In this breakdown, analysis, reaction and explanation we focus on Aonung, played by actor Filip Geljo, son of the Metkayina clans leaders Ronal (Kate Winslet) and Tonowari (Cliff Curtis). Also known as the Olo'eyktan and Tsahìk of the Metkayina clan.
In this video essay we discuss Aonung's relationships with his parents Ronal and Tonowari, his sister Tsireya (Bailey Bass); and his struggle of accepting the Omaticaya visitors of Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri's (Zoe Saldana) family. Us: How much of a disappointment is Ao'nung? Bryce: YES. Okay, joke aside while I wish Ao'nung was as nice as Tsireya towards the Sully children it was kind of sad to see him as a bully. But I guess he did learn his lesson and I truly hope he can mend the working relationship he has with Lo'ak since...well the latter is in love with his younger sister.

Actually if you look very close while Tsireya is helping LO’AK you can see in the background that Aonung is helping Neyteyam 😊

There is actually a moment where he's a little helpful. When Lo'ak is about to make the bond with his ilu for the first time, u can see Neteyam and Aonung in the background, and it looks like Aonung's teaching him
Well, 3:19 In my opinion, it's not that he isn't tough but he sees Neteyam superior to him and listens and respects him as he does to his father. He doesn't listen to Lo'ak because he sees him as himself, an unmature and reckless teenager not needed to respect or listen to. He even teaches Neteyam instead of the others, listens to him more, and only tells Neteyam he ditched his brother beyond the reef. I'm guessing he looks up to Neteyam as he looks after his siblings and takes on the role as an older-siblings while Aonung doesn't very much and it's Tsireya taking the role instead.

At first when I saw Ao'nung for the first time and that he was just rude and ignorant, I was excited on how the dynamic would be, but then just got so disappointed when he turned out to be a big bully when he just left lo'ak TO DIE in the middle of NOWHERE, that's too far
