Fitted my fuelx today. Thanks for such a clear set of instructions. Saved me loads of time. Look forward to the meteor exhaust! Cheers.
As always, excellent and informative video. Thank you for doing these.
Great, informative video as usual George keep up the great work 👍
A NICE WALK THROUGH on how to fit and the reasons for .
Thank you for the video. I can find many videos explaining me the way how the FUEL X works, the quality of it and how it has to be installed. What I have never found is a Dyno diagram, that shows me the advantage of the tuner. What I really would like to see is a Dyno diagram, that shows me a curve of the stock mapping and another curve modified with the FUEL X tuner. That would make sense. Regards from Austria and thanks again for the video.
Very useful, made the job easy. Thanks.
Thanks for such a clear explanation.
Thanks for a very informative video!
Such a beautiful garage
Maybe the Fuel X Lite, but choosing between multiple Mabs would just take away from the wonderful simplicity of the Royal Enfield
Interesting to see how this is, my euro 5 Himalayan seems jerky at lower rpm hopefully it will smooth that out
I’m so glad my 865 install was on a Euro 4. It was hard enough to find fooler plugs here in the States - Power Commander does not ship them with the PC any more and do not sell them. I found some for a Polaris ranger that worked. I wonder what the work around is for an O2 delete on a Euro 5?
Merci, trés explicite et pédagogique, bonne continuation.
Would love to see a video of you installing this on a Euro5 650.

Just an update, I recently installed mine, ez pz
I have a fuelx pro on my 22 adventure. More low end grunt. Smoother low rpm ops. Power seems a bit higher too. I am running at 6 or 7.
So after a couple of months, what's your verdict George? Does the unit make a noticeable difference in how the bike rides? An Australian guy with a youtube channel put one on his Classic 350 and didn't think it was worth the time and money, so I'm curious to know your views. Cheers
Hi thank you for your video, can you fit a tachometer to a Meteor 350 please, if you can would you do an in-depth video of how to do it?
Great video! Brief question, after installing the FuelX should we do a first 10-15 min run on the engine idling for the ECU to recognize the change? Or just do it and go for a ride?
I have a booster plug on Himalayan, also have fuelX installed. Should I disconnect the booster plug?
I got my 350 classic as my first bike and didn’t realize I would grow out of it so fast. I do like the bike but the part of America that I live in has too many hills for the bike. These hills range from 45-65mph and it really can’t handle them well. If the bike made like 5 more hp I think it would be awesome.

Why has no one cracked the ECU?
Very informative. Thanks for posting. Could you let me know how the Fuel X Lite would affect my 2022 Meteor 350. I don't really fancy the controller on the handlebars. You mentioned the engine sounding like it's on the wrong type of fuel when accelerating. Mine sounds "thrappy" when under load and it detracts from enjoying the ride. Many thanks. Keep up the good work.

If you don't want the switch on the bars, just go for the Fuel X LITE version
Hi, I’d be interested to know if, once fitted with a fuel x pro, would I need to let the engine idle for 10 to 15 minutes on tick over like with a power booster, or would I be able to ride straight away? Many thanks in advance 👍
where did you get your seat for the enfield from? and the luggage system behind?
How about fuel consumption with the piggy back, without, the meteor is very efficient around 1l to 30km. What is the effect of Fuel X?
Nice video! Tks! Here in Brazil we have 20% of alcohool in our gasoline. Do u think this product will work fine or need some ajust?
Neat video! Much appreciated. From the fact that it doesn't change the power output, does it change the bike's mileage? If so, by how much?
I hope s&s maje a 8ntake manifold carbonator and timing modular kit for royal Enfield 650
I have installed red rooster polestar pro exhaust in my meteor350, is it advisable to install fuel x pro in the bike?
Do I need to install a system like this one to my meteor 350 if I want to change the exhaust? Doesn't the ecu optimize the air fuel mixture with the sensors by itself? I'm asking because I don't know and I don't want to mess up my motorcycle. (P.D. I plan to change the muffler only, not the entire exhaust system)
We need one for EU5 bikes, you'll sell loads if they get it sorted

Hi They are already available for some euro5 models with more to come.
Does it help for a full system exhaust too! Is it necessary if one installs a full system free flow exhaust?
Closed loop area only?
Why did you remove the tank? Wasn't the oxygen sensor directly accessible?
Safe to assume FuleX Lite makes the bike run on something between 4-6 setting rquvivalent of FuelX Pro? Also how much BHP gains can one expect with Lite and Pro (assuming aftermarket airfilter and exhausts are added)
After installing do I need to idle the bike for 15 mins for ecu to recalibrate
I’ve got a 2022 classic reborn, ordered Fuelx pro But I believe they sent me the meteor version, any idea if it makes a difference ?
Haven't been able to find a longish-term review for this product yet. Has anybody used it for a couple of months? any difference? Or links to a video i can watch reviewing it please?
Wow! You think they made the wire harness long enough? :-)
SURELY USING 2 RESISTORS AS A VOLTAGE DIVIDER, WHICH TAKES THE O2 SENSOR OUTPUT AS INPUT will produce a different but varying output. is the map air sensor, also guarded. if not fooling the ecu that more air is going in will richen the mixture. neither of these will eliminate the need for a free breathing camshaft, but should allow the cam to have a better result. this would increase fuel consumption, so ideally be switchable. labeling the switch as hill mode and plains or power/economy. may help proper use. I know I would want one as there are some serious hills in the way of my trips with 100 miles of flat before another set of hills. i am saving up for a scram at the moment, with the idea that your cam a free flow air filter with a cold air inlet finaly a new header pipe to reduce it to 1 cat, 2 sounds a bit restrictive. perhaps a new can if it is not too loud. sorry about the length. roy
Very interesting, could have done with a white board and some diagrams on that first bit though to help any numpties like me! I think I understood!

