S2 EP20 | OUTDOOR FOREST KITCHEN | BREAKFAST & SETTING ROOF BEAMS

Фильм және анимация

#outdoorkitchen #woodworking #timberframingbasics #selfreliance
In this diy video, we continue to construct the cabin in the woods in the Smoky Mountains using both modern and traditional hand tools but are starting another project of building an outdoor forest kitchen in preparation of better tasting food cooked over the grill and in the earthen oven. Myself, my daughter and niece have breakfast before setting the beams for the kitchen roof. It is coming along well and hope you follow us through the complete building videos to the final stage of the cabin, outdoor forest kitchen, basecamp and future barn on the homestead.

No need to apologize for allowing us to watch you and your family work and build your outpost. It's a pleasure just to be invited. I live in Japan, but that sausage at the beginning sure brought back memories of early Saturday morning on the Oregon farm. Peace.

Looking so good! Reminds me of the days my Dad and I worked together. In his later years he would sit and direct me when I would call him over to tell me how to do something. I give him credit for all my building abilities. Just wished we had had many more years together. I have worked with my daughter a lot. We built a greenhouse last summer. She has been working with tools and building since she was a little girl. She is 40 now. She can out do her 2 older brothers who weren't as interested in learning as she was. Love what you are doing. Thank you. MiChelle

its called a MMM (Muppet Mouth Mitten), military style mmm.. :D ...request: after you've completed the outdoor kitchen. add some zipped framed cloth mesh on all 3 sides (forest sides) of the kitchen.. easy to work around if you want to take e'm down during winter, unless you want to extend the 3 sides like a porch... Take care.. Be safe.. GOD BLESS.. (i don't see any lemonade going around) :D

Just a quick tip I learned from drilling 1000s of holes for mounting brackets always clear off all the sawdust before you pull the drill out of the hole It keeps it from falling back into the hole.
