Russia-Ukraine war: Capturing Kharkiv is not part of Moscow's current plan, says Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin says Moscow does not plan on capturing Ukraine's northeastern city of Kharkiv. The leader made clear during a press conference in China that the assault was aimed at counteracting Kyiv's shelling and creating a buffer zone to protect border regions. Dasha Chernyshova reports.

I wouldn't make that assumption. It could happen but capturing and holding a large city is a massive undertaking. Whether Russia has the capacity to do it is an open question.

@@williamtell5365 it isn't that hard even smaller countries have done it but requires rather stronger measure an conventional methods , is probably best not force Russia go that far, in the end Russia just want Ukraine to reform into something less anti-Russia but as long they not willing to negotiate, land grab is the only way to go.

To the pre-schoolers. In terms of a 100% binary analysis, there is no possibility for China to lose to Taiwan in the 21st century, just like how it's impossible for Russia to lose to Ukraine. I could have told you this even before 24 Feb 2022.

🤡.. Russia doesn't need dollars to do business with China or North Korea, India or Iran.. It has the resources to exchange for buying products.. Russia could literally send gold to North Korea in exchange for rockets.. Russia is almost self sufficient in terms of resources.. They only lack a few resources all of which can be sourced from China and/or India.. Dollar is totally irrelevant here...

@chengkraksmey. Russia actually negotiated with Ukraine not just for a ceasefire, but to end the war. The draft agreement was signed by Ukraine's chief negotiator. Of course, the world now know that Boris Johnson flew to Kyiv and killed the peace agreement. Whether there will be a ceasefire or not depends on the US empire, but it wants to make this another forever war. Most people don't know this: the US is paying for the running of Ukraine's government bureaucracy, its pension scheme, its military, etc. The US has got Ukraine by the balls.
Of course it isn't HIS PLAN, because UKRAINE'S DEBT MARGIN IS NOT SOMETHING RUSSIA WANTS TO TAKE ON... dur!! A country owes a lot! Why go there if they OWE ALOT? LEAVE THEM BE, OR FOREVER BEHOLDEN TO THEIR DEBT, DURH!! WHY TRY TO TAKE ON SUCH DEBT? IT'S BEYOND DUMB !
