Great video man. Just subscribed lol. I actually just finished my first year on my “reading journey”. I have read since highschool and now I’m almost 30. I got the audio book Piranessi randomly. Don’t even know how or why, but that was my first book. I was immediately hooked and finished the year with 27 books. We have similar taste but I lean more scifi. Loved the Red Rising books and I just finished Empire of Silence so I’m going down that rabbit hole now. Keep it up man 🤙🏼

Love and appreciate the content about reading while at work. I completely relate to this. I do a LOT of audiobooks. It’s how I keep my sanity at work. I work close to 60 hrs/week/3rd shift in manufacturing, and then try to spend the little time that I have left with my wife and baby daughter. If I didn’t have audiobooks, I would not be able to consume as much as I do. Fiction, non fiction, theology. So, I listen to a lot while I’m working. Audible, Libby, Everand. Currently 38% through Red Rising and loving it. Excited to finally dive into this series. Malice by John Gwynne is up next. Love the content and vibe on the channel.

(Only genres I don't really read is Romance and Extreme Horror.) I go through phases where one genre or two may be more weighted than others, but I still get a good mix throughout the month and year. I read how to lose the time war and it was kind of boring for me because it wasn’t what I expected as the whole time travel was kind of weird to me. WOW 🤩 awesome video brilliant job done ‼️💯always love your book choices 😅😊 I also tried to read Malice and I had to dnf it at chapter 26 or at the 32% of the way because I had no idea what I was reading so maybe I need to get the physical book or just get the audible if it’s really worth finishing? Also thanks to you I have have been thinking of getting into Joe Abercrombie world and I totally understand it when you skip the sexual scenes because for me reading about spicy scenes just doesn’t work for me because I can’t picture book scenes I do have adhd and dyslexia so having to read sexual content is kind of weird for me.

Time war: the more I think about this book, the more I’m convinced it would be in my top ten of all time. Needful things: items aren’t cursed, he sells items for “one small favor” and it all SEEMS harmless until you see the overall greater picture. Then. Madness! It was so good. The audio… daaaaaanfoooorth! Daaaaaanfooooorth! Iykyk lol Scarlet sky: liked it. Forgot everything about it. Read it during a massive ‘let’s read fifty wwii books back to back!’ Era. lol. Strange/norrell: the show is better. The writing was just that British dry kinda writing that made me feel like i was being forced to read a classic in high school. She somehow made this super cool magic spell feel boring with her description. Show was Excellent. Piranesi: all problems from above fixed. Loved it. lol Kristin Hannah can do no wrong

If you havnt read any Sanderson yet idk if I would start with way of kings. I’m on my Sanderson journey I read WOK two months ago I loved it but idk if I would have felt that same way if I started my journey there rather than with mistborn. Right now I am reading warbreaker and loving every bit of this standalone.

I would be careful to compare Sun Eater with Red Rising. They are both space opera's, but they go in completely different ways. Sun Eater is also definitely not as fast-paced as Red Rising and Ruocchio's prose is way more flowery than Pierce Brown.
