I'm pretty honest about the fact that, as a kid learning to skate around the time Ryan was really blowing up, I hated on the dude all the time with my friends out of pure jealousy. Seemed like Ryan was living the sort of life we all dreamed and was close in age to us & for some reason that really bugged a lot of us. We were dumb kids and we had no real idea what the reality of the situation was. Now as an adult and having learned about the shit Ryan was put through and how he's pulled himself back up into a better place I have so much respect for the guy & to see him doing well is great.

It’s refreshing to hear a “child star” have nothing but grateful and humble memories about his childhood and his relationship with the role models around him. AND NOT HORRIFIC TESTIMONY OF BEING GROOMED AND DIDDLED. Skateboarding is built different. 🤘

I hope Ryan finds out that pretty much all of the haters are now fans. It was mob mentality to hate on him for no reason. He’s one of the best to ever ride a skateboard and a humble dude. Huge props to him for everything he’s done and everything that he’s going to do.

That’s what’s up ! I went to the YMCA skate park for my 10th birthday and Tony Hawk was there skating that blue vert ramp and he was boosting , he also gave us all autographs and skated with us for a lil , I remember it so vividly! Tony was so cool and humble, class act , he couldn’t of been more than 20 , rare breed ! At that time the skate park was a real treat, it was expensive, kids got it good these days! Hhahahah

Am I right that Jason seems totally put-off by the promos? Tony really sells them though, like he's stoked on the products and pre-read and practiced the script. Jason just sort of muddles through them. I seriously think it would be hilarious if Johnny Knoxville pranked him and gave him a promo on the RIF (Reading is Fundamental) program, with the joke being he could read them a little better and with enthusiasm. He's so funny though. It's just his way.

I quit skating in my prime due to addiction. Was one of the best skaters in my little podunk town. Used to be able to show up at any spot with any clique and fit right in. 20 years later it’s one of my biggest regrets. I have no connection to the scene anymore other than videos like this. Don’t sacrifice your passion for a cheap thrill. You may not miss it yet but when you can look back and see where it all went wrong trust me, you’ll wish you had chosen the board not the bottle.
