Royal Kludge RK89 Review - Really Squeezing In That Number Pad

In this review we take a look at the Royal Kludge RK89. This mechanical keyboard continues Royal Kludge’s design philosophy of using unique compact layouts while delivering an experience close to a full-size keyboard. This board is essentially the same size as a ten-keyless but still retains a number pad which is pretty cool. For those looking at the smallest keyboard they can get their hands on but still want to keep a number pad then the RK89 is a great choice. This board also has great build quality, can be modded with aftermarket switches thanks to the hot-swappable PCB, and has a build-in usb hub.

The "85%" layout is not a common one so I was very interested in this keyboard. And I was having a hard time deciding between the rk89 and rk96, because the extra buttons on the rk96 are very nice. Ultimately the size is of the rk89 is a better fit in a backpack so that's good for my needs. Great video!
I have the RK89 and I am loving the whole experience, except for one thing - buying keycaps. I wanted to use the hot swappable keys feature and noticed how many useless keys I have piled up because I had to buy a full keycap set every time. No one's selling a keycap set that is just made for the RK89 layout. (TT^TT)
I love my RK84, but I'm waiting for a full 104 wireless 3 mode board to come out... these look like good candidates but they always lack something with the weird formats.
I will pick RK96 rather than RK89.

Please someone help. how to activate the numpad, I cannot find anything. doing FN+7 does not give me the numpad on rk89 but it says numlock
