Probably union workers. I know a guy who spent some time in a union and on his first day he and a crew of guys got a job done in one afternoon. They got in trouble because the job was scheduled to take the whole crew over 2 weeks get that one job done.

He genuinely enjoys both of their company. Andy loves football and food and he and Ron connected on that. April shares his general demeanor of "everyone around me is an idiot," so they get along just fine. It's a very sweet relationship they all have.

Ron actually going over to Diane’s house and fixing the pothole himself is really commendable, as well as it lead to him meeting Diane.😊❤ I also love how excited and emotional Ron gets when he takes his son to the 3rd floor.😊❤

Just so everyone knows, the contractor who agrees to let Ron renovate the third floor for him is the same actor who plays Dutch Van Der Linde

You have to wonder just how many people went to Lowe's after that episode aired to do the same thing. I imagine Lowe's employees just quit asking that for a while.

Ron and Diane was always great to see. Wish we saw them more. Cause they always had great chemistry together.

The Halloween episode where Ron walks around with Anne and fixes Andy and April’s house is definitely one of my favorites

Ron is so much like my dad. He calls people at hardware stores "useless", works with wood, good with kids. I learned how to be mostly self sufficient.

“Your tax dollars at work” hits a lot differently now that I work in parks and rec and the amount of stuff the government won’t let us fix but demand we do fix is mind numbing

Best compliment I ever got was a coworker saying I remind them of Ron from parks and recs.

Handyman greatness aside, Ron had the cutest apprentice ever.

The best part is Nick Offerman (Ron’s actor) does all this in real life too. He loves DIY to the point he got his own show about it.

The key to making a great TV series is casting. Ron Swanson was originally presented as an ultra right-wing, anti-government, money over everything, anti-anything not American, anti-social hardass who just want to tear everything down if it could not make a profit. But very quickly the show presented him as far deeper than that. He deeply cares about people, about hard work, about honesty. He enjoys fixing things and helping people. He respects those that want to make things better, even if they run counter to his beliefs. He has no racism or prejudice. And he loves jazz and nature.

Ron is 100% correct, for me getting a broken truck into my workshop and it leaving in perfect condition is a hell of a feeling of accomplishment

This is the first time I've ever even thought to nitpick this moment, but since I've watched the show 20 times, I think I've earned the right. You're telling me that Ron didn't have some awesome metal in his workshop that he couldn't have used for that ring project? :-) Suspension of disbelief reestablished.
