Toward the end of ''Rocky Marciano,'' a coming Showtime docudrama, the retired boxer flies to Denver on the final day of his life to visit Joe Louis in a psychiatric hospital. When he leaves, Marciano hands the hospital administrator a bag full of cash to upgrade Louis's care. Heartwarming and dramatic, but false. It could not have happened. Louis was committed to the Denver hospital in May 1970, suffering from emotional problems. Five months later, he returned home. But Marciano died on Aug. 31, 1969.

Afro Italians total population 1,096,089. Regions with significant populations Rome, Milan, Turin, Palermo, Bologna, Brescia, Bergamo and Florence. In 2014 alone over 170,000 migrants arrived which represented the biggest influx of people into one country in European Union history. 91 percent arrive via Africa. African migrants specifically use Libyan coasts to travel across the Mediterranean Sea. Although departing from Libya, most are from Ghana and Nigeria. The European Union has put forth 1.8 billion euros for Africa's refugee efforts in Europe. To whom it may concern i am Afro-Italian and proud of it.

Marciano boarded a small Cessna 172 with pilot Glenn Belz, and Frank Farrell, the son of Louis Thomas Fratto, born Luigi Tommaso Giuseppe Fratto, also known as "Lew Farrell" and "Cock-eyed", an American labor racketeer and organized crime figure in Chicago, Illinois, and Des Moines, Iowa, from the 1930s to his death in 1967. A massive storm system challenged Belz's relative inexperience (231 hours of total flight time) as the plane flew west from Chicago over Iowa. Trying to land at a small airfield outside Newton, Belz crashed the plane into a tree about two miles short of the intended runway. On August 31, 1969, all aboard, including Marciano, died on impact. It was all Rocky's fault, he pressured the amateur pilot into flying even though he knew they were headed towards severe thunderstorms. Why? What was so important in Des Moines? His business was loansharking and he had to collect 35K. Which is equivalent to 290K today.

Marciano said his best weight he ever fought at was, "186lbs." Tyson was 220lbs at his fastest & best. About 235lbs at his heaviest. Rocky didn't have the speed or footwork to keep Tyson away or the skill or technique to keep him off. And saying that Rocky was tough… well,, tough can get you killed in the ring against a super power puncher with superior skills. This fight wouldn't last 2 rounds with a prime Tyson. And a non-prime Tyson would still be heavier and stronger. Rocky never faced anyone of merit who was near their prime. You wouldn't want Tyson to be your first. Bigger, faster, stronger. With malicious intent. No way Rocky would beat a prime Iron Mike.

@@River553 37 year old Joe Louis had already been fightin "17yrs" with 68 fights and 96 fights before 2 million soldiers during his 4 year military service before facing little Rocky. Joe's speedy reflexes were non-existent and it looked as if he was wadding through mud. And that 8 fight winning streak Joe had before fightin Rocky was a complete set-up using carefully selected hand-picked featherfisted opponents. 38/39 year old cruiserweight Journeyman Joe lost all throughout his entire career, beginning, middle and end. He had 49 wins 20 losses according to BoxRec. Walcott had already been fightin for "22yrs" with an abysmal 44% KO's before facing little Rocky. He definitely was not prime. Walcott Lost (20) times and was KO'd (6) times. Light heavyweight Ezzard Charles had already been fightin "15yrs" with 95 fights before facing little Rocky. Charles had the lowest ever 42% KO's. His best boxing years were already behind him at light heavyweight, not moonlighting at cruiserweight. Charles Lost (25) times and was KO'd (7) times. 42 year old grandfather light heavyweight Moore had already been fightin "20yrs" with 178 fights before facing little Rocky. Exactly 95% of his 141 TKO's came against welterweights, middleweights, light heavyweights and small cruiserweights. Moore was fighting professionally when little rocky was only TWELVE YEARS old. Moore Lost (23) times and was KO'd (7) times. Meantime little cruiserweight Marciano only fought a measly "7yrs" before he abruptly "Quit" during his prime at only 31yrs of age. If you eliminate his secretive amateur/professional debut fight under the alias Rocky Mackjeanne, he actually fought "7yrs" because there was a 15 month gap between his 1st and 2nd fights. Read Mike Stanton to understand Rocky Mackjeanne vs. Les Epperson in Holyoke. Holyoke was in a circuit of gritty New England cities where ethnic rivalries played out in the boxing rings. Holyoke shoulda been named Bumville. Rocky Mackjeanne was shortened to Rocky Mack just before the fight. Little Rocky "Quitting" so soon is not only shameful but not fair to other genuine Heavyweights that had 15 to 20 year careers. Dozens of real-Heavyweights could have also retired undefeated if they had "Quit" after only "7yrs". Marciano was a "Quitter"!!!

