Rock. I don't think it was Peter who changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. It happened much longer ago than that. In fact, Jewish Christians and gentile Christians were meeting together on Saturday AND Sunday for a long time. They met together on Sabbath but they also had a deep desire to praise Christ Jesus the Messiah on the First day of the week, since it is on the first day of the week that Christ rose from the dead. Still over time, Sunday started being referred to as the EIGHTH DAY, since it represents the coming Kingdom of G-d, the World to Come.

What about the Feast Sabbaths in the first and seventh months? Churches have said these were nailed to the cross, just like some say the seventh day was. Weren't the Sabbaths a perpetual sign between the believer and God?

Sabbaths are commanded to be 24-hour holy gatherings to cease from all worldly distractions to pray, praise, magnify, dance, celebrate, and usually feast unto YaH all day long. Sleep on mats, tents, etc. 10pm to 6am, and take 45 min breaks in between each 2 hour praise session. Seventh day, not first day, unless high Sabbaths.

@@cherriedawnbatyah he's partially right...maybe that's what his church does'.......but it is on the seventh day not the first day.....i think congregating with others in a church setting or even a home setting with like minded people is a good idea too.......i don't know about any specific times and praise sessions.... but i think once your with your group you will figure out a proper way of giving thinks to God on his holy sabbath..

So they are 24-hour holy gatherings to copy heaven on earth until the Glory of His Presence literally appears. The Sunday Sabbath, what an oxymoron, or either is Sunday, or is Saturday, this documentary is full of confusion. The Bible only talks about the sabbath, which is Saturday, the Bible do not teach to worship on the day of resurrection Sunday, by men changing one day to another for convenience and being this day so important in the Bible, in the 4th commandment, we need to be awake. Men cannot change times, and this is exactly what Daniel 7:25 tell us.

The problem with this video is it incorporates the biblical Sabbath ( sundown Friday through Sundown Saturday ) with the traditional keeping of Sunday worship. when half the pastors on here are talking about Sabbath rest and they are Baptist they mean Sunday and not the biblical Sabbath. The other half such as the Rabbi's and historians are talking about the biblical day of rest, so you don't get a clear distinction between the man-made day of rest ( Sunday ) and the Sabbath of Creation in the Ten Commandments. Unless you are educated on both days as to where, when, and how they came into being not having a distinction between the two can be very confusing and misleading to some people. The Pope and every Catholic in this video isn't talking about the biblical Sabbath, but the day that Rome sanctioned as the Sabbath ( Sunday ) most protestants don't understand that their traditional beliefs and Sunday worship originated through the Catholic Church and a pagan day that celebrated the worship of Heilios the Sun-God, hence the name for the first day of the week Sun-day which was established by Constantine the Great in 323 A.D. later adopted and bequeathed as a sacred traditional legacy to Christianity as a whole UNDER THE DISQUISE od keeping it as the Lords Day because he rose on the first day of the week. Revelation 12 predicted the flight of God's real church into the lonely and wild places of the earth to escape the beast power, that the dragon ( Satan ) used to persecute and stamp out the fullness of light in God's word, but as usual God's word doesn't fall void and he raised up Napoleon to fulfill Revelation 12 and bring her tyranny and the Pope's authority to an end. However, the Bible says that the wound would be healed, and in 1933 the Catholic Church made a pact with Mussolini to gain control back over Italy if they supported the Axis powers in the upcoming war, WWII. Now 80 years later the Pope and the Catholic church are back in full swing with their prominence of authority and influence over the Countries of the world, and even the United States honors and welcomes him as the Holy Father when he visits our country. I don't know about ya'll but my Bible the KJV says to call only one Father Holy, and that's my Father in Heaven. With everything the RCC has done throughout history in the persecution of Go'd people and the stamping out the truth of God's word as in Daniel 8, which says this power would think to change times and laws appointed by God, he would speak blasphemies against the most high ( forgiveness of sins, and being equal to God ) and he would cast the truth to the ground and he would prosper by doing it! Has the RCC prospered? She is the richest organization on the planet, Sunday worship, the eternal soul doctrine, and eternal hell doctrines are still taught in most churches to this very day and they all originated in Rome through pagan-inspired culture and philosophies. In Revelation 17 the great harlot, the whore of Babylon ( Babylon being false teachings and doctrines ) has harlot daughters these daughters are the protestant churches who still adhere to the False Babylonian doctrines that the RCC brought into Christianity. While I believe people from all churches and Christian Faiths will be saved, it is quite evident by history alone in correlation with the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation that the RCC is the beast power, the position and the authority of the Pope is Anti-Christ, and it will be the enforcement of Sunday worship upon the world through the union of the U.S. and Catholic Church that will be the Mark of the beast. However, the Biblical Sabbath denotes allegiance and loyalty to God as sovereign and supreme ruler, and creator. The choice is coming people, so get ready, you'll either accept Sunday/the mark or reject it, keep true to God's word and his Sabbath, and be sealed with the Holy Spirit as part of God's chosen people which is the Israel that is actually taught in the N.T.

