Tarver is fibbing when he's saying Roy Jones wasn't affected by having to sweat off 24lbs from heavyweight back down to light heavyweight. Roy Jones was clearly a shell of his former self in the Tarver fights.

@KZread Censors Me Stop with the bull shit. A 24 lb drop in weight has a tremendous impact on your physiology as a boxer. Any NORMAL person is even advised not to lose weight too fast. Obviously a major weight drop is going to impact an athlete operating at the highest level. Tarver lost to a guy (Bernard Hopkins) that Roy dominated clearly in his better days. Tarver is solid but let’s be real.

@@cameronwise6718 At 160 he had a chance to become undisputed. He already was a unified champion at 160. He was also the unified champion at 154 but as we all know he lost to Floyd. He wasn't champion when Andrade had the 154 belt. No unification. Andrade was stripped of that title for pricing himself out of a fight with Jermell twice and Lara once in 2014-2015. That's also why the Charlos or anybody else don't want to do business with Andrade. Charlo said he won't get a payday out of me😂 Andre Ward said there is no upside to fighting Andrade. He ruined his own career.

The weight affected Roy. Let's be honest Tarver, you lost to Harding before Roy moved up. So you lost the chance to fight Roy at his best; if you would've beat Harding and you lost. And saying that moving to heavyweight didn't effect Roy, then why after the Rocky movie when you put on that heavyweight weight and had to lose it, Bernard was pushing you around like a rag doll, like he was Hercules. You know the weight effected you, just like it effected Roy.

Here's what you missing. Tarver been wanting to fight Roy. He was the mandatory for years.roy ducked him. It wasn't until tarver crasher his press conference that he decided to fight tarver. Yeah he lost to harding but came back and knocked his ass out. Harding gave Jones real problems and that was a close fight

Tony Bellew beat Makabu back in 2016 by KO after getting up off the canvas, the fight to make is Beterbiev at Cruiserweight, that's a real challenge. Tyson has the Heavyweight Division in a headlock and that trilogy with Wilder who really did show he's a true Champ and both in there prime, it was needed for Boxing in general specially for the Heavyweight Division. Did you guys listen to Antonio Tarver at all? He explained it in plain detail... moving up in weight makes it look like you're ducking, when you move up to fight a guy who has NO CHANCE of beating you, instead of fighting an elite opponent in your division. In addition, if you watch ESPN/FOX sports, the Cruiserweight division is rarely even talked about, which begs the question, "Who are the elite fighters in that division?" Anyone with half a brain knows that his Cruiserweight opponent will be paid to take a dive (just like Sergey Kovalev). And some say, people just don't wanna give Canelo props. Well, his fellow Mexican boxing legends aren't giving him props either.

Tarver you hit it right on the head. Nobody is saying that guys like Benavidez, Betervier, etc beat Canelo, but they bring something to the table that Canelo has not seen before. Its time for Canelo to step up to the plate and face guys that could bring a new dimension for him to contend with. Canelo has been too comfortable fighting guys that dont have the right skillset to get him out of his comfort zone, or are unwilling to make him uncomfortable.

he literally just cleaned out a division, and is now moving up to cruiserweight giving up many advantages to make history, 5 division world champion, all the other guys do not give him what he needs, and plus he has stated that he has plans to fight 3x in 2022 so they can still fight, and benavidez lost his belt to taco bell, andrade is STILL fighting bums, bivol and beterbiev dont wanna fight each other. its ridiculous the standards set for canelo

Canelo got the WBC belt on this undisputed run WITHOUT earning it, it was just gifted to him by being added to the Smith fight, Smith himself was coming off a ROBBERY, and shouldn't have been a champion. Canelo then defended this belt against his former sparring partner who tested positive for two steroids following the same fight/camp Canelo tested positive for clenbuterol. At 154 instead of fighting Andrade he fought Kirkland who was already KO'b by a bum with over 10 losses, and when Andrade got stripped he had no problem fighting Liam Smith for the same belt he did not fight Andrade for, moving up to 160 Andrade has the only belt he needs for undisputed, no bueno, he chooses the Fieldings, and Kovalevs for less money and clout, Charlo becoming his mandatory he requests and accepts a fake mickey mouse belt that gives him NO MANDATORIES, so now no mandatory can challenge him under the WBC while he's champion, up to 168 after David loses his belt to go undisputed, David lost his belt in 2020, and was definitely back on weight by time Canelo could have faced him in a vacant title clash for his belt back which was the RIGHT THING TO DO, and protocol for this situation; but no the WBC belt is just gifted to Canelo, he dodges the best opponent yet again at a division and he is given the credit of pound for pound KING, which means beating the BEST FIGHTERS PERIOD, belt or not, even though he is almost solely belt chasing weaker champions. Anyone who follows boxing or sports in general knows that the best player or fighter in a league or division etc. is often times not currently a champion for a variety of reasons, Canelo fanboys try to equate champion=best 100% of the time, when in reality that is FAR FROM THE TRUTH.

I think he goes down to Light Heavyweight and stays there. Maybe Benavidez goes up because it doesn't look like he could continue at 168. Hopefully we get that fight in 2023.

Awesome interview

He's going up to cruiser weight to comfortably come back down and beat the bigger fighters in light heavyweight and super middle weight. An excellent strategy. Some of the fighters in super middle weight such as Benavidez should be naturally in cruiser weight but sacrifice some weight to be more powerful in a lighter division. He's going up to come back down.

Exactly he fights Kovalev at 175 to prepare for 168, now he fights at 180-200 for preparation for 175. I don’t understand how people think Benavidez was the best fighter at 168 when Callum Smith was the best.

Benavidez hasn’t dine 💩 to deserve a fight, all these guys waiting on Canelo are freeloaders at this point. Andrade was mentioned Munguia and he refused they just want money
