Rock Band Singer hears Greta Van Fleet for 1st time - Heat Above - Old Guy Reaction

Greta Van Fleet in Heat Above was so awesome. I brought in this guest artist who sings in a Classic Rock Band on the east coast to listen to Greta and she was blown away. She said that she was going to make her band play Greta. Lol
It was such a fun reaction....Greta Van Fleet is going to be so big. They have to be. They are soooo good!

I bought their first album and loved it, but kind of wrote them off as Led Zeppelin copycats. But THIS is the real deal. This is the real Greta Van Fleet. Kudos to them because they have found their true calling. Amazing stuff and I am blown away, years after hearing their early stuff and liking it a lot but thinking it was derivative.

Lead singer Josh Kiszka, has a 5 octive range. He's 5 minutes older than his twin, Jake Kiszka lead guitar. Younger brother Sam Kiszka on bass, organ, piano and plays bass foot pedals when on keys. Danny Wagner is phenomenal on drums. Sam and Dan have known each other since kindergarten and they all grew up in a smallish town called Frankenmuth, MI.

Indeed, GVF is destined for greatness. Their latest album, _The Battle at Garden's Gate,_ is one of the best albums I've ever heard. As you know, _Heat Above_ is fantastic. The epic _Age of Machine_ is arguably better, and _Broken Bells_ is their best effort to date - about as good as any rock classic. Watch these guys. Yes, guys, Joy is the gift of Greta Van Fleet. I dont recall another band we could say that about. Even their harder, or more solemn, songs - some of my favorites (check out the Age of Machine video!), you can still feel the genuine soul-deep joy these guys feel when they play. Phenomenal and incomparable. 🤗💗 Peace, love & unity. Keep the joy!

I heard ‘Heat Above’ while driving on the radio. I actually thought it was Janis Joplin and I’m like did I miss this song of hers? Since then I’m a huge fan, 65 and they make me smile and feel alive. Each member of this band has their own invaluable role. There are 3 brothers. Lead guitarist, Jake recently won an award for best Guitarist. He started band with his twin brother, Josh. He “plays the vocals.” Younger brother, Sam, key board, base guitar and so much more and their best friend, Daniel, plays the drums. Each are invaluable-irreplaceable to their unique sound. Red Rocks videos of their performance there are Mesmerizing. Wish I would have been there. Must Love Greta Van Fleet❤️.

We have Greta Van Fleet and what we have is Josh is doing Josh! And he clearly loves to sing. The sheer joy of it. And Jake and Sam and Danny all love what they do. They also have individually won awards. I cannot wait till people just listen to the glory of GVF and stop it with comparisons - and that time will come because they are amazing and actually unique. And apart from their musical ability, what people don't comment on enough is their lyrics are so beautiful and full of meaning.

Greta reactions are so lacking these days, came up just as I was wanting one. This band just continues to blow my mind, this is absolutely changing the direction of music in general for the current generation and I'm here for it. I grew up on a lot of those bands-well, more like I was raised on it. My parents grew up on it, but was the reason that I got into it. Been a long time Queen and Led Zepplin fan, since my teens. I'm so grateful that sounds like this are coming back. I hope you listen to the entire album as well, not a bad song on it. 😄

Fun reaction guys! I grew up in the 60's and 70's with bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, Beatles, Rolling Stones and so many more. These young men are absolutely great and definitely evoke so many of those great bands while maintaining a special brand of their own. There are few bands that I would put up with my favorites from my youth, however there is one band that is so very unique and exceptional that I would love to hear you guys react to - Nightwish. They are a Symphonic Metal band from Finland with a phenomenal lead vocalist. I'd recommend their live performance of Ghost Love Score at Wacken open air festival 2013. I think you will really enjoy it. Meanwhile, subscribed for your Greta reaction.

It’s magical. Please PLEASE do The Weight of Dreams from the same album and wait for the guitar solo- the whole thing is a masterpiece. Also, Age of Machine- wow!!! Some of the greatest bands and sounds of all time were in the 70's and 80's and that sound sadly went away over time... but then GVF comes along and it takes me right back to the era. They truely have a talent and sound that will awaken an old generation. They are amazing and I wish them all the best.
