Russian World. Have you heard about it?

Фильм және анимация

Official ideology of Kremlin is called Russian Peace / Russian World and is basically used in Russian media to justify their invasion in Ukraine. Let make a brief introduction into this ideology so you could understand why and how it all started.
P.S. In this video I confused Solovyov with Kiselev, both are Russian propagandists who claim the same B/S in Russian media anyways.

German here: This concept of "Ruskie Mir" sounds familiar to me. Our Nazis also believed that the agrarian society is the only pure form of society and that the "German race" was connected to the land. They also believed that after the world was "cleansed" of all the undesirables and enemies, that we and the people "worthy" to exist could live in eternal peace under the dominance of the German people. That's fucking National Socialism. Nothing less. The "enemies" might be different ones, but the concept is the same.

I shall comment again under your valuable truth- I am Ukrainian, and yes we know the history. I have a problem with Western world that chose not to see what Putin was doing all these years. Ukraine had its problem with corruption, no question, no question. But what Putin was doing all these years, only blind could not see, yet most nations chose to be blind. The price is too high, the script is not even changed, the same script -only time and geography is different. Oh, plus nuclear threat.

I just finished reading Anna Reid's book Borderlands on the history of Ukraine, as i knew very little before the Russian invasion. I learnt from that book that the history of Ukraine has been a struggle to exist at all over many centuries and many invasions, supressions and occupations. What's happening now is sadly just the same old story for Ukrainians. But Vlad 'The Invader' Putin has unwittingly handed Ukrainians a chance to be more united and proud than ever before, in the culmination of a process that arguably started with the Orange Revolution, through Maidan, to now. In fact he's probably done more to create a strong and confident Ukraine than anyone else in history, which must torture him. A wonderful thought. Slava Ukraini, from the United Kingdom.

Good comment, and I also love the irony that this "special operation" has united Ukraine and most of Europe and the US so powerfully. Ukraine's impassioned resistance and Zelensky's clear, determined, principled and eloquent stand are a wake-up call to the world to remember how globally essential decent and caring values are. I agree, "Borderlands" is a great introduction to the 'brotherly love' Russia has for Ukraine. "Never again..."

Similar results for Finland. When I went to school over half a century ago, I only heard palatable things about USSR in the spirit of "friendship, co-operation, and mutual assistance". @@creativeandaliveat65 I expect Finland has had to play a very careful game over the postwar decades, with the angry bear next door. Putin has echoed Hitler in so many ways over the years - mythologising Russia's history and destiny, seeking to 'unite and protect' ethnic Russians in other countries, reclaiming supposed Russian territories that were lost, false flagging provocations from so-called belligerent neighbours, and even penning his own crackpot manifesto for Russian foreign policy. The comparisons are startling. I can quite see why the Finns have finally abandoned neutrality and sought security with NATO. And very welcome you are in my view.

I am 62-years old. I have seen the Cold War and the fall of the Soviet Union. I was active in Shortwave listening primarily in the 1980s and 1990s. I remember "Radio Peace and Progress" out of Soviet Ukraine (if I remember the location correctly). This description of "Russian World" brings many confusing pieces of the puzzle together. I was aware that the Soviet definition of peace was a world without borders and under Russian control. I remember that they and only they won WWII in their minds. Your Russian definition of Nazi makes sense and describes how they view others. They seem lost in the memories of their victory over Nazi Germany. Apparently, we lived too long in the hope that they changed their ways after the fall of the Soviet Union. But unfortunately, a tiger never loses its stripes after it is beaten down. Yes, not all of them are like this. But, there are enough of them to have a firm grip on the mindset. Thank you, I have subscribed.

