Kevin Eubanks in the background couldn't control his laughter, Leno nearly lost it with the proctologist joke. This is classic comedy and so enjoyable.

Yes agreed. The I was 16 when he passed and re ally wasn't into comedy... I saw him in a couple movies and then I saw him you know one occasion obviously just heard pop culture and he's funny but the more I listen and the more one-liners I hear from him and the older I get in smarter obviously the more I understand how incredibly difficult it is to kind of not develop a joke and pack the entire punching to a one-liner this is very difficult and his expressions and mannerisms and facial everything I agree 100% and wish that he would get a little bit more conversation when talking about best of all time. Obviously people have their favorites and the media has their favorites to which obviously sways public opinion but a good hour of his will stand up against anybody some of his jokes I've had me falling out of the chair when I haven't laughed that hard from a modern woke ever.

I like how Rodney basically just performed then interviewed himself. Absolutely hilarious!!!
God, how many years has he been gone...and I still break up with laughter!

One of the all time greats. Comedy legend.
May God rest Rodneys soul. Rodney was a blessing to lots of us fans of his!
80 years old and still funnier then ever! He is a comedy legend!!!

Was this video from 1999? Because he was born in 1921
Rodney was the only stand-up and sit-down comedian.
"...now the lid won't stay down" OMG I lost myself at that one xD
A true comic genius. He dropped them constantly to the point where you couldn’t recover from laughing . That’s talent.
Fantastic never heard these jokes before. Rodney you are Funny. Miss you. Love watching you on the tonight show. You are the only one that can make Johnny fall off his seat laughing. Johnny always loved having you on his show. RIP Rodney.
What a crowd, what a crowd...
King of one liners!! Amazing 👏
Rodney NEVER Runs Out Of VERY Funny One Liners. He'll ALWAYS Be On The Top Of The Heap Of Comedians...
I love how Jay lets him go on like Johnny Carson did.
His jokes never get old. The best one liner to ever live.
Never seen someone say I've been married 6 years, and the crowd just stay silent. The dude is like 90 here lol, give him a hand for that one at least lol
Still killing at that age, what a legend.
Thanks. I was at this taping. No Doubt performed.
Sounds like Kevin Eubanks had more fun than anyone else in the house.
My G*d, Rodney got even funnier as he got older, which is saying alot. Priceless! Merci pour le téléchargement.
Best classic comedian ever
Comic genius. Perfect timing.
I think this is one of his best routines in the last few years he was alive.
Funny, prophetic, and humble. Thanks Mr no respect.
He was the BEST.....funniest man EVER
I could watch this all day long, a stress reliever
In 1994, I was questioned at the LA Federal Courthouse as a possible juror in a case involving Rodney Dangerfield regarding a lawsuit. I was disqualified when I was asked if I liked Rodney or if I was a fan of his and I answered yes... I believe he was found not guilty in some kind of slander or libel case... Rodney was one of a kind and I still miss his jokes and still watch his films he did. Wish he made more of them...
Rodney was the true icon of stand up comedians I know he is looking down at us laughing at the wannabes He was the best
80-years-old? I did notice he was looking quite a bit older here. But, he's still as funny as he ever was.
I will gladly sacrifice Beiber, all of the Kardashians, the entire cast of Jersey Shore, Paris Hilton, and all the other no talent hacks that exist today if we could get Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, and Rodney Dangerfield back. Let's throw in Cary Grant, Gregory Peck, Johhny Carson, and Jimmy Stewart too, just for good measure.

My sentiments exactly. And you could add George Burns and Jack Benny to the mix too. I saw the great Bob Hope in Melbourne, Australia in July of 1983 and he was brilliant. Nearly two hours of funny one liners and he'd just turned 80 a few months before. Now I'd just be happy to get just one day when I don't have to read something online about the puerile goings on of the aforementioned talentless hacks that you referrred to. Especially Kim Kardashian and Kanye Pest. Oh, I wish!

