I think humans should just ditch concepts like dating, marriage, and pair bonding. I feel like this world would be a much better place without romance than it is with it. It does seem that nearly all fathers are hoping that their daughters never date or get married and remain single for the rest of their lives. Romantic relationships seem like a bad thing since there is a lot of dangers when it comes to them. The overprotective father thing is proof that romantic relationships are a bad thing, and this world would be a much better place without them. If someday that the human race ditches the concept of romance and romantic relationships, and got rid of stuff like dating and marriage, fathers would be happy about it since they wouldn't ever have to worry about their daughters ever dating if that ever happened.

I’m a father and I agree with him 100%. Although if I was to date his daughter I would seek his approval first!! Old school manners.

Being a father of 3 girls, things I look for are how respectful they are and how they carry themselves, whether they're intimated or not. So don't be honking your horn when you pick up my girls.

Love it. He just wants to make sure they find a man that will care for them, love and protect them as he does. And the first man that comes in, shakes his hand, and then comes back is the keeper. He seems like a cool guy, and much like my dad, if you don’t give him a reason to keep sharpening the knives, you’ll be ok.

If a man doesn’t treat you as good as your father or better, don’t date him!! Stay top shelf!!

Trouble is, Sly's attitude sets the guy up for a 'catch 22' If in the first couple dates he doesn't 'stand up to dad' he looks weak. If he does, then he looks needy. You're a guy. You know you can't look too desperate in her eyes. Yet standing up to 'psycho dad' will do exactly that. She'll see the guy as needy and won't want him anyway. That's probably Sly's strategy all along.

The daughters are so beautiful and well behaved. God bless you and your family.

I met them without dad, very polite/educated ladies. I worked retail and most famous people didn't want to talk to us or were just plain rude. I didn't know who they were, but you could tell they're rich people who were raised with education and manners. Once they left another customer told me who they were.
