My husbands last name is Hosea . He was the most non judgmental kind loving humble , man . He taught me about God and the Bible . He was a true believer in Jesus Christ our lord. He had many struggles in life ,, but never gave up on his love for God . He was an army veteran. He loved our country. He sacrificed for us all. The lord took him home just a few months ago. He was in his early 50’s . This has devastated me . I’ve been praying for comfort to Jesus . Without knowing that my husband is now with our lord , feeling no more pain for eternity, I would not have any hope . One day I will be with Jesus and my husband. As I am a born again believer. What a great depiction of God's heart for His people. One time while I was driving truck in Pennsylvania almost 20 years ago I had an encounter with God's presence for 26 miles as I drove down the interstate. It was without a doubt the most significant event since my birth. I was in such awe that I could not even speak but the peace and endless love of His presence was far beyond anything I had ever experienced. I kept asking the Lord in my mind where the end of this love and peace is. In my spirit He kept telling me that there is no end. After that experience I can honestly say I know exactly what the verse means that says "Perfect love casts out all fear". Praise God for who He is and all He does for us unconditionally. This film shows the heart of God to us as Hosea loves Gomer with an endless love from God.

I must admit, at the start I wasn't sure about this movie. But I watched it to the end and was very touched by it. What a loving God we serve.

THIS was a great story and I would watch it again. I did cry towards the end because I wasn't expecting to hear/see that she was a prostitute but he continued to love her through it all.This was confirmation for me that God will wash my sins away. GOD LOVES US ALL 🙏

Shows no matter how far we stray from God he is forever waiting for us with love and an embrace for his children.

My eyes are drowning in tears 😭 I am so in awe of our Gods mercy and love, I have never ever read the book of Hosea but I will do so now! It is hard to imagine when we say that God loves us we are thinking about a love that man knows, but in God's Word we are told his love is a love that man doesn't know

He will take you back . God will never leave nor forsake us.

😞 This movie helped me see myself through the eyes of Gomer. I am no Hosea for I am not worthy, and I have not loved anyone unconditionally, not even myself. Lord, I am sorry for neglecting You for all these years, remembering You only when in need of help. Forgive my harlotry and ignorance. Let Your word in 2 Chronicles 7:14 be made manifest in my life, my family and my country for we have sinned, but on their behalves, I plead forgiveness. And let Your word in Psalms 91: 11&12 be our portion till our hairs turn grey. I pray this prayer like the thief in Luke 23:42... Speak to me like you spoke to him in Luke 23: 43. Thank You, Lord.

the story reminds me of my prodigal son...a dog of all dogs, drinking, cursing, blasphemizing, drug addiction, demon worshipper , ...left for dead 3 times but still alive....and I, the father...still love him, still pray for his salvation and healing, even though it's getting worse everyday.... after 10 long long years the tears still flow...waiting..."'...for a live dog is better then a dead lion...because there is hope.." My wife can not work or even go to church since she has to watch him 100% so he doesn't steal to get drugs or try to commit suicide again, my damaged wedding ring was stolen by him, we feed him, constantly show love to him and tell him that "I still love him".....and I work 2 jobs to pay the bills!

I stumbled on this movie, God knew i needed to see this...see Im the Hosea in this story and my husband is gomer...I pray and continue to ask God to continue to see us thru this...for now i pray over his side of the bed for him while he is at work. Please keep us in your prayers, God is faithful I know He will save my husband.

All of those punishments are for serious sins that lead to other terrible wicked sins. Look at Sodom and Gamorrah, for example many of the sins listed were lifestyles there…and those lifestyles led to murder and the inability for peace loving people to live there. It wasn’t safe! When people commit those sins it is a sign of the condition of their hearts. Hearts that hate the ways of God and love to live in self pleasing (although at the same time self destructive ways). God is merciful and long suffering but when men decide to live their own way and it becomes an evil lifestyle that hurts people around them, then God has to act.

Amen. God see what we can be with him. He Loves us the unique beautiful you. The person God created is like his own masterpiece or work of Art to God each one is so Loved and precious. I think God just wants us to come back to him as his wayward children returns he wraps his Holy spirit feathery wings of protection around us. Sometimes I could feel myself struggling and almost not believing God could Love me, because a lot of people sort of made me not feel good about myself, even family members. But finally it's like God help me to find great comfort in his Wonderful Love for me as my savior who promises to never leave us nor forsake us deuteronomy 31,6. And it's help me to even Love others more. Not what people say ,but what God says about us. Calls us his children his friends. No greater love has been than that one played down his life for his friends. Lord Jesus Christ Did that to save us. It's so amazing beautiful the love of God.

God's unconditional love... Unfathomable

This movie is such a blessing. The book of Hosea is probably the strongest example of the love of God towards us and shows us unconditional love. It is truly a wonderful treasure in the Old Testament. Not only that, but in Hosea it also tells of the end of days, and in those times all the fishes of the sea shall be taken away. I challenge everyone to do the research on the millions of fish that have been showing up dead all over the globe at times from 2011 to the present day. Things like this have never occurred in our recent history. We truly have arrived at the real end of days.

That was amazingly well-done. The guy who played Hosea was great. I believed every emotion he showed & every word he said. The story was deeply moving. I knew the basic story but this touched me so much with its powerful depiction of Hosea's love (and God's love). I was in tears several times during the film.