@@River553JOURNEYMAN JERSEY JOE WALCOTT EXPOSED There are few heavyweight champions in the history of boxing that are better known for their losses than their wins. Jersey Joe Walcott's high profile losses is what elevated his status and built up his credentials, not his wins. During his peak championship years, Walcott scored 7 wins with 5 KO's. Only one of those KO's came against a ranked fighter, that being Ezzard Charles. During this time Walcott also lost 7 times and suffered 10 count KO's 3 times and a 9 count once. In total fights during this time Walcott's record was 7-7. In title fights he went 2-6 with 1 KO win and 3 KO losses. He fought 3 different men in his 8 title fights, was defeated by each of them twice, KO'd by two of them and only defeated one of them. In his overall career, Walcott had a 49-20-1 record and was KO'd 6 times (BoxRec). Based on these less than impressive stats it is difficult to consider him anymore than a good Journeyman. Walcott scored 32 KO's in 70 fights. 8 of them came against fighters who were winless. The only two ranked fighters Walcott ever KO'd was an off the floor 10th round win over Curtis Sheppard and the lightning in the bottle KO of Ezzard Charles. Walcott is a prime example of boxing historians rating a fighter higher than he deserves based on impressive losses. Walcott was winless in all 4 of his fights vs Louis/Marciano and was KO'd 3 times. The fact that Walcott was granted 6 title attempts in a 6 year span speaks volumes about how weak the heavyweight division must have been at this time. Five of these title opportunities came immediately after a Walcott loss. Had Walcott been fighting in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's, there is no way he would have been granted this many opportunities after losing so many title attempts. Walcott should at best be remembered not as a great heavyweight champion, but a good B+level Journeyman. [[[ If a fighter today had (20) losses and was KO'd (6) times he'd be considered an undercard B or C-level Journeyman, correct? Why is this ok for old-school fighters but not modern fighters? Wilder and Joshua only have (5) losses between them yet they are already considered nobodies. But it's perfectly fine for Walcott Charles Moore to have (68) losses! Lennox Lewis was KOd (2) times and his top-10 ranking has suffered ever since. But it's perfectly fine for Walcott Charles Moore to have been KOd (20) times! ]]] [[[ And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Lee Savold Lost (45) times and Ted Lowry Lost (68) times yet this is perfectly fine in the mindset of Marciano fans. Dare go to a Savold vs. Marciano vid and say one wrong thing about Savold and you'll immediately have fifteen Marciano fans attacking. Little Marciano is all exaggerated hype, nothing more nothing less. ]]]

I was obsessed because my Dad was my hero and I wanted to know more about his heroes. When Dad sparred and even taught me and my brother he taught us Rocky’s style. Staying low, constant head movement, etc. I remember the first time I saw Joe Frazier box, I knew “this guy is emulating Rocky.” He soon became my favorite fighter. Ever wonder why little Marciano is always ranked so high? Because his ranking is determined by modern computer metric algorithms. Problem is this man-made program was coded to exclude "WEIGHT" from the equation. That's why tiny-165 pound 'Heavyweight' champion Bob Fitzsimmons from the 1800s is ranked ahead of giant Riddick Bowe. How's it possible tiny dwarfism arms ranks higher than Fury Holmes Lewis Vitali Wladimir Foreman Bowe Tyson etc? Well now we all know why! Even though Heavyweight champions ranged from 165lbs (Fitzsimmons) to 328lbs (Valuev), ranking bodies still exclude "WEIGHT" from their metric, even though they STILL ACKNOWLEDGE SEVENTEEN (17) DIFFERENT "WEIGHT" CLASSES, imagine that. "AGE" is another code omitted from the metric. Algorithms don't see Moore was already fightin professionally when little rocky was only TWELVE YEARS old. Algorithms don't see Moore was 41 years "old" and "light" heavyweight moonlighting at Heavyweight. Algorithms don't see Louis's reflexes were non-existent. The Algorithms only see Marciano fought 4 Hall of Famers and went 49-0. That's why ALL Heavyweight rankings should be looked upon with a grain of salt. Unfortunately Rocky fanboys cling to his ranking as if it were life and death.

