This show doesn't go day by day. There are time jumps between episodes. There has to at least been a few days or even a week between episode 2 and 3. Then another time jump from episode 3 to 4 to 5. Even after episode 5, there are still time jumps with the way how Storm took quite a while to make it back to the mansion.

Complete trust and flawless teamwork. This is what it's all about.

I like that they showed this. It’s not often mention but the doctor is right, during birth the mother can lose control of her powers. It was shown in a Marvel series where Polaris gives birth. She had to be put in an enclosure and even then she broke the lights all the way on the streets.

I feel like people have missed the point of what he was saying he wasn’t saying the baby potentially being a mutant would be a problem he was saying that a mutant mother giving birth could potentially become a safety hazard for the whole hospital sense do to the immense amount of trauma and pain during child birth they could lose control of there powers which to be far we’ve seen that mutants are prone to lose control of there powers in painful or high stress situations so even though he was being a coward cause he was scared he technically wasn’t wrong.

Most regular people don't know a thing about mutant biology, which would technically put mutant births outside of a regular doctor's area of expertise. Therefore, they'd be untrained in helping. Most humans only hear about mutants when Mutants like Magneto, Mystique, or apocalypse cause an incident.

The show has been good by all accounts. That being said, when will there ever be any nuance to the legitimate concerns there would be in a world where a kid going through puberty causes him to become a danger to himself or others through no fault of his own? The normal people aren't evil for having actual concerns yet they are constantly grouped with the "eradicate all mutants with peejudice" people.

I'm kinda on the doc's side. Dad has eyes that have an endless supply of explosive kinetic energy, and Mom is an omega level superpower that often attracts a cosmic entitiy of destruction. He doesn't, actually. Some mutant babies are born duds, without powers, like Craydon Creed. There's no way to tell before the baby is born. They could also have Madelyne wear a inhibitor collar until she delivers the baby, for safety. The doctor here is clearly prejudiced and hides behind an assumption.

The doctor has a point. We have seen countless times of mutants loosing control of their powers during stressful times and combine that with a baby which could have active powers that it wouldn't be able to control.

99% of all mutant children are born without powers, the few who are typically have physical mutations and gain other powers later. Like Mystique and Nightcrawler.

All honesty theres two sides to this and both have their reasons. 1. I see a lot of people mentioning the Doctor’s oath but also its morally wrong to not 2. The Doctor is right here tho. I mean…would you wanna help somebody give birth to a child just for that child to potentially kill you because the child can punch your head off or something? 😅

Thing is mutants don't have their powers at birth. Nightcrawler is one of the very rare exceptions. Their powers don't trigger til around puberty.

The doctor was right, even if for the wrong reasons. Jean destroyed Logan's car on their way there, so we know for a fact she's losing control of her powers due to the birth. Worst case scenario, she could've deleted gravity in the room and shank everyone like butter with their own medical tools.

actually he should've had to say yes due to his oath when he became a doctor, the baby being dangerous is only dangerous to the medical staff, n which case it's their responsibility to figure out how to provide care in the safest way possible but it is entirely their responsibility to do so, at best you could claim rogue taking the doctors expertise was the safest thing that could be done by "doctors" at that time but still he should've talked to the group and came to that conclusion for them instead of refusing to even hear them out

Did they retcon Rogue's ability in 97? If memory serves it's a temporary drain and the duration is proportional to the duration of the contact (unless she holds on too long i.e. Ms. Marvel). I am curious if after a couple of seconds if she was going to have that expertise for long enough to complete the childbirth.
