A quick comprehensive guide and analysis of Ronal from James Cameron's Avatar (2009) and Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) Explained.
In this breakdown, analysis, reaction and explanation we focus on Ronal, played by actor Kate Winslet, the spiritual leader or tsahìk (shaman) of the Metkayina clan. One of the many oceanic clans residing in the atolls region of Pandora's eastern seas.
In this video essay we discuss Ronal's relationships with her mate/husband Tonowari (Cliff Curtis), her son Ao'nung (Filip Geljo) and her daughter/Tsakarem Tsireya (Bailey Bass). We explore her reluctant nature of accepting Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri te Tskaha Mo'at'ite (Zoe Saldana) and their family into the central village of the Metkayina, called Awa'atlu. As absolutely does not have a good time living with Kiri (Sigourney Weaver), Tuk (Trinity Bliss), Neteyam (Jamie Flatters), not Spider (Jack Champion), and Lo'ak (Britain Dalton).
Being the spiritual leader, Ronal is well versed in Pandoran botany, and guides the clan through rites of passage like first breath.
And just when you thought it couldn't get anymore sad, I further explain how Ro'a's story was even more tragic than you remember. And why Captain of the SeaDragon Mick Scoresby (Brendan Cowell), Dr. Ian Garvin (Jemaine Clement) and the rest of Scoresby's crew got what they deserved.

2:40 SOMEONE FINALLY POINTED THAT OUT!! I feel bad for the rest of the Sullys but I think Neytiri deserves to know what it feels like. Like, I can understand her feeling resentment towards human soldiers but the way she treats the human CHILD that her own children are close to annoys me.

Don't forget that her own husband is a 'demon'
She's a great warrior by going into battle while PREGNANT, although she should be more empathetic towards the Sully family. I like her character and outfit designs, as well as her skill in being a Tsahik. Even Tonowari knew better than to argue with her, "I RIDE!" 😅😂

It would be cool one day, to see in live action a flashback to Miles Quarritch getting his iconic scars on his human body!

Yeah that’s a question I’ve been wondering. Why did the Metkayina leave during the battle? Was there a real reason or was it just to change the focus onto the Sullys?

It was probably due to the movie already exceeding 2 hours but it can also be because their weapons aren't made for fighting and they got nothing against guns ships canons ect so they retreated and let the sully's deal with it as they know more abt the enemies