The last part of the book of Hosea, is not only does he buy back is wife despite her adulterous actions, but now Hosea has the perfect message for Israel and when he brings the message of love and forgiveness to the people, they repent and come back to the lord. Experience has the best way to give counsell and the best message out of trial and heart ache, Hosea gives them the perfect message of how the lord wants us back. Amazing love how can it be, that you lord would die for me.

Nobody can love us as God does!

16:08 - It's ok to be different. 19:05 - tough on the outside but inside you are really hurting. 26:00 - She is beyond our help. 27:49 - Ashley needs a huge dose of Unconditional Love. 44:05 - Sometimes it's hard to hear God when it's going well. 48:34 - When you make a Vow to the Lord you keep it. No matter what the circumstances are or the Situation. 53:00 - Your Sin will find you out.

The book of Hosea will never be just another story again. Thank you for portraying it so beautifully without missing the essence of the story. Wow!!! This is awesome. Thank you again!

In the Bible 📖 book of Hosea, Was God teaching Hosea that Hosea's lesson to us, who also live in troubled times, is that even when the gates of prayer🙏🏾 appear to be closed, the gates of forgiveness remain open? Hosea teaches us that it is our job to calm troubled waters and create a sense of national harmony. We all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. Sometimes it takes a Hosea or a movie about him to help us see ourselves. We now have the opportunity to change with God's help.

Very touchy book. Doesn’t get referenced a whole lot by evangelicals for obvious reasons. Nobody wants to be likened to a harlot or the simp that Hosea seems to be in this narrative.

To love someone after they betray you over and over is a Graceful Godly love 💘

"Even in His judgment, God loved His people. He wanted to give them every opportunity to come back to Him."

Good movie in that it was true the story in the Book of Hosea in the Bible. So thankful and grateful for The Love and forgiveness of Jesus.

This movie is so powerful "You shall not be for another. But I will be there for you always." Few things ever move me. But seeing this when I was a hell raising child, it made me pause and really rethink about God's love and what Jesus did for us at the cross.

We need better writers. Christian movies are not realistic and are boring. The hosea and gomer part were pretty good ,but the camping trip is really bad acting and storytelling. Let's let Christian writers have jobs

I'm a Hosea and I love a Gomar and the Lord has shown His love for us to me by sending me her. And, through this action He has saved both me and her. For, now I know that I, too, have been a harlot towards Jehovah; the Most High God! HalleluJah! I praise His holy name!

Hello, I am a Hosea too in love with a kind of Gomar. I can't give up on him. I love him and everytime he takes me back to God.. He shows me just how I have been a Gomar to God myself.. it's not easy... yet in our good Lord I trust always

I cried when Hosea still bought back Gomez for 15 pieces of silver. What magnitude of love! When all she was worth was 1piece or less. God your love is so overwhelming, it is indeed amazing.

The actress who played Gomer did an excellent job. She really conveyed the contempt she had for her own husband.

This is such an underrated story and an underrated movie. Love every second of this powerful film!

I just saw a fictional Christian movie called "Redeeming Love" that is based on the book of Hosea but set in the old west of the 1800's. One of the best movies I have ever seen. It has the same basic themes. Very much worth watching,beautiful scenery too.

God is so amazing! I cried so hard thinking about how much He loves me no matter what I've done. I pray that my children will return to His fold, but nothing could ever make me stop loving them ♥

Wow. This movie allowed for me to experience, and understand God's love in such a way that I haven't before. I am speechless. Our Heavenly Father loves us SO much. His love has no bounds. There are no expectations. His love is truly unconditional. His love is limitless. His love is eternal. He yearns for us. This spoke to me in so many ways. Honestly, I want to greatly appreciate the team for this movie. I had been a believer for quite some years and I had a relationship with God but I had not been faithful. This movie pointed out to me that I was like Gomer because both of us weren't faithful to God just like the Israelites. I cried, asked for mercy, repented of my unfaithfulness, and made a new commitment and dedication to God to follow Him and be faithful to Him. I am trying my best and I will continue to give my best to Him. Thank you so much for this movie, I really really appreciate it.

This part where Hosea bought Gomer back was so emotional for me. I've never seen the love of God in this light. So powerful, strong, unconditional and selfless. I cannot be grateful enough to God for loving me this much even when I'm so undeserving of it

This story so clearly relates to the love of God towards us rebellious sinners who have turned away yet He is always willing to take us back to a right relationship with him.

I have always loved the book of Hosea. And have felt like Gomer towards HIM when Backsliding. But with hot tears falling down my face and coming back to HIM. Leaving the things of this world that can't bring happiness. ❤YESHUA JESUS. "But GOD demonstrated HIS own love towards us in that while we were still sinners ; CHRIST died for us" Romans 5:8. The troubled young lady's attitude(overt self-care to buffer the neglect from her parents, coming off as self-centered) is just a coping mechanism to deal with rejection and feeling unloved. Sometimes bad attitude just needs understanding and personal care, not judgment and condemnation.

I can relate to both Ashley and Gomer (adultery aside, as I’ve been faithful to my husband). Emotionally neglected and practically invisible my whole life. Had a complete meltdown last year that has caused waves in both sides of our families, and now I feel so ashamedly “seen” it’s not even funny.
