This is how scripting tutorials should be tbh, they are quick, easy, and simple. Also, this video has really helped me lately because I left scripting for a little while and have come back recently; however, I can't seem to grasp things as well as I used to. I was about to watch the same 2 hours of scripting tutorials that I had prior, but then I saw this in my recommended and went ahead and watched it. Literally have remembered everything and am already ready to start working on my project! Thanks CovertCode!

@@Normalmical lol it is do you want a 5 minute tutorial speedrun? becauce you would not have enough knowledge to be considered a tutorial and it is normally an hour for other videos and that have like 10 parts

quick, to the subject and right into the good stuff, best scripting tutorial I've experienced.

This was the fastest, easiest, simplest tutorial out of all of them, it took less then an hour (NO PAUSES) very understandle and actually looked simple

Wow, that's a real teacher, people should learn how to teach from you. I do have a small problem, at the end of the vid where you showed how to script text and countdown, I couldn't see anything because everything in your vid started getting blurry

I suggest you explain the difference between putting the script inside the ServerScriptStorage and inside a specific object like a part. I know you mentioned that a script won't work on the TextLabel so you need to use the LocalScript instead. I just hope you elaborate why so beginners who has 0 knowledge could understand it immediately instead of them googling about it while or after watching this video. Overall, this video is really helpful compared to the previous videos I've watched before. 10/10

Creating inverse kinematics functions for re-use is common I am guessing? I know that people do inverse kinematics in studio but I don't know if they reference it later in a string very often, perhaps how people typically make their strings cleaner.

Hi, I'm a beginner in both lua and coding as a whole. I've played games all my life and someone close to me noticed that I came up with many ideas for games and features for games and suggested I become a developer with them. I've been fantasizing about being a developer and I've had so many ideas that recently I've decided to finally get serious about learning code. I've started off with lua because people everywhere say it's the easiest to learn, and that when you learn one coding language, other coding languages become very easy to learn. Also I've played roblox since 2015-16 and I wanna give back to the community I love (sometimes get mad at but that's a part of any community). I feel like starting here will be the kick I need into something great. I've been listening to your video for maybe 2 hours (I have problems remembering things and I'm a slow learner when it comes to this stuff), but that's because I've been pausing and rewinding a lot to jot down notes on notepad. I've been testing out things with scripts along the way on roblox studio and I'll say this video really taught me some stuff! Although, I'm very confused at some things because I don't really know common terminology and I don't know the basics. So I was wondering how you learned coding and if you suggest writing down and learning the terms and basics before watching this video in it's entirety? I saw that you have another video that's more in depth, and I plan on watching it after this one.

for example, you want to make a blocks colour change every second, you write the code and put it in the loop so instead of writing the code however many times you just write the function of the loop and its short and simple.

Sorry, but two questions around 2:50 if you don't mind answering. But why is workspace lowercase yet what I believe is the child of workspace (Baseplate) is capitalized ? Also at this point in time you said "Notice we have two equal signs" But did not explain why, maybe I should go back and watch the slower videos, but I feel the main thing that throws me off isn't always the how it works, but why it works that way. As in I understand the If/And statement, but I often forget "oh this needs two "==" or an upper case letter or a "." here which I think is a huge throw-off to most. How can we better remember things such as this?

variables is like a store of a box. You feed that box information to complete a certain command. It will later be referenced to shorten it.
