No joke, once my mom called and asked me how to take a picture on iphone and send it to me for printing. It took me 15 mins to patiently explain it while she took notes. 1hr later all I got was an sms with the word ''picture''... I cried for the 1st time in 6 yrs.

It's not about age.. My father is 60 and he would kick most people's asses on fixing computer issues, bar maybe an IT professional.. The issue is with all the cunts who spent the entirety of the 80's, 90's and 00's ignoring computers at every opportunity, either hoping they'd go away, or branding them as something only the geeks needed to know about.. Now those stupid fuckfaces need to use a computer to do almost everything in life, and they barely know their Shift from their Caps Lock, let alone navigating a basic webpage or file system.. Admittedly though, it keeps Business Development Managers like me in the IT industry employed, because there's not one, not two, but literally three generations of fuckface cunts who thought they were too cool to use a computer during the early years, and now anything more complex than double clicking on Google Chrome makes their miniscule brains melt out their ears..

My mom doesnt know how to use the computer that well except when buying jewelry for some reason. But she did know how to raise 5 kids and move to another country and work full time while going to school without so much as a complaint. And in our earlier life she was a city girl who moved to a farm and learned to milk cows, grow vegetables, wash clothes by hand every night, and fill up a bathing house for us, without so much as a complaint. I dont think I could raise even one child half as well. I cant even pick up a baby confidently. Parents are amazing. And their handwriting is beautiful.

Shit this is so true especially the last part "she wasnt even right next to her computer". My dad keeps asking me about these things that he finds annoying his phone with his phone but whenever he does so he never has it on him because it is being charged in his room. He would try to describe the problem in incorrect terms and if i could tell him how to fix it, he would listen very carefully as if he was memorizing it. And the next day, he would ask me about the same thing again, and still without bringing me his phone. Turns out its just old people being old.

That part about him talking about torrents, knowing which stuff to click & viruses. He was so spot on with that. Back in the mid 2000s, I had to basically self-study how torrents work in computer cafes & even got computers infected just to figure out which damn button to click to start downloading. Now after years of constant exposure & luckily only having infected so little PCs with viruses, I can confirm that you don't just simply explain to anyone how to torrent right.

This guy is great.. The way he delivers the joke, and also talks about real daily stuff with a hilarious twist is legendary, like how to explain to your mother what link to click, you just know.. and it's so true... you do know what ones to click and don't click.. but the "years of corporate abuse" at the end was next level genius spin for comedic yet truthful honesty at the same time. The joke about the mother being a virus herself, whatever she cilcks on.. is a virus is so true to so many levels of my frustration.. Trying to explain to my mother how to attach something to her email, what to click and not click, yet every week her computer is somehow loaded with spamware, and virus's... It's like the moment she touches that mouse virus's just pop up on their own.

I’m Japanese but Jesus Christ I can soooo relate on the technologically illiterate Asian parents. I had to spend 20 minutes explaining to my mother the concept of what internet scam and spam emails are. She legitimately believed that someone was in grave danger and needed money immediately and required her bank account information. The whole conversation started when she asked me to proofread her English in the scam email she was replying to. I’m so glad I was able to explain to her in time.
