RR7647A RHODESIA WAR OR DIPLOMACY?

(26 Nov 1976) RR7647A RHODESIA WAR OR DIPLOMACY?
The Rhodesian issue is now precariously balanced,
with the Geneva Conference deadlocked and
African guerrilla forces stepping up the war on
Rhodesia's borders. This report examines both
aspects, describes the life and views of a white
farmer on the frontier, and looks at how Rhodesia's
forces are preparing to meet the stronger guerrilla
challenge.

At 6:11 There are two questions asked. One being dubbed over the other. Is this an editing mix-up or some good old-fashioned journalistic lack of integrity? The answer seems to be for the more muffled question asking about an "increase in intensity of the conflict", not the clearer question on "does the population have much to fear...".

A fine man, a honest man.. Did not resort to apartheid. Wanted to include people from lower strata of society. Look at what Rhodesia was when it was handed over to Mugabe and look what mugabe has done now. Agreed Smith may have few faults but at least people were becoming developed. Today Zimbabwe is a failed state.

Certainly did not resort to democracy either after 1965 to judge by the voting system in Rhodesia

The phrase, "... lower strata of society", is one that tells the reader all that they need to know about your opinions about Black people.

So sad to see the number of likes or dislikes on this segment showing how most Zimbabweans are not interested in their history at all ,too busy with those things that have no educational values.