Eh, I just bought a booster plug to help compensate for intake and 2-2 headers. Wish I'd known. I was very tempted to buy a Powertronic piggyback in case I get into a cam or high compression pistons some day and still have a bit of post-decisional regret about not springing for it. It would be great if TEC could adopt either Powertronic or Power Commander and offer maps for various common tunings.

The fact that there’s even ‘anti-tamper’ blows my mind
I have a question, i manage to gain about 8 hp and 10 nm of torque on my gt 650 using only mechanical upgrade (the engine still have 650cc of displacement) The fueling for now is 100% stock. It uses 95 octane fuel for now (because of our local policy, i can't buy the 92). The bike is running great but, it does feel a bit lean. The power delivery is not as smooth as factory setting, but it is still very enjoyable. When i close the throttle abruptly, it tends to pop badly. Will this be sufficient enough to put on my bike, at least to make it safer to ride with the mods that i have. Or should i better of buying the powertronic ?

Typical Indian, half knowledge
I haven’t found anyone that has also plugged in a Obd2 scanner, everyone just test rides. I want to see the short term fuel change with each setting. How about it.
Hello Sir, I liked this video and its helped me a lot to get an idea of how fuelx works as I also have Meteor 350, am from India and I also have a bajaj Dominar 400 with 35bhp and 35Nm torque so I feel the meteor is very under power in comparison however I like it bcoz of its smoothness, looks and the J series engine which is way smooth and its mileage as well. However, now a days I feel if my meteor can perform a little bit with more power so I would like to know if Powertronic ecu can help my bike to gain that power for my bike to make? I want a detailed video on this with the difference in speed. Sir if you could do it for me and my Group it will be very much helpful for us to understand.

Hey Buddy, so there is basically no power gain from it, i tried it with my mechanic. It just helps to make the bike more smoother and refined. Also if you like to take it on trips, Ladakh is the most famous for us Indians, then it helps the engine to adapt better to altitude gains. If you want increase the power output then you’ll have to look at hardware changes for it. Easiest ones will be better air filters and maybe even a slightly bigger intake plates. If you wish to increase further then maybe you can decide to bore the engine and increase compression. Hope that helps

The video seems to imply that the Fuel X enrichens the fuel-air mixture at low rpm like the Booster Plug did for pre-Euro 5 engines. The effect would be to improve the off-idle throttle response, i.e. remove the jerkiness at low rpm.
I'd like to know what the difference is between the booster plug and the fuelX? They are about the same price but it seems like the FuelX is more powerful and/or capable.

which one is better ? , lite or pro ?
@TECBikeParts
2 жыл бұрын
basically both do the same job, but you can fine tune the Pro if you like messing about.
The J series bikes need a little more power in my opinion... A modern Vespa GTS 300 has a dry weight of 158kg and has a power output of 23.8 bhp / 26Nm from its liquid cooled shorter stroked engine.. The meteor has a dry weight of around 181kg with 20.2 bhp,, It is just too underpowered for european highways.. A 411 scram with the camshaft upgrade and around 28 bhp is good though ..
My Euro5 interceptor randomly cuts out on idle, or sometimes when pulling away. They haven't managed to sort it under warranted. Would fitting one of these solve this? And is it legal? And will it void my (admittedly pointless) warranted?

There seems to be some misunderstanding here. Booster plugs makes the main map richer, and Fuelx only affects the closed loop based on the feedback from O2 sensor. People seem to be ignorant of this matter. So most of the time the FuelX would not affect the riding at all, as majority of it is in open loop.
@georgemilburn6213

Correct, this is why I say that the boosterplug is a better option for Euro 4 bikes. But you cannot use a boosterplug on Euro 5 bikes as that has been blocked by the ECU . Fuel X is the only current option for Euro 5 bikes apart from a full ECU remap.
I have a 2022 Interceptor 650 and the bike is suffering from a lot of stuttering and stalling. On a long road trip recently after several hours of riding the bike became pretty much un ride-able right as I was making it into the beautiful valleys of Yosemite national park (California USA). @georgemilburn6213

Hi, The lite unit has to have power as it is taken from the feed to the O2 sensor. If this feed was broken the MIL fault light would come on. The whole point of the Lite version is that it is plug and play- fit and forget. If you want lights and selectable modes go for the more expensive pro version.