The US citizenry are actively fielding hackers, soldiers, mercenaries, contractors and lone wolf operatives. I myself am working alongside a few individuals (Logisitical Analysis). I cant speak for everyone, but I know the overwhelming position is "Fuck Putin". And as for the "if you stand against Russia, you are Nazi". Literally only far right wingers believe that in the US. Thats factually accurate. Also worth noting; almost 100% of the US population HAS NEVER agreed with Russian policy/politics. Please understand, propaganda is effective, and your bias is seeping into the conversation. Starting in 1994 I have organized the first truck / trailer of humanitarian aid to a Christian organization in Dnepropetrovsk. Three more followed within the next two years Another truck / trailer load with 27 000 kg went to Chernigov and from my home parish in Canada, I was able to send a 40 ft high cube container with 10 075 kg to Odessa to the care of Caritas head quarter in Kyiv. I made many trips to Ukraine with a Van, always loaded to the top from Germany to L'viv, Uman, Kyiv Chernigov and continued to my next destination in Gomel. I have my airline ticket from Canada to Munich already and I am waiting for a chance to book my next fly. A car is waiting in Germany every year to take me to my 4 800 Km trip through Poland, stay overnight in a monastery in L'viv to continue to Uman, Kyiv, Chernigov, Gomel, Grodno and back via Warsaw and to Munich.

I was able to buy from the German Institute for Medical Mission for this amount brand new medicine at 10 to 15 % of normal retail value. 3 more trucks / trailer went to Moscow in 1996 to the care of Mayor General Prof. Dr. Nikolai Stoliarov and his Foundation. Sure thing. Here is the historical side of the topic. Rise of Muscovy as a state happened in times of Horde being in power above them. One of major aspects of power strengthening was Muscovian claims for Rus Church (Orthodox Kyiv metropole), they encouraged and welcomed metropolites (majorly of foreign origin) to set in Muscovy instead of ethnic Rus lands, basically where even factual status and spread of christianity was different, considering long tradition in Rus and late spreading in Muscovy. Major point, Muscovian "Rossia" got built as polythonim (political identification and linking), so that's not ethnic&cultural Rus (which never left south - Ukraine), just like Romania on Balkans isn't "land of Rome", for instance. P.S. Also Kyiv was rebuilt after 1240, it was just less big, but played huge regional role in 14/15 c., it's actual "fall" as a power was caused by two devastating sackings by 1419 and 1481 and decline of trade importance through its road by late medieval. After, in the middle of 16-th century, in times of Livonia War, it's fixed as average small city.

I hope Ukraine survives with her natural resources intact. In addition, I believe we in NATO owe it to Ukraine to help a lot to rebuild their country. Not only for them but for the world as well. And we (especially my USA) should help pick up the deficiency Russia causes in Ukraine. I personally feel we should donate our agricultural sod to rejuvenate the soil, but I would worry about exporting organisms both macro and micro that would cause more harm than good. My solution would be to import soil from Western Ukraine, and collect Red Wiggler composting worms and bring them also. They eat only dead material, and they produce rich soil without causing runoff of nutrients. In America, the soil they produce is called "black gold." black because of the richness of the soil, and gold because of the excellent growing capabilities of that soil. I'll bet those composting worms could eat that charred landscape and restore it! Slava Ukraini! 🇺🇲🌹 ❤️ 🇺🇦🌻

One of my favourite quotes. “ Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it”. May the God protect Ukraine.

