Thank you for all the great information in this video. I just rescued a pigeon yesterday. It was at an auction in a box with 2 other birds. It was getting picked on and so the guy who bought it was going to just throw it out the door. I believe the little pigeon is only a few months old. You've given me a great start to taking care of this little beauty. Take care - Marcie

Very good video, I personality do not keep my loft super clean all the time. It's not completely filthy though but the pigeons do stand and walk in the droppings and whatnot. I noticed that in the loft where droppings are more substantial, those pigeons have a much higher immunity level compared to those pigeons who barely receive any exposure from the droppings. I don't have much illness within my birds. At most they require worming and once in awhile use I Cankerex on em. Biggest problem I have is hawks but they usually only get the slow birds.

Hello sir, my name is Ed Dixon. I just started back raising after being out of the game almost 20 years. Since coming into knowledge of whom you are, I’ve been enjoying the schooling you’re providing. Thank you! I have a few birds that are starting to puff up their feathers and have a sickly look about them. So my question is, what are your thoughts on probiotics for the birds? And at what point if any should it be used?

bakerdj1977 excellent question thank you for your support please make sure you subscribe these pellets are specifically marked pigeon pallets but the contents of them are very similar to lay pellets I have used lay pallets when I didn't have pigeon pallets with no adverse effect but you really want to consult your local feed store and find out all the details the pallets that I use are 22% crude protein this information can be found on the label of every bag

thunderandsnow0 the ideal pills are for when you notice a bird losing weight not having any appetite sort of puffed up and withdrawn no energy Ideal pills are your first line of defense I have use this on birds that look like they were on their last leg and they have come back to full health I think currently this is about the best remedy on the market in my humble opinion are usually treat them for five to Seven days One pill a day and improvement is usually pretty fast

Jose Casarez Jose thanks for your support and please subscribe I suggest using 1 tablespoon per per per day for flying birds using the 50-50 wheat Milo mix as for breeding birds I have used 22% but it's actually too high you can use a lower percentage and get the same results with better cost and less mess The 22% tends to make their droppings extremely watery and if you go down in percentage you get a better dropping and the same results so I suggest dropping the percentage of protein