Powell July 1944 - Gloucestershire, England Private Rocco Marchegiano poses for a mugshot after his arrest for felony assault and robbery, while serving in the US Army during World War 2. Marciano, along with another solider named James Murphy had been accused of robbing two Englishmen and assaulting them. When questioned, Marciano and Murphy claimed to have no knowledge of the incident but after the victims' items were found in their possession they were forced to change their story. Despite pleading his innocence, Marciano was found guilty and sentenced to 7 years hard labour but this was eventually reduced to 3 years - Marciano however only ended up serving 22 months. Murphy on the other hand was sentenced to 10 years.

37 year old Joe Louis had already been fightin "17yrs" with 68 fights and 96 fights before 2 million soldiers during his 4 year military service before facing little Rocky. Light heavyweight Ezzard Charles had already been fightin "15yrs" with 95 fights with an abysmal 43% KO's before facing little Rocky. His best boxing years were already behind him at light heavyweight, not moonlighting at cruiserweight. Charles Lost (25) times and was KO'd (7) times. 41 year old light heavyweight Archie Moore had already been fightin "20yrs" with 178 fights before facing little Rocky in 1955. Exactly 95% of his 141 TKO's came against welterweights, middleweights, light heavyweights and small cruiserweights. Moore Lost (23) times and was KO'd (7) times. Meantime little cruiserweight Rocky Marciano only fought a measly "8yrs" with only 49 fights before he abruptly quit during his prime at only 31yrs of age. If you eliminate his debut fight he actually fought "7yrs" because there was a 15 month gap between his 1st fight and 2nd fight. Little Rocky quitting so soon is not only shameful but not fair to other genuine Heavyweights that he's surpassed in the top 10 rankings. No way in hell this little dude should be ranked higher than Holmes Lewis Foreman Vitali Wladimir Holyfield Tyson Bowe Liston Fury Wilder.

Folks still livin in the past talkin bout how some little 185 lb man is the greatest Heavyweight of all time. Do you see how funny that is? Marciano wasn't a Heavyweight period, and i dont care how you try to justify that he was. Can you name any prime topnotch 200+lb Heavyweights he fought? I know none of you can since he never fought any. But somehow Marciano is the greatest Heavyweight of all time right? This is 2023 and i thought we'd be over this little-man syndrome by now. Rocco Francis Marchegiano was lucky to have fought in an era when his mafioso cousins monopolized boxing and protected him. His best opponents were middleweights and light heavyweights moonlighting as Heavyweights. Marchegiano isn't even top 10 Cruiserweight let alone top 40 Heavyweight.

By contrast, Marciano was just entering his prime. 40yr old cruiser Walcott had already been fighting *"22yrs"* with 68 fights before facing the light heavyweight. Walcott had an abysmal 44% KO's. *This is important. Walcott lost more than 4 years when he was KO'd by a tremendous right cross smash from the 6' 4" 256 lb giant Abe Simon in 1940-02-12. Rocky Mackjeanne was shortened to Rocky Mack just before the fight. *You have to respect every competitor for stepped into the ring but after studying all of his opponents my gut instinct also says Rocky is one of the biggest frauds in boxing history. Joe Louis' 8 fight winning streak which helped him become the #1 ranked contender before he faced the 184 lb light heavyweight. Below is the *"SIX" (6)* boxers Louis beat: #1) 196 lb Cesar Brian (Decision) Brian had an abysmal 36% KO's. Brian's career record of 49 wins 11 losses looks okay until ya see (25) of his wins came against his fellow Argentinians. #2) 191 lb Freddie Beshore (KO) Beshore had an abysmal 24% KO's. His career record was 28 wins 10 losses. 5' 9" Beshore was on a 4-fight losing streak before he faced Joe. Why would Joe even consider fighting someone who had just lost 4 fights? *We all know why!!!* #3) 187 lb Omelio Agramonte (Decision) *Oh wow, oh my, Joe looked terrible, absolutely terrible. What was Joe thinking, he should have stayed retired. I watched their entire fight and Joe's combinations were completely gone. Agramonte looked as if he only weighed 160 lbs. What a shame.* #4) 194 lb Andy Walker (TKO) 17-8-7 Andy had an abysmal 17% KO's. His career record was 18 wins 20 losses. *It's clear as day what's going on here. Smh.* #5) 188 lb Omelio Agramonte -- (Decision AGAIN) -- Why Twice? *We all know why!!!* #6) 190 lb Lee Savold (KO) Even the announcer said, *"Joe Louis reflexes are but a memory."* These two should have been retired. *They just pushed Louis through towards Marciano so everyone could fill their pockets with $$$.* Savold had a career 45 losses and was KO'd 12 times. #7) 197 lb Cesar Brian -- (Decision AGAIN) -- Why Twice? *We all know why!!!* #8) 180 lb Jimmy Bivins (Decision) 5 feet 8.8 inches (1.75 m) light heavyweight Bivins had an abysmal 27% KO's. Yes little Jimmy was a Hall of Famer. But he was a Hall of Famer @ Light heavyweight, not Heavyweight. This is the *'"Heavyweight"'* division we're taking about right? *Talk about bum-of-the-month-club, WOW. A prime Joe would have easily accumulated 8 knockouts against those powder-puffers. It was obviously a predetermined carefully hand-picked set-up.* Boxing-elites, Italian-mafioso, and the IRS really needed Joe to be ranked #1 inorder to get their Louis vs. Marciano $$-SHOW-$$. The only loyalty the Italian-mob had was to $$$. Hey, they took 50% of Marciano's earnings and all ticket sales, all in all $2 Million. $2 Million in 1955 is equivalent to $21 Million today. Carbo and Weill had complete control over Rocky and carefully selected his opponents. *In May of 1950, the IRS finished a full audit of Louis's past returns and announced, that with interest and penalties, he owed the government more than $500,000. Louis had no choice but to return to the ring. The Louis camp negotiated a deal with the IRS under which 36yr old Louis would come out of retirement, with all his net proceeds going to the IRS. After boxing Joe ended up in the pro wrestling circuit and they still took his money. But that gig finished when Cowboy Rocky Lee lunged onto him with both feet, his boots colliding with Louis' torso. The crash cracked three of his ribs. It left him with a cardiac contusion and officially ended his stint as a wrestler. Children used to send him one dollar in the mail. In his biography he said a child walked up and handed him a dime. When Joe was broken physically and mentally the IRS finally stopped collecting. He lived with friends until he died.*

