Hello brother Scully, yes they will eat most any seed if they are hungry enough. The key is knowing what seed to feed when. And a lot of times it is a gamble at best..😁

Very informative video! Every new flyer should watch this to understand feeding their birds. Do you not feed any popcorn to your breeders? Also have you ever fed safflower to your kit birds? It helps with molt and helps the feathers shine. I do a red wheat, milo, barley and safflower mix. They seem to do good on it. 16% for breeders.

Hello Ace my friend! It's just my take on it. I always think of things I should of said after watching the video back...lol Like: don't over do it with the milo they will draw up to nothing but feathers if your not careful and they will overfly on you..There's no corn in the mixes shown because it's summer time and corn adds heat..but I did cover the bulk of it..maybe that will get folks seeing the method to my madness..😆

I've got to get my feed mixture right for my birds. They fly about 30 minutes and go too high to see the roll clearly. The last 5 minutes or so of their flight they are down lower and rolling like crazy. Right now they are getting maybe 1 1/4 tablespoons per bird. Its a mixture of wheat, milo, and safflower. I dont mind the 30 minute flight time but they go way too high i think.

Hello John, Yeah it is different for every area as to how our birds react to each seed and different amounts per bird..Sound like you just need a little tweak here and there and you will have it! Best of luck to you.
