if you use it without the spray straw the nits a lot less splatter.

I use gas myself ...

I don't think so - I came into some money and bought a much better car with huge turbos on it and sold the project parts on to a track racer - I'm not aware if they continued on with the project. I certainly hope so.

or just soak it in a tote with water and degreaser over night. than scrub it then let it sit in evaporust overnight. thats what I always do.

any progress, I am curious because I'd love to supercharge my RX-8 one day and Pettit stopped making them years ago. I want more low to mid power as the top end is good enough for my uses since I don't autocross or track the car ;)

Kuro Murasaki not in the last couple of months. I’m taking a break at least until after Christmas - I’d like to carry on with the project but time is a factor at the moment :-/

What pulleys are you going to use? You may be able to get your needle bearings out with a bearing puller, Type in Inner Bearing Puller into Ebay, they are £30/40. You keep calling it a stupid project but it's just a project, and a cool one, they're all difficult! Keep going mate, Sub'd your channel!

juveda1 thanks dude I’ll have a look at that inner bearing puller! I managed to get hold of the crank pulley adapter from a (now discontinued) Pettit supercharger kit so I’m all sorted for that. Failing that I can buy a Ryan Rotary Performance pulley set which is the same as the Pettit kit but with an extra rib :) Money is getting in the way at the moment but there’ll be more progress soon.

I had a wee look - unfortunately because the needle bearings have a closed-end I can’t get a bearing puller “through” to get purchase on the back side. A press will be needed. A bearing puller would be fine for the snout though :)

Did you give up on the build? Im trying to do the same build have been running it to a few roadblocks with the pulley setup let me know if you have any pettit supercharger pulley kits for sale

I sold the build on I'm afraid - I managed to get a significant vehicle upgrade and the project just didnt make sense from a value perspectrive at that point. When I sold it on that included the Pettit pulley - you might want to ask Ryan @ Ryan Rotary Performance as they used to mill out upgraded pulleys etc. That was where I got my pulley (it was his last one), but he might have come across a blown build or two since and might have some spare parts?
