Rock Band Singer hears Greta Van Fleet for 1st time - Heat Above - Old Guy Reaction
Greta Van Fleet in Heat Above was so awesome. I brought in this guest artist who sings in a Classic Rock Band on the east coast to listen to Greta and she was blown away. She said that she was going to make her band play Greta. Lol
It was such a fun reaction....Greta Van Fleet is going to be so big. They have to be. They are soooo good!

I bought their first album and loved it, but kind of wrote them off as Led Zeppelin copycats. But THIS is the real deal. This is the real Greta Van Fleet. They are well on their way to becoming legends. In time, they will.
Lead singer Josh Kiszka, has a 5 octive range. He's 5 minutes older than his twin, Jake Kiszka lead guitar. Younger brother Sam Kiszka on bass, organ, piano and plays bass foot pedals when on keys. Danny Wagner is phenomenal on drums. Sam and Dan have known each other since kindergarten and they all grew up in a smallish town called Frankenmuth, MI.

Indeed, GVF is destined for greatness. Their latest album, _The Battle at Garden's Gate,_ is one of the best albums I've ever heard. As you know, _Heat Above_ is fantastic. The epic _Age of Machine_ is arguably better, and _Broken Bells_ is their best effort to date - about as good as any rock classic. Watch these guys. Yes, guys, Joy is the gift of Greta Van Fleet. I dont recall another band we could say that about. Even their harder, or more solemn, songs - some of my favorites (check out the Age of Machine video!), you can still feel the genuine soul-deep joy these guys feel when they play. Phenomenal and incomparable. 🤗💗 Peace, love & unity. Keep the joy!
I heard ‘Heat Above’ while driving on the radio. I actually thought it was Janis Joplin and I’m like did I miss this song of hers? Since then I’m a huge fan, 65 and they make me smile and feel alive. Each member of this band has their own invaluable role. There are 3 brothers. Lead guitarist, Jake recently won an award for best Guitarist. He started band with his twin brother, Josh. He “plays the vocals.” Younger brother, Sam, key board, base guitar and so much more and their best friend, Daniel, plays the drums. Each are invaluable-irreplaceable to their unique sound. Red Rocks videos of their performance there are Mesmerizing. Wish I would have been there. Must Love Greta Van Fleet❤️.

I just wish I could have caught them live at Red rocks that would have been amazing

I love this song. What blew me away even more was that only us old guys would recognize the 3M Bookshelf game Acquire. I think I had Stocks and Bonds, Mr. President, and Twixt too. Great song reaction and thanks for the blast from the past.
I can remember where I was the first time I heard heat above. Camping trip at Balsam lake 2021. I will never forget it.
We have Greta Van Fleet and what we have is Josh is doing Josh! And he clearly loves to sing. The sheer joy of it. And Jake and Sam and Danny all love what they do. They also have individually won awards. I cannot wait till people just listen to the glory of GVF and stop it with comparisons - and that time will come because they are amazing and actually unique. And apart from their musical ability, what people don't comment on enough is their lyrics are so beautiful and full of meaning.
These two expressed what I've been feeling and trying to express for the past few years!
Greta reactions are so lacking these days, came up just as I was wanting one. This band just continues to blow my mind, this is absolutely changing the direction of music in general for the current generation and I'm here for it. I grew up on a lot of those bands-well, more like I was raised on it. My parents grew up on it, but was the reason that I got into it. Been a long time Queen and Led Zepplin fan, since my teens. I'm so grateful that sounds like this are coming back. I hope you listen to the entire album as well, not a bad song on it. 😄

Fun reaction guys! I grew up in the 60's and 70's with bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, Beatles, Rolling Stones and so many more. These young men are absolutely great and definitely evoke so many of those great bands while maintaining a special brand of their own. There are few bands that I would put up with my favorites from my youth, however there is one band that is so very unique and exceptional that I would love to hear you guys react to - Nightwish. The ONLY REAL ROCK band of nowadays ...let's hope that MANY others will follow their style
Being 50 years old, I've listened and witnessed the music era change so much. Some of the greatest bands and sounds of all time were in the 70's and 80's and that sound sadly went away over time... but then GVF comes along and it takes me right back to the era. They truely have a talent and sound that will awaken an old generation. They are amazing and I wish them all the best.
I am so glad that now that Young people had/have a chance to here Greta Van Fleet. A lot of there music style comes from there parents music collection and that is kinda how they play music. And even now the days of being called a Led Zeppelin & Rush copycat band are now gone. They have found there element. Great Rock & Roll band.
AHHHHH i was so excited when i saw this, i watched all of your one direction videos and i just got into greta van fleet and love people reacting to them!!! And im seeing them in a week :)))
Great Video! I'm such a big Greta fan so this made me happy!
I've seen them 3 times, the last time fronting for Metallica. I just bought tickets today to see them in Orange County, Ca in NOVEMBER! I CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow...that is super cool!
I hear a little Black Crowes as well…love this band! The bass and guitar players are twins and the singer their brother.
Great reaction! They are part of the new generation of R&R which is emerging in front of us. And since you like young Rock'n'Roll, I think I have something you are going to like. A lot! The band is called "The Warning". They are 3 very young sisters from Mexico (but they sing in English) who are a hard rock band. I suggest that you start with the official video of the song "Evolve". I (and the rest of the fans) will give you more recommendations after that. And there are a lot, believe me... 🙂

Thank you for the recommendation! Just listened to my first The Warning track and I'm excited to hear more. Bless ya!
I love watching people of my generation listening to GVF for the first time. RUSH is one of my fave bands and this guy has that kind of legendary sound. ... the whole band is awesome. "We're on the ground floor of something big here." So true, man. Great reaction !
