I’ve currently got just a couple grams over 7 ounces of gold coins and one bar plus a bunch of broken 14k chains and rings.(just need to melt them down) He told me that good will always hold value no matter what happens. Thanks grandpa having gold has helped me have the means to pay a lot of surprise bills. It’s a lot more expensive now vs when I was younger could buy an ounce in 1998 for a little less than $300 vs 2023 it’s over $1800.