Fair Point. But you got to have him anyway.
I met Rodney when I was a teenager years ago , around 1974.. my boss was a very good friend, they worked together, grew up together. He was funny too & the two together were something to experience ! They called me the “ kid” ( the f’in kid “) usually, lol! I saw him many times, had drinks & lunches with him , got to hang out with those guys a lot back then ,they were truly like the guy Rodney portrayed in caddie shack ! My boss had to be what inspired the Al Jervik character! Just imagine having dinners with these guys in real life ! Rodney would purposely make me laugh so hard , he just enjoyed it! One time I saw Rodney in New Haven ct. at the old Colliseum , he gave me tickets to the show then he messed with me during the show.. he had me laughing so damn hard I could hardly get my breathe ! At one point some guy hollered out “ hey Rodney, your fly is down “& Rodney said “ ya, that’s right- I was just playing with your little brother!” I laughed so much that show! He had the spot light track me as I got up to go to the lobby & get some air - then he said hey kid, where the hell ya goin? Stick around for the fights, I’m not gonna pay the band! His live performances were , if you could believe , even funnier than his Tonite show stuff because the subject matter and the language he could use live ! Absolutely the funniest comedian ever , and maybe people need to know about the other Rodney…what a wonderful, friendly , generous, very smart sweet human being and really good friend he was. Rest easy Rodney , I miss you , I miss the times I shared with you and Stan , all of us fans miss you ❤ Mr. Tom aka “the kid “ Folks, if you get Rodney’s humor check out you tube for Rodney’s times with Johnny Carson , then with Jay Leno ! These are some of his best moments, super funny with the masters in Carson & Leno setting up the jokes for Rodney! Jay and Kevin and the band know what I’m talking about! I was a lucky kid I’ll tell ya that! priceless & we are so lucky to have those videos to watch ! Keep laughing & never forget!😂😂
Great stuff nobody makes me laugh more!
Rodney is the King of Comedy'no comadians are even close to him these days.
Its cool to see how much times have changed but the classics are always classics. Rodney was a steup punchline setup punchline type of comic. They are a rarity these days, today its more long bits and story telling. I think they both have their merits but you don't see many masterful at this style in the scene today.

jjmstick Thanks brother for posting this awesome clip! I still remember watching the clip when it aired on tv. Rodney may have left us but his act never will! RIP Rodney!
damn it, im crying. This man didnt slow down at all
It's wonderful to see a guy at the top of his game at that late point in his career. Just classic, from start to finish. Great to see an old master just pushing to envelope the whole night. This was 'blue' material from a class act. Nowadays, comedians come right out the gate tossing around the 'f-word', trying to be as funny and as bawdy as this guy. Take notes.

Modern day comedians are about as funny as watching paint dry That’s because their jokes come from between their legs where their brains are
Interviews himself, makes all the jokes, then closes himself out. Lmao
That guy in the band is having way too much fun.
Too bad about the skips/glitches that run through the video.😫😩😖 Rodney was the best of the best. Wish he could have hung around ten more years doing his routines and making movies. 🤪😁👏👍🐭😺
King of the one-liners :)

He's like 90 making these sex jokes. It's great! Lol
Good stuff here, ... we don't need to see him, but hear him. I've no problem with the quality. Thanks for posting this.
Great video. Thanks for posting
1999 doesn't seem too too long ago to me. Now if you're watching Dangerfield on Carson from 1978, yea that's kinda old.
The VCR quality doesn't matter. Rodney was a Master of the "one - liner". This is Old School at its finest. He will be missed! R.I.P.
I like the comment: What did you record this on ? a dish rag ? !!! I love it. Yeah it was what we call VCR with fukd up tracking,,,, at least I got it. Sorry , I know it is not HD quality, but if you can look beyond that, its hilarious.

If it wasn't for this "dish rag" recording, this classic may have been lost to the sands of time. To the person who complained about it, I'd love to see their 4K HD recording..
Thank you for posting, this made me laugh my ass off. Sure miss Rodney Dangerfield, absolute one of the best. I remember watching this interview on The Tonight Show.
what can I say simply the best
Absolute classic, sucks he's gone.
Love his "interviews" lol
He surely had his signature move of grabbing his tie.
King of Comedy
This man was an absolute genius!
A true comedian, a natural.
The best ever.
He was so underrated. Definitely one of his best routines I literally fell out of my chair no pun intended. And his rapport and banter with Leno is definitely my favorite

God himself laughs up there at Dangerfield's jokes while the angels cover their ears.😀
He was in rare form in this video, scary thing is all these great talents I grew up with are dropping like flies and I’m feeling my age creeping up on me with each passing year, I miss all of it
Legend
That Clinton bit was so underrated.

Think this was the different time compared to the one where Jay Leno said that Rodney Dangerfield didn't seem right and called the paramedics. Rodney had a mini stroke.
hahaha kevin eubanks
King of the One Liners...........My favorite was in Back to School when he confronted his cheating ex wife with pictures his hired private eye took of her messing around with the hired help, he goes "Ok, now here's a picture i don't get, ok, here's you, the gardener, the driver, but one question, what's with the midget?" Classic
Best I’ve ever seen
Hilarious.
That bill Clinton bern. Love it!!
My god this man killed it! What a legend!
Love him ♥
Unbelievable genius Rodney was the best still is in my opinion
He was the master of comedy!!!!!!!