When I was growing up, I watched "World at War" on PBS which documented World War II. I never figured out why, or how, the German population would/could go along with Hitler's 'nuttie-ness'. I saw the destruction and thought to myself, "wow, how could there be so much widespread destruction and have the German population go along with it?". Now, I am witnessing the same thing with the Russian population and have a tiny bit better understanding of how it works. You're told that you are the best (ala master race, etc.), but other cultures 'victimize' you through 'no fault of your own'. I feel sorry (sort of) for the Russian people for being so gullible. Your are entirely correct about their way of thinking. I am 1/2 Ukrainian my mother being from there and she talked about these same things. I do think “some” westerners get the true picture of this all but agree that many and probably the majority do not. And I can only believe that those in power in the west that capitulate to them and even defend rashkas actions must agree with their ideology. Countries that stall for time without sending aid or suggest Ukraine must give up some land to them to bring peace. Or those countries that in 2008 blocked Ukraine’s bid for NATO membership. In many ways NATO itself as an organization just doesn’t get it either. I wish for all our defenders to make it through this alive and borders restored to pre-2014. This is a very interesting topic. I am writing to you from Croatia, and in our environment there is one country that you have probably heard of, Serbia, which is politically and ideologically leaning towards Russia. Believe it or not, the term "srpski svet" is often used in Serbian public space, which means nothing but "Serbian world". Behind that are the same aspirations for the creation of a Greater Serbia, just as behind the notion of the "ruski mir" is the aspiration to create an even greater Russia. There is an important difference between Russian, Croatian and Serbian language. The Serbian political mainstream relies ideologically on Russia, but cannot play with words like Russians - because the word "mir" in Croatian and Serbian only means "peace", "mir" doesn't mean "world" in Croatian and Serbian language. "World" in Croatian is "svijet" / Serbian "svet". So try to guess, when they put the term “ruski mir” in their political context, do you know what term they use? "Mir" which means "peace" or "svet" which means "world"? They use term "srpski svet" - "Serbian world", not "srpski mir" . In this way, they actually expose the Russian context of the term "mir". Because the word "mir" doesn't have a double meaning in Croatian and Serbian, Serbs cannot hide their intentions by hiding their expansionism behind the word "peace", like Russians can.

The maine reasone of their warm relations with Russia is the same imperialist and chauvinist ideologi. Serbs like russians in East Europe feel themself like the strongest and maine nation on Balkans. So its a reason why ethnic crimes against civilians on Balkans made by serbs in 90s have the common roots withs russians crimes agains ukrainian like Holodomor in 1932 -1933, and last events in Bucha and other cities in Ukraine today. I did a bit of research into the topic of “what is Ukraine, what is Russia, and their histories”, and here are a few interesting historical facts: • The fortress of Kyiv was built in 840 AD. • The first time European chronicles mention Ukraine by name was in 1187. • Moscow was founded in 1272 by the Golden Horde Khan Mengu Timur. Before that, it was an uninhabited piece of forest. • For the next 4.5 centuries, the lands surrounding Moscow were called The Dutchy of Moscow, Moscovia, Moscovitica, etc. • During that time, the European maps labelled lands around Kyiv as “Kyiv Russia”/”Kyiv Rus”, and “Russia” was actually in the SW corner of modern Ukraine, roughly where Odesa is now located. • It was Czar Peter I who rebranded “Moscovia” into “Russia” in 1721, when, during his tour of Europe, he realised that a major rebranding of Moscow’s image would be beneficial. And the design of the tri-colour Russian flag was derived from the flag of Netherlands (because Peter I was highly impressed by the NL ship building skills). The above facts lead to the conclusion that Kyiv is the heart of Rus culture, religion and language, while what are called now “Russians” are actually “eastern Slavs, who got emotionally damaged by the Mongols, who started calling themselves ‘Russians’ just 301 years ago”. In other words, the picture that emerges is that of Russia being the "younger half-brother of Kyiv Rus with a chip on his shoulder", who was abused in childhood by Mongols, and since then has been emotionally insecure, prone to violent outbursts, and jealous of his older brother, to the point of wanting to eliminate him. Ukraine = inheritor of Kyiv Rus & its culture. Russia = inheritor of the Golden Horde, with its barbarity, savagery and authoritarianism - which makes Russia essentially “Golden Horde 2.0”.

