Ronnie was such a down to earth kind of guy with a twinkle in is eye, everyone loved him fans and fellow musicians, was very sad the way it went for him but he bore it with a smile, truly miss you Ronnie and wish I’d met you in life cos you were my kind of person.

Ronnie Lane wasn’t messing around he was the Real Deal and this Band was Great, What a great mix, I don’t think Ian Stewart would have got up for just anyone, but I’m sure he Loved what Ronnie was doing, the music is what it’s all about and when I listen to this it’s got so many Influences going on, It’s got that old school London thing going on but also a New Orleans thing as well in places just Great Stuff.. This Music Like Ronnie is sorely missed ❤️❤️❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌞🌞🌞

If you can, watch and listen to Ronnie Lane, the heart of “The Faces” which included Ron Wood on guitar, Rod Stewart, Vocals, Kenny Jones, Drums, plus a piano player, I think his name is Ron!! Ronnie Lane died of M.S. and was loved and missed by the group!! They broke up in five years but left a treasure trove of music and videos!! There all from England where I feel all good rock,and roll singers come from!! Listen to Ronnie Lanes “Debri” or “Oh LaLa” which he wrote before passing away!! Great spirit!! I think I recall Maclagan said in his book (“All the Rage” - brilliant, get a copy!) that by this point, Ronnie’s guitar wasn’t always plugged in.

Love Ronnie, but not sure this band has the soul of Slim Chance. Seems a bit thrown together and crowded in the mix. Slim Chance just had that feel, cant really describe it, but utterly perfect...

I think I recall Maclagan said in his book (“All the Rage” - brilliant, get a copy!) that by this point, Ronnie’s guitar wasn’t always plugged in.

@@arlingtonhynes Well, he's definitely plugged on for this show, although you can't always hear him. The acoustic however is plainly obvious.

couldn't agree more. Have collected all Ronnie and Roy's recordings. Roy Woods Boulders Album is something else, those of you who have not auditioned it do so, you'll not regret it!

Also Chrissie Stewart, the bass player, is RIP. That's most of the band. Luckily we have this video to see how great they were live!
Love Ronnie, but not sure this band has the soul of Slim Chance. Seems a bit thrown together and crowded in the mix. Slim Chance just had that feel, cant really describe it, but utterly perfect...

IndependentGeorge76 It sounds like Stu on piano sets the tone here. I have read that he refused to play anything that was too far removed from the boogie-woogie style he loved. Certainly seems to be the case here. Still great for all that.

Boy,you couldn't try to get a more inappropriate drummer for Ronnie,no backbeat,no foot,way too light jazz feel....Just falls flat without a rock solid drummer.....

Thumbs down. Sounds like Bob Dylan after a gallon of Tequila - or bathtub gin. Too drunken sounding. Ronnie Lane could be much better though. I guess the promoters were trying to keep the poor guy going.
