ROKR Chocolate Factory Marble Run Part 12 (Finale)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I saw this marble run while I was browsing, and thought the colorful nature looked fun, plus ROKR has always had pretty good quality products in my experience.
I am going to be making an effort to have slightly longer videos now, just to try and get through these projects a bit faster.

Thank you for your videos. I could not have done this without them. Even your missteps were instructive.

Thank you for these videos! I checked my gears every step. But when I loaded the marbles it jammed. Your video helped me identify where I erred. Thank you again!

Mine was getting stuck when the balls rotated around in the middle. For some reason, the balls would stay put in the slots when they made it 3/4 around, instead of falling into the middle. I was able to add a slight modification to force them to drop sooner. I glued a curved piece about 1/4 way around, forcing the balls to fall sooner. I also made a slight mod on the tower where the balls rise, adding a short piece to extend on the outside so that if the balls stacked before rolling, a ball would not fall out of the maze. I have posted a short video of the first modification: kzread.infoWE-7Z8FVz98

Hi, planning to build this soon, but looking for advice. Is the finished product susceptible to dust? If so, how often do you clean it?

It’s no more dusty than any other Knick Knack, most of the moving parts are concealed on it, so it would probably be easier to keep clean with some light dusting than some of the other marble runs.

Just finished this build and your videos were super helpful, but mine still isn't working correctly....the marbles get stuck in the funnel and don't advance.....it keeps turning....any suggestions?

If they’re getting clogged in the bottom of the funnel you may not have enough room underneath it for the marbles, try pushing the chute underneath it down just a tad. If they stay on the top of the funnel without going down you may be missing a piece, there should be a little arm that forces them down into the hole.

I'm thinking of getting this as a gift, how do you like it several days after? The lack of visible cogs and machinations is a shame, and it seems underwhelming when in motion from where I'm standing. More interesting as a static object and a bit of a let down when active? And how would it stand up to a curious and belligerant cat of, say, 4 kilos? Great video, thanks

I still like it, I did put it on my mantle to display and the colors really do look good, I would agree it's more interesting as a static object, even when in motion the structure gets in the way of seeing most of the marbles actual movement unless you're almost down at the base. I would still recommend it, it was a fun build and the end result is fairly sturdy, as long as the cat doesn't knock it off a ledge I think it will survive.

@@Dbuilderguy nice, thanks for the answers. I think I'll get it, it's probably a plus that it looks great motionless, unlike some of the others which look quite bland and need interaction.
