"Do you hate Rocky?" "No, I don't hate Balboa. I pity the fool, and I will destroy any man who tries to take what I got!" This is honestly my favorite Rocky movie, hands down. This is because Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) is my favorite character and this is where he shines the most. He was never a bad guy in my eyes. Apollo Creed loves America and never played the victim card. Sure he was egotistical, but he was mature in defeat. Sure these movies are about Rocky, but Apollo is my hero. We need more people like Apollo Creed in this world. Fun Fact: The theatrical movie debut of Mr. T and Hulk Hogan. Hulk Helped Fact: In the scene where Rocky body-slams Thunderlips out of the ring, Sylvester Stallone admitted that he couldn't dead-lift Hulk Hogan so he had Hogan jump into his arms. Family Affair Fact: Sylvester Stallone's first wife Sasha was the blonde groupie who asked for and got a kiss from Rocky during his public training session for his first fight with Clubber Lang (Mr. T). She is also the mother of Sage Stallone. One Statue's Journey Fact: During the making of Rocky III (1982), a nine foot tall, 1,500 pound bronze statue designed by A. Thomas Schomberg was placed at the top of the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Arts. After filming wrapped, Sylvester Stallone tried to donate the statue to the museum but they said they didn't want it, sparking a huge debate between the Museum and the City's Art Commission about what art constituted. The museum claimed the statue was nothing more than a "movie prop" and didn't want it. Local people were outraged, and the statue was ultimately placed in front of the Wachovia Spectrum in South Philadelphia. It was later returned to the Art Museum for the filming of Rocky V (1990), after which it was again moved to the front of the Spectrum. Later the statue was put into storage, and then moved to a park at the foot of the famous stairs leading up to the Philadelphia Museum of Arts.

You're welcome! 😁 I agree with you too. Just because it was commissioned for a movie, doesn't make it any less culturally or artistically impactful. You would think that ANY museum would love to have something like that to attract patrons to their establishment. Go in Peace and Walk with God. 😎 👍

She and Sly had 2 children. Their first son who was the baby in Rocky 2. He was diagnosed with/severe autism in the 70’s and was institutionalized -he now lives w/his mother. Sage died about 6-8 yrs ago. He now has 3 grown daughters w/his wife of 28 yrs Jennifer Flavin-their reality show is really good (a million times better than the Kardashians could ever hope 2 be)

I heard Mr T mother who saw the movie didn't like how Mr T talked to Adrian in the movie and walked out of the cinema. I like the scene where Adrian talk to Rocky on the beach and help him face his fear. the next movie the best in the series in my opinion and the most successful of the franchise. What a great idea it was to have the original nemesis turn trainer and manager. Even as the bad guy, Creed had a class to him...he wasn't a crazed lunatic. Per that idea, I think one of the best lines in the movie was when Apollo went up to Rocky in the first fight and said, "Give everybody a present and drop this chump, all right?" Right at that point, Apollo was backing Rocky. And Rocky's look was thankful for the sentiment, but just a bit puzzled. Love this movie.

I will say this about the Rocky and Rambo series. There's always a great thematic progression. Even if the films themselves may stumble.. There are still ideas that you can see that Stallone clearly had some thoughts about the character in this particular time of their journey. I give him great credit for that even if the films don't quite meet the standards (clearly there's alot in 5 that didn't just work but not for lack of thought).

Or possibly douche, could have gone either way 😂
Do you need to get back to karate kid part two. And by the way, whatever you’re doing keep doing it you look as pretty as a picture.

Probably filming it next, since they leave Netflix at the end of the month 😂
please stop picking on pauly... i think, that he is one of the most tragic characters of any franchise... he´s stuck in his life and place, fully knowing, he can´t get any further, he knows he is an aweful person and just does not know how to change it. he sees everyone geting on with life and feels left behind... so he drinks, and tends to lash out... i think in the first, if not in the second movie it´s mentioned, that when they were kids pauly always had rockys back when rocky got in trouble, and because of this, rocky will not drop him... and since the marriage he´s family.... there is a cut out scene in the sixth movie"Rocky Balboa" that you should watch when you come to that part, that shows a lot of paulies look on things....

I think he reminds me of some unpleasant people in my own life, and by only seeing particular angles of things it’s hard to sympathize with him, but I will try!
Who told you Rocky would have won anyway?? The announcer clearly states that if neither of them get up it’s a draw and Creed retains the title. Go back and listen
