@@nicksymmonds yeah, im not a great runner, but i find it easier to run 6 miles all at once than to run 1 mile six different times. running miles in intervals and with breaks is much more stress on your nervous system and requires much more energy. also, eating while you're burning so much energy is difficult for your body because your body is working overtime trying to simultaneously repair and energize your muscles with food that's sloshing around in your stomach still. digestion is supposed to take time.

If you’re fast enough you can knock out a 4 miler in a half an hour, like I can, then it means you get more rest. My fastest mile while doing the Goggins style challenge was 7:26 because I wasn’t pushing too hard I was just going to see how much of that I could do. I did this challenge last year for my 16th birthday. Really fun and miserable at the same time, especially since I didn’t plan on it beforehand and I did it all alone. I ran 1.1-1.3 every hour to hit a total of about 27 miles, every one being sub 8, which was my goal. Some highlights include seeing a bighorn sheep in the middle of the road in my suburban area (there’s a property with goats/sheep on that route), and seeing random teen pushing a car around with their friend on top. This year I think I’ll try 4 miles every 4 hour for 48 hours.
