Rory Gallagher remains my number one artist of all time re blues influences , his love of blues and his Irish influences made him what he was 👍 and his great talent , just like SRV with his Texas influences made him the guitarist that he became albeit in a different way , but the love of the blues remains. Each had great musicians behind them 👍 hope it makes sense

Hi Alan! I hope you get to feeling better soon. First, Rory's whammy bar broke long before this and he learned multiple tricks to create similar sounds. Next, try one of Rory's album numbers, specifically "I'm Not Awake Yet". Gorgeous tune. Then there's his later stuff, like "Loanshark Blues", "Empire State Express" or "Ghost Blues". Then there's always his acoustic skills on things like "Barley and Grape Rag" or "Wheels Within Wheels" for starters. Thank you for showcasing Rory. This week marks the 27th year since he left us.

He broke his whammy 😊 that just seems so like him ? and then to produce the feel and sounds he did is just pure love he had for his craft . I make notes of every song I’m sent and for as long as I’m around , I will be meandering through the Rory discography. . I will get to the festival also as I genuinely love watching and listening to him and the brilliant musicians in the band 😊

"Tattoo'd Lady" and "Cradle Rock" from the "Tattoo" album illustrate just how comfortable Gallagher is with as a blues rocker. This man doesn't have a bad album, He's a Top Blues, Rock and even a Delta/folk musician. Better still is the acoustic slide intro to "Who's that Comin'" that effortlessly and discretely eases its way into a Chicago styled, mid-tempo, electric attack. "A Million Miles Away" pushes the envelope even further with a slow, greasy swamp groove against which Gallagher picks clipped, staccato notes over a well-oiled rhythm section. The power love and joy of his playing is missed by us all. Thank you, Alan, for all your hard work bringing these gems to your fans that don't see them on other channels. "Calling Card", "Duce", "Irish Tour '74, "Rory Gallagher" along with the above mentioned "Tattoo" are a must listen too. Alan, you have the music in you, my friend!

Hello my friend, u can also check his live of this one in Madrid 75' You know, watching and listening to his magic, i sometimes say to my self , i wish i was older enough to have been able to watch him! He came to Greece in 1982, i was 4 at that time!!! He played in a football stadium , 30000 inside , another 10000 outside trying to get inside lol. Riots with the police outside, which made them crash the concert and send everyone out since the safety measures around the band were nowhere. So the concert came to an unexpected end.. Rory stated afterwards, that he didnt want to die in a football stadium without knowing why lol keep up the legacy, i like watching your Rory vids! Cheers
