Rusty German Bayonet Restoration. Artifact from the battlefield

Rusty german bayonet restoration. I found this old rusty bayonet in the forest on the battlefield. This is a World War I German Bucher bayonet. The bayonet was made in 1915. Nearby I found the identification tag of a German soldier. I decided to restore the rusty bayonet and ID tag. I removed the rust and preserved the metal. I hope you liked my restoration.

Hello, what a good restoration job, on the bayonet and his identification badge of the German soldier. Is there any file or way to find out what happened to that soldier...? Greetings from Argentina.

@@ReXtorer I thought it could be known through the data on the identification plate, in the military archives of the German army, but well, I don't know if it will be that easy to find out. Thank you also for your response.

I would like to see you restoring a bayonet or something very beaten up and converting it to its out-from-the-factory state back in 1915. Nice job here again!

I help a search organization, so I know how it works. An identification tag without the remains of a soldier is meaningless. I found hundreds of identification tags in the trash. They were simply thrown away. Dozens of tags can be found at the headquarters of the regiment. Some tags were thrown away because the soldier was transferred to another unit and they were invalid.
