Room tour of a gremlin with ADHD

Ойын-сауық

Editing was pretty simple today because I was feeling a bit sick and burnt out, pardon the below average slideshoW-
HELLO axoaxots, today we feast upon trash-
WELCOME to the room tour, we have a bedroom, we have a bathroom, we have this mess of a hell, we got alcohol, we got health hazards, we got limited edition Chinese new year pepsi, we got it aLL
I remember when my psychiatrist asked if I was a messy kid when I went to him for an ADHD diagnosis, and my mum was like 'yea kinda' because we forgot all about these photos, only to later realise that I was living like a goblin that was allergic to cleanliness. Why live in a neat room when you can play where's Waldo with every single bedroom item at every given moment amiright
also fun fact at the start of the video I was convinced there was a spooky ghost watching me, but if I kept talking then maybe I could confuse it and it would leave me alone
let me know if you also had a messy room or if you were a neat tidy kid, and if that's the case what's it like being the gifted burnout kid hA (I say as I get buried alive in trash)

honestly, as a 20 yr old uni student with ADHD who also cannot keep a cleanroom/space, it's nice to know I'm not the only one who struggles with this. I grew up with a neat freak father and after 10 years of him screaming at me until I cried to keep my room clean and him not understanding WHY I just couldn't keep it consistently clean (even though I had been diagnosed at age 6 and he knows I have ADHD), he just gave up yelling at me about it and just accepted that I need chaos to function. But he still gives me a side-eye/glare whenever he enters my room.

My doctors want me to be tested for ADHD but as of right now, I have no diagnosis, so I'll speak as if I don't have ADHD, since currently it is unknown, but watching Faline made me realise that I'm extremely similar to her, like, Even in her diamond painting video, I realised it, the fact that she can't do one thing for extended periods of time unless she is completely immersed in it, is something that I relate to, the messiness is also something I relate to, although, I'm ashamed to say I'm messier than Faline, not because I don't want to be clean, I have a lot of health anxiety so I actually want things to be clean, but I'll put something like an empty bottle on a table on or the window sill and then completely forget about it's existance and then my mum yells at me for being messy ;-;. There are many other things I can relate to Faline about but I'm writing this is 00:23am and my mum will kill me if I'm awake any longer so I'll leave it until I eventually find this video again and see the comment that I will most likely forget about.

Now that i'm a working adult and living by my own, my room is clean and tidy most of the time. I have spare time to clean up, and obviously i enjoy getting paid. So, don't worry too much, as long as you try little by little developing good habit of tidying up your mess soon after you made it, then surely you will be better at it. Good luck.

ANYWAY, I talk to my mom now and she said she's sad it took her so long to realize that if she body doubled with me (cleaned with me) I would actually focus long enough to get things done. She started when I was in my late teens/early twenties and it was so much easier when I lived with her still.

I was only diagnosed with ADHD in 2019 (I'm 24), but gd damn, looking at these photos, I would like to congratulate you on being the cleanest ADHD kid I've ever seen. Also I still have designated piles of clothes because a hamper, a bucket, four baskets, and a closet are all too hard.