Walcott being granted *(6)* title attempts in a *(5½)* year span (1947 12-05 to 1953 05-15) proves how shallow and weak the so-called 'Heavyweight' division was at that time. *And (5) of his title opportunities came immediately after a loss!!!* This is important. *Giant Abe Simon put Walcott into retirement for 4 years 4 months, from 1940 02-12 to 1944 06-07. It's virtually impossible that Walcott was even remotely prime when he fought the little 184 lb light heavyweight Marciano. Rocky himself said Walcott was only 90% of himself @ 'The Marciano Tapes' #3.* Walcott's most notable victories include wins over light heavyweight Charles, light heavyweight Maxim and light heavyweight Johnson. Light heavyweight Charles lost *(25)* times and was KO'd *(7)* times. Light heavyweight Maxim lost *(29)* times. Light heavyweight Johnson lost *(11)* times and was KO'd *(5)* times. Journeyman Jersey Joe Walcott lost *(20)* times and was KO'd *(6)* times, he was C-LEVEL at best.

By way of comparison undisputed undefeated no°1 p4p bantamweight Naoya Inoue has 67½″ reach, longer than light heavyweight Rocky's 67" reach. Inoue is 5' 5", Rocky 5' 9". Rocky fans continuously try to debate me. What's there to debate? How to magically make Rocky bigger? Throughout his career he only weighed 178 to 186. History cannot be changed. Charles Moore Marciano etcetera were light heavyweights period. As a matter of fact the overwhelming majority of that division was filled with middleweights and/or light heavyweights masquerading as Heavyweights. Perfect example being Harry 'Kid' Matthews who was for the most part a career middleweight. Matthews weighed a mere 130 lbs vs. Joey Parks who also weighed 130, and you call that *"Heavyweight"* division? Shouldn't one have to fight topnotch genuine Heavyweights inorder to be respected as an authentic *"Heavyweight"* champion?

Marciano had been married to the same woman, the former Barbara Cousins, the daughter of a Brockton cop, since Dec. 31, 1950, but the union unraveled long before the decade was done. Barbara tended to obesity, had a serious drinking problem and smoked heavily-she would die of lung cancer in 1974-whereas her husband's tastes ran more to svelte, statuesque blondes, that single glass of wine and smokeless rooms. "He couldn't stand his married life" says Saccone "There was nothing compatible between them." @1993/08/23 THE ROCK - Sports Illustrated Vault | SI So the mesh included people, such as the late Lindy Ciardelli on the West Coast and Paterniti on the East Coast, whose job was to help feed Marciano's prodigious sexual appetite. "Rock liked girls, know what I mean?" Paterniti says. "Nobody wants me to tell you about it, but Rock was insane about girls; that's all he wanted to do, all the time. He constantly had •••ies, night and day.... A friend of mine in New York got me and Rocky thousands of girls. Honestly, literally a thousand girls. We had girls every single day and night. We never see these stats because they are always suppressed. Imagine if today's Heavyweights Fury and Usyk had LOSING records like that? They would be NOBODIES!!! Little cruiserweight Marciano only fought a measly "7yrs" before he abruptly "Quit" during his prime at only 31yrs of age.

