Reading My Wife’s Romance Books For A week | Reading Vlog

Ойын-сауық

In today's video, I read romance books for one week! 'Tis the season of love, and reading romance books for a week seems like the right video to make. Throughout the video, my wife gives me romance books to read (that I am totally oblivious to). Enjoy, and thanks for stopping by!

This was a fun idea for the month of February. I don't typically read the romance genre only because I usually see the miscommunication trope used too much and I don't like it. I always tell myself with being in a relationship myself communication is the most important thing. I enjoyed The Seven Year Slip I have not read any of others but I have heard of them. Hope you had an enjoyable Valentine's Day and a fun reading month so far.

I find that many people and also in romance novels, lust is mistaken for love. Many people in fiction and IRL mistake physics intimacy as connection because of vulnerability that is there physically. Also unless you’re able to have emotional intimacy/connection with someone you don’t really know that person. You can’t build a relationship on chemical/hormonal reactions when you don’t have a foundation to build upon

  • @giadaamarini4724

I've never read a Christina Lauren book. That quote though 😂🙈. I definitely do not over romanticize everything... & that's probably why I'm not really a fan of romance books. If something annoys you, thats isnt going to stop just because you love someone... you just learn to live with it because you love them. Authors sometimes ignore that for tge fluff. Besides, I prefer something else in the plot (mystery, fantasy, etc.). I think its sweet you wanted to read some of the books Ashlynn loves. It was such a cute idea!

I wish authors would make it more realistic, too. They almost fetishize how people feel about out each other, and that’s it very honest. I, too, like something more to the story: fantasy, thriller, etc.

Another option of title "How to torture your housband for a week" 🤣 At least for me were all DNF book those who are showing at the camara 😅 Sorry, romance isn't my thing.

Your frustrations at the descriptions of over romanticising the partners or love interests align with me thoughts. It's just unnecessary. I hope authors take into notice how the words on pages come across to readers 😅

Ian don’t worry, I’m a woman and I think the description that you read in the book was disgusting as well! And even when I was a teenager and obsessed with some guy that I wasn’t with and he never liked me, I never thought of that and that is bizarre and Rose and someone needs to pour water on that girl.

Love and other words is my LEAST liked CL book of the ones I read. Not sure what it is about it but I just can’t stand it

Awesome video 💯‼️ Ashlynn’s romance picks are the first reason why I give them a chance but I am not too big on romance books. This book sounds interesting to me and I will give it a listen when my library has it available only because I like the concept of time travel concept as well as the finding one’s passion concept. I also like your take on a genre that is not your favourite ❤️🩷💝💖 Happy Place was my second Emily Henry book after The People We Meet on Vacaction and imo the people we meet on vacation is my favourite and while I don’t want to read the other Emily Henry books I definitely think that you might like the people we meet on Vacation book. I totally agree with you on love and other words and I would give it a 2.5 ⭐️ and that’s me being nice and I agree with you on why I would continue reading romance books. TOG is the least romantic book series and so for it’s my favourite followed by Crescent City. As for romance I am going to be sticking to YA level romance 😅
