Ross Chastain's 2022 Martinsville Video Game Wall Ride - Live Reaction Compilation
Спорт
On a whim I decided to do this video. This is every single Live Reaction that I could find to Ross Chastain's wall ride "video game move" in the 2022 Xfinity 500 at Martinsville.
There are a lot of these so I hope you all enjoy them.

*Correction:* I have been notified by Clabel that the reactions on his video at 5:40 are actually not in the "Malding Denny Hamlin Fans" category. The DQing assumption was actually a responce to a penalty to Ross Chastain received for the events at the end of the Indianapolis road course race earlier that year, not in responce to people cheering for Hamlin upset on how Chastain beat him at Martinsville. I apologize to Clabel for the misassumption on my part.

@@RyTrapp0Many years ago in San Diego during their annual firework show at the bay, there was a glitch that cased every firework - on all three barges scattered around the bay - to go off at once. Look it up - it's called the Big Bay Boom. There were people afterwards who were complaining that it was over in thirty seconds instead of the 20 minute firework show they were there to see. Just no appreciation that while it wasn't what they expected, it was still a once in a lifetime thing. Sadly I had moved away from San Diego the year before so I missed it in person, but god damn, I'm jealous I missed it.
There is a reason why Chastain is considered chaotic good. Every time he shows up, he either fades into everyone else or is the reason history could be in the making. The next face of Nascar guaranteed.
How sad do you have to be to see literally the coolest NASCAR move in two decades, and your first thought is "They're gonna penalize him, right?"

@@MommyKhaos so you are saying if you are in first you will risk crashing and losing it all just to try and keep it? why do so many drivers call this a "hail marry" move? you dont do this unless EVERYTHING is on the line not for a single race win. plus as so many have said this wont work at most of the tracks. some you are already going that speed, some the banking will dump you off inside instead of down the strait away (has already been tested and the champion race will do that). another reason they call it a once in a lifetime move.

To be fair to NASCAR, they've always done a great job of getting the most out of these kinds of unscripted spectacular moments. I like how some people get super pissed off about something that has never happened before. I don't watch Nascar but if I lost to someone doing something in like Esports or something. That would just be a GG from me. That was awesome. :D

If you seen initial D, we'll you can see this is the opposite of the gutter move takumi did
Here's my story about this event. I was wanting Chastain to make it to the final four. But when he started his wall ride and he put it up against the wall I thought he had a flat tire or his tire blown and he had no choice but to go into the wall. And the one I thought he won't go that fast around the wall anyway if his tire was down. But when he was flying around that wall I knew that something wasn't right. The very next day after this race I end up saying replay after replay of this this was so incredible
Honestly, like him or hate him. That move was sick! It was a modern day "pass in the grass". It was utterly reckless, but pulled off with perfection and probably wild amount of luck. Crazy cool, it wasnt illegal, but now it is. People will talk about Chastains wall ride at Martinsville forever. Its never a war crime, the first time 🤣

i think my favorite part about all this is how EVERYONE calls it a "Video Game Move" XD
Everyone saying he should be DQed clearly has no idea about precedent. Situations like this don’t call for a DQ, they call for a new rule. Ex: Harvick’s bendy roof at Atlanta a few years ago, NASCAR didn’t like what he did but didn’t have a rule against it so he kept the win but NASCAR made a rule against it once they found out what they did. Edit: except Clabel, he had some solid reasoning
If I remember right, even Hamlin said it was "genious".
This was so hilarious. I can only imagine how our group felt since 2/3rds of our old racing group dislikes Hamlin. XD
These videos are excellent truly an all timer.
hamil screaming no, cracks me up
This is what happens when one person pays attention in school (and plays GTA instead of doing homework). Also, for the Salty Ham fan's, this is a 100% legal move per the rule book and even the officials stated that no rules were broken - just that no one had ever pulled it off before. "I'm not going to tolerate this! NASCAR DO SOMETHING!" (holds out cup for salty tears) Love it how people say its a video game move when its simple physics .
That's how legends are made... Think Dale Sr passing in the grass at multiple locations to include road courses, etc. Good stuff!
