Imagine having your career ended and people call you a bad fighter just because you lost to someone who turns out, was on steroids. Gina Carano, technically, retired undefeated, considered she never lost to anyone who wasnt caught to have cheated and won illegitimately.

Fight called with 1 second to go in 5 minute 1st round. GC fought well before getting in an awkward position 4 and a half minutes into the first round. Was the first time women ever fought a five minute round (rather than 3). GC NEVER threw Cyborg under the bus afterwards even when reporters invited her to do so. Always praised Cyborg as a great fighter who did not need to be on roids (although we can conclude GC would have won easily if Cyborg clean). I have issue with anyone who calls Carano a bad fighter. The 7 fights she won were spectacular.... if she had fought Rousey it would have been spectacular. Rousey was great but styles make fights and I believe GC’s striking would have been a bad matchup for Rhonda. But I also believe Rousey could beat anyone she could get hold of and take down .... including Cyborg.

hellaskinnyskin​ I disagree. The ones doing it would remove themselves from competition for a while and get clean then comeback. The future generations of fighters would know better because they would have seen Champions dishonored and stripped of their titles and countless other fighters lose their livelihood.

I've competed in Judo. There are weight divisions, men's/women's divisions, and age divisions because strength is a huge part of Judo. To be competitive in Judo takes tremendous physical strength.

I love it that Rhonda is super ready to Crush Cyborg. Would love to see Cyborg rematch Gina...that first one was better then a lot of the guys fights.

exactly. she mentions it herself in this interview: it all about "different combination" of drugs so you don't get caught; believe it or not, combat sports like boxing and MMA have more leeway for roids than other sports.

I have competed in Judo, which means I have an insider's perspective. It's weird that you would deny that. It's not like Judo is extremely rare. Millions of people do it. I've also competed in other fighting sports. I think what you should be asking is why wouldn't a Judo competitor use steroids? Steroids and other drugs make you bigger, stronger, faster, and speed recovery. Judo is no different than any other sport. I did it for years. It's 50% skill, 50% strength, and 110% work effort.

True, about Lucia. To be fair, her opponent was the thai boxing champion at the time, so she's fighting an elite-level professional, no Joe Shmoe on the street. As to Cyborg, I really hope she doesn't just find another "cocktail" that's harder to detect. I'd like to see her natural strength, so we can gauge just how good she actually is. Should still be a helluva fight, regardless.

I think a certain ammount of cocky is required to be a great fighter. My opinion is when you are young its considered cocky and when you get a bit older and more vet it becomes confidence

Ronda rousey looks pretty good here. I think she would smoke cyborg regardless of steroids or what have you. I don't think any1 has had a better submission game than rousey. weather you use 1 submission or 20, if you have a 100% success rate at winning by submission in a professional arena, you are the best. period. I just saw Ronda fight tonight and after what I saw I'm a fan she beat Kaufman in less than a minute I was disappointed the fight was so short but that's awesome she could win so fast.

If DC had any sense or wanted more success in casting superheroes, Gina Carano would be already cast as "Wonder Woman" and Ronda Rousey would already be cast as "Black Canary" and they would be making postscript appearances in the end of the "Dark Knight Rises" as an introduction....but what do I know?

***** I'd like to see the weight game destroyed across the board. Instead of this scheming, wanting to fight at 145 so the fighter can rehydrate and have their internal organs sutured back in for fight night... I'd like to see them do the weigh-in right in the octagon, 5 minutes before the fighters glove up and get after it. Calling someone out at 145 because you're actually going to weigh 170 during the fight is bullshit.

its not just that they are woman, its that they are really good mma fighters. they put on good fights. i can see how the commercial aspect of it may get annoing, but the product they sell is high quality.

If you can juice without getting caught, chances are the top competitors are. And, whenever there are a lot of people juicing at the top of a sport, even the people who want to be honest are forced to either (a) give up on being the best, or (b) cheating. So, you either have to have really serious testing regimes, or change the rules.

Not at all. I'm sure there are many instances where people who don't use banned substances prevail over those who do. But at the very highest levels of a sport where the slightest edge makes the difference, non-users will feel the pressure to become users if that is the norm at the top level. That is why they take the risk. Bodybuilding is the extreme example. There is no such thing as a top level pro who does not use.

well i agree if you take 2 people with simular skills that strength (physically and mentally) would be a vital factor but the fact is that i dont see any in the womens division with the skillset like Ronda, and that includes Cyborg.

Can Cyborg dominate without roids? She looked like a skinny weakling against Érica Paes, and got subbed pretty quickly. Of course she looked much more muscular and bigger 6 months later against Vanessa Porto. The transformation in such a short span was quite amazing. It will be interesting to see Cyborg when she retires. I expect a Mark Kerr type shrink in size. If you don't know who he is, look him up. He went from the Hulk to Mr Rogers practically overnight.

Cyborg should be fighting at Super F. L. Mumbai, India. They use ultra modern testing procedures.

I'm sure Rousey could match Fox. Fallon Fox shouldn't be fighting women but I don't doubt that Rousey could probably win. She not only has the ability but given her past interviews, there is a pretty deep emotional base to why she fights and I think that is the most important factor.

True,Cyborg tested positive, for anabolic steroids however, you would be surprised at how many athletes, who appear to be clean and test clean, are on PED's. The visual aspect, is what throws people off. Some who do use, within any sport, may not have a great deal of resistance training therefore not showing bulky muscles. For those who are juiced and make weight training a part of their training, will appear to be juice to the max, based on just their appearance. Do not be fooled.

Well, I was replying to where you said that winny has no androgenic effect, which is not true. And you don't know Cyborg's protocol to say she took something else. Taking only winny is pretty standard in Brazil for girls (I live here) and she could very well be on just that and have all the androgenic side effects.

Everyone hates on things they have no knowledge about and/or have never experienced before. Another thing that gets shit on by ignorance is weed.
