I have a joint tbr game suggestion for future, similarly to this time you do rock paper scissors but you have two piles each one for yourself and a forfeit pile for the other person, if you win you get to have the book in your own pile (Joy), if you loose you get the book from the other persons forfeit pile which could be anything (Eeeee!!). It would be so fun to see then you both have a vlog reading them 😊

Here are some book recommendations ,Ian. First is The Shadow of the Wind. Steven King calls it one of the best Gothic novels that he has read. Second is THE CHILL by Ross MacDonald. It's one of the best Detective novels ever written. Third is anything by James Lee Burke. If you really want to read something different, how about reading one of Colin Cotterill's mysteries. DISCO FOR THE DEPARTED or THE WOMAN WHO WOULD NOT DIE are two of my favorites.

Anything by King usually reads quickly for me. McCammon books read fast despite how long they are because you cannot put them down. I mean, you can, but you feel remorse. But you gotta pay the bills, so I've been reading a lot in the evenings when I'm done working and just finished Speaks the Nightbird. If you haven't read any of McCammon's Matthew Corbett mysteries, please do. Excellent historical fiction with great world building.