Consider that in the December 1962 Ring magazine poll of 40 boxing experts it was Jack Dempsey that was rated the # 1 Heavyweight of all time with Joe Louis 2nd, Jack Johnson 3rd and Rocky Marciano finishing a distant 9th, way behind Dempsey. If he was considered 9th in 1962 how does he propel to the top 5, when since then we have had Muhammad Ali who faced much tougher competition, the big power hitting George Foreman, Larry Holmes who made 20 title defenses, the bigger, faster and more powerful Mike Tyson, and the giant Lennox Lewis who at 6’ 5” 245 pounds would enjoy a 60 pound weight advantage over Rocky? This is a key point. Nat Fleischer rated Marciano at # 10, Charley Rose rated him at # 9, McCallum's survey of old-timers had him at # 9. No major historian who saw Maricano in their lifetime thought he was a top 9 all time heavyweight and 67 years have passed since Rocky retired. WTF? HOW DOES tiny DWARFISM-ARMS GO FROM 9TH PLACE DURING THE EARLY 1960s TO TOP 4 GREATEST HEAVYWEIGHT IN 2023? Because his ranking is determined by modern computer metric algorithms. Problem is this man-made program was coded to exclude "WEIGHT" from the equation. That's why tiny-165 pound 'Heavyweight' champion Bob Fitzsimmons from the 1800s is ranked ahead of giant Riddick Bowe. Even though Heavyweight champions ranged from 165lbs (Fitzsimmons) to 328lbs (Valuev), ranking bodies still exclude "WEIGHT" from their metric, even though they ACKNOWLEDGE SEVENTEEN (17) DIFFERENT "WEIGHT" CLASSES!!! "AGE" is another code omitted from the metric. Algorithms don't see Moore was already fightin professionally when little rocky was only TWELVE YEARS old. Algorithms don't see Charles and Moore were "light" heavyweights moonlighting at Heavyweights. Algorithms can't see Joe Louis's reflexes were non-existent and he clearly telegraphed his punches. The Algorithms only acknowledge Marciano went 49-0 and beat 4 Hall of Famers. That's why all polls and rankings should be looked upon with a grain of salt.

Marciano fanboys describe him as being so fierce that he basically killed all 49 of his opponents in the ring. Y'all have all these Rocky vids saturated with so much exaggerated hyperbolic nonsense that it's laughable. Who's ribs, jaws, noses, eye-sockets, collar-bones, did little Rocky break? WAITING---TIC--TOC--TIC--TOC ..... ""NOBODY""!!!! ""ZERO""!!!! Roland LaStarza with all his supposed 'Broken Bones' and 'Ruptured Blood Vessels' only had minor surgery, what's the big deal? Y'all act as if both his arms were decapitated. When Roland left boxing he went on to a very lucrative TV acting career. Roland simply had tiny miniscule bone-chips removed from his elbow just like David Tua did after his fight with Ibeabuchi. It's a common boxing injury because everyone blocks punches using their forearms & elbows. Besides LaStarza said, "I already had elbow problems before i even fought Marciano." I have the article. Here's a newspaper article about Layne's tooth: "Rex Layne lost a left upper tooth..the tooth broke at the gums when Marciano caught the Utahn in the mouth with a full right hand. Layne was taken immediately after the fight to a New York dentist to have the teeth X-rayed and also for treatment on a broken tooth." Layne's handlers said, "the tooth went out with the gumshield." So Layne only sustained ONE (1) broken tooth! Then he fought Charles exactly 3 months later. What's the big deal? Folks break their teeth all the time skateboarding or slippin-n-fallin on the ice etcetera. "He punched out almost every tooth in Rex Lyne's mouth and sent his gum guard into the crowd. It take massive power to do that. If Layne was 6'6 240+ it wouldn't of made any difference." -- written by a Rocky fanboy 12yrs ago (misinformation at it's finest). Don't be so gullible, Marciano only fed on former middleweights and light heavyweights moonlighting as Heavyweights. He was faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. The Italian infant of Krypton was Superman. Marciano broke 1,247 bones, knocked out 4,679 teeth, and ruptured 792 blood vessels. I also know for a fact that little rocco is god , because when he walked the earth shook.
