Many people bash Sly's acting, but the guy always delivered some great moments, some great lines that really hits you to the core. Where you don't think of him as Sylvester Stallone, but as Rocky himself. Great scene.

Seriously, I know they're a LOT older than back then, but I'm PRETTY sure they got the experience still so while they're not as fast as before, I'm pretty sure they can still kick some dork's butt if they piss them off enough or give them a reason.

+roktopus Actually it was the opposite. Pikachu never evolved because evolving is the easy way out. You get some stat boosts, you get some new moves, but you don't learn to persevere. Just like evolving a Pikachu too soon causes it to lose it's ability to learn agility and speed. Evolution, that's the easy way out. Evolution is saying "I can't take the hits. I can't take the shots. I can't get up. I need to tag out." And you do. Pikachu tags out and Raichu tags in. But you don't know perseverance until your Pikachu has taken down a Raichu. You don't know strength until your Squirtle has gone toe to toe with a Magmar. You don't know courage until you've sent your Oddish against a Charizard. Evolution?! PAH I spit at evolution. It's for the weak who cannot work to that level. It's for those who need shortcuts because they don't have what it takes to climb the mountain. Fear doesn't keep you from evolving. It forces you too. Because you're too scared you can't make it without that crutch. Too scared you can't get up one more time. Too scared you won't be able to endure the trials ahead. Evolution? Screw Evolution. We don't need a crutch to conquer the world.

The "adult world" you convince yourself of is a delusional facade only people who haven't hit adulthood dream up. Try not to use compounded words like "pseudo-intelligent" when you have little understanding of your opposing party's argument. It makes others see you as misinformed and ignorant of your stance. Also, using internet speak to belittle only removes any doubt of your lack of solid argument. You have a lot to learn of verbal communication and reading others. "Until you start believing in yourself you aint gonna have a life" - This for me is true and has always been! Whenever I start to believe in myself I start to get ahead. Now, Im not that great at taking punches so naturally I start blaming stuff, the victim mentality comes along. This is something I am working on, and I believe at the bottom of my heart that when my belief in myself gets strong enough to take the punches it will change my life for the better.

This speech always helps me when i'm feeling stressed and depressed.

He has a speech impediment from an accident made by the doctor who delivered him when he was born, giving him a bit of a slur when he talks. It gives you the impression that he's not smart but he's actually a brilliant film writer, director, and actor.

For some people in 'Generation Me' (who might never watch Rocky before and feel like you have to carry the expectation of this era on your shoulder, something like early success), I recommended you to watch the first Rocky (1976), skipped its all sequels except this 'Rocky Baboa' (VI). These excellent two films would be your greatest life vest when you feel like you're drowning in the sea of pain and disappointment.

Stallone is a proper actor, who delivers with passion , heart and spirit, the real success of the Rocky series is its honesty to deal with proper issues that effect everyone in life, death, loneliness, rejection, worthlessness, sadness , but the real spirit and the core of the film inspires everyone to never give up, no matter how tough things get, as the hardest punch you'll have take is life itself, but never stop dreaming or believing

The ironic thing is, after he gave this speech to his son, Rocky Junior quit his job the next day. And later ran away with his girlfriend to Vancouver and doesn't speak to his dad anymore.

This is me and my fathers relationship to the tee. I used to be a happy little boy but when my parents broke up I changed, I stopped being me. 10 yeard have passed and I am overwhelmed by depression. This breaks my fathers heart seeing me like this but I was told by a clos friend I am a strong person after what I have been through. Dad wasnt always around when I was young but I am my own man. Depressiom sucks. Happy one minute and feeling down in a split second then happy again an hour later.