I do wonder about the Sabbath because even though Jesus came not to abolish the Law, but to fulfill it with the new covenant, he never changed the Sabbath. He never said, "we will now have the Sabbath on Sunday - because of my Resurrection or Sunrise." It all points to being man-made and off track. There has never been a prophecy about it either - as far as I know.

Please read the entire chapter. It is about fasting…not about the sabbath. Moreover, if you read a bit further, you will see when we are specifically told to go to the synagogue on the sabbath so you can hear the Torah from the seat of Moses. Cherrypicking verses is just a bad as not reading your bible.

@@mrspleasants8529 The word "Synagogue" doesn't appear in the Holy Scriptures until the Psalms of (Maschil of Asaph), in it's plural form in Psalms 74:8 "Synagogues". This is well after the Psalm of Moses. So NO. Leviticus 23:3, 7, 8 does not tell anyone to Go To The Synagogue. This way you fulfill the Sabbath by doing No Sin. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matthew 11:28-29 5. JESUS CHRIST says, "Where two or three are gathered in my name he is there. So you Sabbath in Christ in that Holy Convocation. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Matthew 18:20 JESUS CHRIST is not the destruction of the Law and Prophets but the Fullfilment (The Purpose) of the Law and Prophets. This is talking about ceremonial Sabbaths and food offered to idols it is not talking about THE Sabbath day , you have to read the whole texts ,

We are to remember "THE" Sabbath day, not "A" Sabbath day. There is only one Sabbath day and that is Saturday, the seventh day. If you say "A" Sabbath day it could be any day. That is called manipulating the Scriptures to support what you believe, and not what God says.

No Jesus, no salvation. Repent and live, is written in Ezekiel 18. No ritual is worthy withouth Yehoshua among you. Isaiah 1:11-18. You still have time.

Sabbath has been enforced creation it wasn’t later that sabbath is very important im Adventist.

FALSE! FALSE!! & FALSE. Man made doctrine. Man changed the Bible Sabbath to Sunday sabbath. Who is that man or should I asked, what head of church made the changed? The Vatican. They changed the Sabbath Bible day (the 7th day - Saturday) to a man made non-Biblical day - Sunday. It’s not hidden; it is in plain sight. The Lord’s day is Sabbath (Saturday) He chose it! He rested on that day! He sanctified it! He wrote it even in stone! It was so important that He left it written in His Word! No, it was NOT for the Jews!!!! Adam & Eve we’re NOT Jewish. Pray for the truth. Read the truth. Believe in the truth. Walk in the truth. Be blessed in the truth.

There is no specific day for the Sabbath to be upheld. Paul the Apostle did say 'let us not fight or argue among ourselves about which day the sabbath is, or whether one man eats meat and the other does not...' referring to the vegatarian debates or the consuming of pork being unclean. These are all unnecessary debates Christians tend to argue about instead of just 'spending time with God whenever we have a minute or two to spare.' He's happy with that, seeing as our time is so limited. He's a jealous God, so stop watching Tv, social media and apps, Playstation or do anything else with your spare time. Rather spend it with Him, that is your Sabbath! If the Sabbath did have a specific day, then convict all medical personnel working in hospitals trying to keep patients alive who's shifts sometimes does not allow them to uphold the specific set Sabbath, or any other essential workers.

helping someone that is sick on the sabbath is probably not an issue is my guess.... but shopping for furniture and clothing, fixing your car, and painting your house on the sabbath can probably wait til another day...... and if God has specifically said do not eat what is unclean (such as pork , shrimp, crab , lobster,) then why would you think it doesn't matter if you eat it or not.... i've heard several times that paul's speeches are often confusing and hard to understand.....with that being said you probably misunderstood what he is referring to when talking about certain foods and perhaps even the sabbath.....

Hmm...then Paul is overwriting God's commandments. And Paul said, whom you obey becomes the servant of that person. Was Paul warning about himself?
