Changing trainers usually doesn't work out well for most. Bradley made money, but Teddy really didn't change much. Even Brandon Rios left and then came back. I personally think Vergil realized that he isn't what he's been hyped to be, especially being that Hooker touched him up and Mean Machine wobbled him. I think he wants to go juice plain and simple.

Mikey looking bad has nothing to do with Robert or the training but Mikey getting complacent, losing the hunger, not staying disciplined. You want ve a trainer or can't expect to have a trainer for every fighter no gym does that. It's not like they are new to the sport, they simply need the motivation and support and a few tips here and there and tailored training camp come big fights, you make it sound like a dedicated personal trainer is needed year round. Say for instance weightlifter don't need a personal trainer year Rd, only when they reach a plateau or near competition to tackle specific areas.

Never seen a boring Robert Garcia interview....😂see how he makes light issue of Vergil Ortiz situation, he was also honest. I pray he gets more top fighters in his camp.

The breakup says more about Garcia’s estimation of Vergil than anything. Ask yourself; If Robert thought he had the next great champion, the next Canelo Alvarez, let’s say, in his midst, does he go to train a different fighter? He sensed that Sr and Jr weren’t happy with his decision, but he didn’t bend over backward to keep him, did he? Also, Oscar De la Hoya wasn’t at the fight vs. Mean Machine either. The same question, if Oscar thought Vergil was his next Canelo, does he miss the fight??? Hell no. Pay attention to actions, not words. The promoter and the trainer don't think as highly of Vergil as his fans.

Vergil Ortiz was quickly becoming one of my favorite fighters and him joining the juice team was a real let down , i just hope he stays away from Oscar's tea and Canelo's meat
