The Ukraine & Russia crisis In simple terms for those that have no idea what is going on. -Ukraine used to be in an abusive relationship with Russia, feeding him, letting him use her car & giving him whatever he asked for until she built up the confidence to call it quits back in 1991 -Since then Ukraine has been working on herself, becoming a strong independent woman with help from friends like France, America, Poland etc. offering her support, loaning her money, & helping her find her way. -Ukraine has been enjoying being single for 30 years & looking forward to continuing to grow & create new friendships. -Now Russia being the toxic Ex that it is wants her back, and doesn’t want her meeting new people or creating any new relationships. -A couple of weeks ago Russia started sitting in the front of Ukraine’s house & when her friends ask him what was he doing there, he said “Oh nothing, just getting a little bit of exercise in, that’s all.” -After her friends told her that Russia was potentially getting ready to do something bad to her, he said “They’re lying, they just want you to be scared of me & that’s not what it is” -Yesterday Russia broke into Ukraine’s house, beating her up & “taking advantage” of her while on Livestream & double dog daring any of her friends to do something about it & if they do want the smoke, Russia got that thang on him.

It’s not to free ukrainian farmers but to stop ANOTHER NATO expansion and than deploying their military equipment at the border, at the porch, of Russia. NATO promised 1990mnot to expand one inch into the east but has since already accepted 14 countries in Eastern and Southeastern Europe into the alliance. And the Kremlin has complained of having been duped every step of the way. One have to understand the other side of the coin. Not only the stories of the mainstream media of a russian madman.

Don't say Russia wants to invade Ukraine "for no particular reason", as there of course are reasons, even though sinister, behind all of this. The main reason is that Russia lost so much allies when the Soviet Union fell apart. Putin now wants to take them back under Russians "protection" one way or the other. Russia wants desperately be a superpower it once was, but it doesn't seem to understand or at least accept that the ex-Soviet states want to be independent and a part of Europe.

Where I agree that there are a lot of reasons, I wholeheartedly disagree with your assertion of the "main reason". It seems likely to me that it's Crimea. Crimea is still recognized as Ukraine owned. This means that if Ukraine becomes a part of Nato, then Nato would be obligated to help Ukraine regain its control of the region. This is especially problematic for Russia because it puts the oil and natural gas resources surrounding crimea back in the hands of Ukraine. Between Crimea and the two other major natural gas reserves recently discovered in Ukraine, Russia biggest economic contributor (natural gas and oil) would be at severe risk from a much more European friendly country.
