Ive been a long time fan of the faces, and although I always wondered Why Ronnie didn't sing more because he had such a sweet voice, I never really looked into him more. Well My world fell apart this week, and I went onto KZread for the first time in a while. This was the first song that came up for some reason. I've listened to it at least 30 times in the last few days, and downloaded absolutely everything I can find of his. I've fallen in love with his music and person hard and fast.

so so wonderful! Sorry but Mumford and Sons, the Avetts etc..could never pull it off like Ronnie Lane! What a one off ! So so genuine he was & so so ahead of his time! I miss ya Plonk! Marriott, Plonk & Rory Gallagher - to me 3 of the most genuine rock MUSICIANS ever! We will never see their caliber again ... To me these guys were never about the image - and always about the music & the spirit that moved them....miss 'em more & more .. sigh

Ronnie was so talented the man was a musical genius the backbone of the small faces and the faces think he made a big mistake leaving the faces financially but he was on a different direction from the others it was not the money he only cared about the music always looks so happy when performing RIP.Ronnie 🎼🎼🎶🎶🎵🎵🎸🎸🎸🎸

I have been going through a bit of a rough patch today, a little sad. But, watching this video and watching Ronnie Lane and his band have so much genuine pleasure and joy in performing his music made me feel so much better, relieved that those feelings are are still so easy to come by when you need it. This might have been the first time I immediately broke out into tears upon hearing music (or at least one of the few). Ronnie Lane was truly a special person and it's such a tragedy that he isn't with us anymore. I wish he was around so I could thank him!

Live music. You can hear this not 100% perfect. Ronnie's voice was never perfect: he couldn't get to some notes but that did not matter. His music was magical. Talented man. In his band was Gallagher and Lyle: two great Scottish musicians who shared the music.

Only saw him live, unfortunately, once , at the A.R.M.S. concert at the Cow Palace. He came out pale as death and sang "Good Night, Irene",one of the most affecting performances to cap off a magical night and not a dry eye in the house. All the great ones gave it up for Ronnie, someone offered me 50 bucks to use my binoculars when Page, Beck, and Clapton were on stage together (A Little Help from my Friends with Joe Cocker/Layla) I refused.

100% he got ripped of as the small faces did. It's strange because to write songs like he did he must off seen the people ripping him off. I was at the Marriott memorial and the lane memorial concerts. I didn't hear anyone say thanks for the money. The Small Faces revivals in the Ruskin Arms were fantastic so there. Why has no body told Rod Stewart that you don't go out with a bird taller than yourself. I've got a feeling she might have a few quid. What is the point of having money if you don't spend it big nose. Not all jocks are the same thank god. I would of loved to go out with Jockey Wilson on an all expenses cruise around the the Med for a couple off weeks. I hope I wouldn't get so drunk that I would pull a bird 2 foot taller than me but what the hell at least she won't borrow your shoes. On the other side off the coin it must be great to have 50 million in the bank coz you ripped your mates off. I'm going to bed.
