Best song ever that really sends a message to people that talk to much. I hope you get the message from that song.
1:04 Here’s the part that y’all from Botchamania need to see.
My 11 year old daughter just asked me... " Mama have you ever had a friend that talked to much"? I had to play this for her. I think we have listened to it 20 times since lmao 🤣 😂 😆
Run DMC were so so so great. The self titled, King of Rock, and Raising Hell are all must have albums, really fantastic.
Back when rappers ACTUALLY RHYMED their verse. Nowadays they still boast about rhyming but their shit never actually rhymes.
This song is simply timeless. It applies to people every bit as much today (and no doubt forever) as in 1985. Plus, the message is catchy and the rap easily understood. Yeah, some of the terms may be dated, but enough of the message does come through to make out its meaning.

WORD,
I had and (still sometimes have) an issue with talking too much in most settings as a child. One time my pops got a RUN DMC’s greatest hits dvd box set and he had been watching their videos and putting me onto their music. It was dope. But this one day he brought me into his room and told me that when I was a toddler he met with them and gave them an idea for a song about his son (me). I was hype bc I had no idea what the song would sound like. He played me this song. I may have been upset when I was a kid. But in retrospect that’s one of the funniest things he’s ever done 🤣 he’s a huge reason I have the sense of humor I have now. I love my pops lol
One of my favorite Run-DMC songs. This was the jam back then

Talk show host line my fav!😅
I met these guys working local stage hand help at one of their concerts back in the 80's. Some really polite stand-up gentlemen. I was running one of the spotlights that night when the director came over the headset and said, "fight on the floor"! We were told if that ever occurred to immediately put the lights on the squabble. DMC stopped the whole show and asked the cops to please come remove the idiots. 😆 They said they weren't going to put up with that junk ruining the show for rest of the crowd. Always respected the guys for how they handled the situation. It's just so sad that Jam Master J is no longer with us. 🙁

This rap won't anyway.
My Mom used to always rap this to me when I was a kid. Big ups to being a small child in the 80's!
I just dedicated this song to my 12 year old stepson and put it on full blast volume for him. He said the song sucked to which my daughter replied "only because it describes you" He continuously talked throughout the entire song. I need a vacation.
Thats medicine for everybody on social media who posts more than once a week.

Same here. Still works for that with anyone that annoys me; especially relevant for when they talk too much.
Ngl I often think I could use a lesson in productive silence. I don't talk about people I don't know or places I haven't been, I don't front, but sometimes my mouth works for me and against me.
Word. Just Fun Life Up.