Putin's BIG mistake was he listened to his ego not his brain, he should have asked the people of Ukraine what they wanted not just steam in thinking it was what they wanted. He has come unstuck with his assumptions, now thousands of people have died and even if they do take over Ukraine they will have bitten off more than they can chew. The Ukraine people will oppose Russian's wishes in every way they can which will end up costing Russia a fortune, having to police and suppress the population and get what they want. Really interesting, for me the ideology of Russian World really sounds like the early "völkische Bewegung" in Germany or the german-speaking Region which was one of the seeds for Nationalsozialismus in Germany. I already got those vibes in the first Lavrov Interview where he announced his allegations of ukrainian/american NBC Laboratorys where he said Bioweapons would be build to target "slavic" people. It's really the same rhetoric as seen in germany. Also after Putins speach regarding "national traitors" and "final solutions" we can be quite certain that russia is a openly facist regime, just without calling himself that.

And USA too. For how much is really resting on this war, all Western leaders have been huge cowards. The second Putin Invaded, the West should have kicked his teeth right down his throat. End of war. What they did was piss their pants and have meetings. I think the West is using this war to completely obliterate, politically and economically, Putin's Russia. We'll see. However, now that nearly the entire democratic world is against Russia, it's time to kick Putin's ass kinetically. He's only going to respond when he has a bloody face and his teeth are missing, while the West stands over him daring him to get up to see what a REAL ass kicking feels like. Also, it's almost incredible to think that the entire Russian population buys Putin's story, when they are blocked from nearly all outside social and news media. You would think that would raise a red flag in their heads.

Never though of the expression to mean "Russian Peace", always just thought of it as "Russian World". However, now that you said it, that makes sense. It's right there with "Pax Romana", except fewer roads and less order. Russia has always been an empire, but starting my life as a part of it, albeit being born in Ukraine, I never made the connection until now. Thank you. One more thought being an American now. Russian people talk about their feelings in detail that is generally foreign to westerners, especially western men. At least in USA, most men avoid talking about their feelings in order to avoid looking feminine. Please don't take me for a homophobe, I'm just trying to be a student of my experience. Usually the translations from Russian to English are simplified greatly so that whoever's talking doesn't seem "gay". Just an observation... You know, the pot calling the frying pan black, or whatever simile you'd like to chose. Russian men tend to relish describing their feelings often and in great detail. This is something that would be considered feminine here. PPS Yeah, there's a trend in Ukraine born of this war. Russians are no longer being referred to as Russians. There is of course "The Orcs", for the evil that they sow. However, those are the sadist common soldiers. Russians in general are being referred to as "Moskovites", which denotes the fact that the Moscow dutchy has appeared separately, and at a different time in history than Kiev.

The proximity of those two decrepit ideologies is very easy to understand. Putin comes from the KGB, he is a communist. Hitler was a national socialist. Both of them came from a socialist background. That is in essence a collectivist ideology. And therefore authoritarian because it stands against individualism. The reason why most people do not understand it, is because there are certain political movements who do not like having the basis of their ideology exposed. You can find out who those people are, because they tend to say things like communism is not real socialism, national socialism is not real socialism. And even say things like fascism is not real socialism. Fascio comes from the Italian for union (labor union). Musolini was the editor of a communist publication, but he saw that during the 1st WW the workers did not unite and rise up against capitalism, thus if one was to organize the workers against the evil capitalists, it would be better to do so along national lines.

@@oisnowy5368 I don't know if you are quite right. People pulling together to make things better for their people is a good thing Public schools, public police public firemen, public roads, etc. are all Socialism. If these things were privatized, the society would not be as productive . It seems like the countries that have a mix of public and private do the best. I don't think the Socialist thing is automatically connected with the dictator thing. They are kinda two separate things. Have a nice day.

My country, Finland, used to be an autonomous state that belonged to Russian Empire during 1809-1917 till the collapse of the empire. Some of us might have forgotten it a bit, but we have also experienced the "Russkiy Mir" during our history. We were really close to fall under their occupation twice during Winter War in 1939-1940 and Continuation War in 1941-1944. The dumbest ones. This is why Russians don’t care about losing so many. Nazis are happy to get rid of bad genes.
